The Love Plague

Love is complicated. It’s something that takes time and patience to cultivate. Something that needs to be earned. To the young witch Jessica White, love is something that can and should be acquired using magic. Deeply infatuated with Robin heath, captain of her college football team and known playboy, Jessica sets out to turn him into her idealized boyfriend. With the help of her friend Felix, she devises a love spell that will turn Robin into everything she wants him to be. While everything seems to go fine at first, a problem quickly appears: the spell can spread to other people. Chapter 18: A Certain Plot

Tyler’s home was a bit of a hike out of the city. Not that it was surprising. Most of the magic he practices would be too easy to notice in an urban environment. It does make commuting to and from a bit of a challenge though.

I pulled into the driveway of Tyler’s home, but as soon as I stepped out of my car, someone pulled in behind me and blocked me in.

Rude and annoying, but before I could voice any complaint, those feelings were replaced by surprise as the driver door of the new car opened and Linc stepped out.

“Hey, Felix,” she called.

“Linc?” I was still surprised. “What are you doing here?”

“Probably the same thing you’re doing here,” she replied as walked up to me. “Tyler told me what you two have planned, and I want in.”

I scowled at that. “We don’t have anything planned,” I told her honestly. “I don’t even know if anything is going to come out of tonight or not.”
