The Love Plague

Love is complicated. It’s something that takes time and patience to cultivate. Something that needs to be earned. To the young witch Jessica White, love is something that can and should be acquired using magic. Deeply infatuated with Robin heath, captain of her college football team and known playboy, Jessica sets out to turn him into her idealized boyfriend. With the help of her friend Felix, she devises a love spell that will turn Robin into everything she wants him to be. While everything seems to go fine at first, a problem quickly appears: the spell can spread to other people. Chapter 27: Confrontation

I turned around at the sound of my name being called. Even though I recognized the voice, I was still surprised to see Robin running to catch up to me. As far as I knew we’d never spoken before; Jessica had clearly spoken to him about me.

Judging by the look on his face, Jessica probably hadn’t said anything good.

“Can I help y --!”

That was as far as I got before Robin’s fist collided with my jaw. Pain exploded through my face, and the taste of blood filled my mouth. I hit the ground hard with my right shoulder taking the worst of the impact.

“Get up!”

I managed to turn my head to find Robin standing over me, the look on his face like something out of a nightmare.

“I told you to get up!” Robin repeated angrily.

“What the hell is your problem?” I asked as I slowly and carefully climbed back to my feet.
