Chapter 31: Reconciliation

I hadn’t seen or heard from Robin in several days, not since I’d thrown him out of my apartment. I might have been angry at him for what he’d said and then for what he’d done to Felix, but I didn’t want him to disappear entirely.

Since the night I placed Robin under my spell we had seen each other every day. We talked on the phone and texted constantly. Spent every night together.

And then he was just gone and silent.

I was beginning to worry that he wasn’t coming back. Maybe I’d hurt him more than I realized when I told him to leave. I have a habit of doing that, apparently.

Or maybe Felix had been right, and Robin’s changing behavior meant the spell was changing.

Maybe Robin had somehow broken free, and our relationship was over.

Just another broken relationship to add to the list.

Felix had become distant again, and even Linc was pulling away. I was left alone, and I hated it.
