chapter 5

I took a bus back to the office, I didn't know whether to be angry or feel at fault, as to why he left me I took the elevator back to the office and walked towards the office , I stood outside a bit and took a deep breath to get my emotions in check , i finally opened the doors and stepped inside the office, I looked up at him on his desk he looked down at me, I was resisting the urge to send an eye roll his way, I went toward my desk but before I could settle down.

"come here" he said, I looked up to him and squinted my eyes a bit and walked up to him, he smirked and shook his head .

" I wonder what you are to the heir of the ANDERSON CORPORATION" he asked, I couldn't believe he called me here to know what my relationship with xavier is,

"sir not to be disrespectful but I think what my business is with him is between me and him" I replied, he smirked and rested his head on his knuckles.

"miss tessa I think it does concern me as ANDERSON CORPORATION is not only a company we are about to do business with but our rivals" he said and looked up at me "so I think I have to be concerned with the relationship between him and my secretary for all I know you could be a spy who he bribed into...." I cut him off

"sir first of all I still won't tell you my relationship with xavier, second of all if I was a spy for him wouldn't it be stupid for him to hug me in front of you or at all" I said and met his gaze, he didn't say anything to me and I went back to my desk and continued filing more documents for the new contract, my phone then began to buzz , I took ot out from my bag and checked the mame of the caller, of course just what I needed right now a call from beth, I picked it up.

"heyy"

"hi well I hope you know I'm still working but considering the fact that you called I guess not"

"tess I told you I was going to call so it's not my fault you didn't prepare for it"

"fine say what you want to say and be snappy about it"

" well I wanted to tease you about your boss but ...." I ended the call, the last thing I wanted to hear was anything about him.

it was already 8:00 and I left the building not bothering to tell my boss its time to go, if he wants to go he'll go, wants to stay then stay.As I stepped outside I noticed the grey skies and the droplets of water that fell from it, I had to get a cab quick, I walked up to the sidewalk and trued to stop a car but they just kept on passing through, the droplets then began to turn to rain I ran back into the office but I was already drenched, the CEO was walking towards the exit he spotted me since I was by the door.

"come" he said and walked outside, his driver held an umbrella up for him, I followed him into his car and the driver began to drive, he asked for my address and I quickly gave it to him, it rained heavily, I didn't even glance at my boss, i just kept staring at the world outside through the window, we finally reached the street of my place and a massive sight welcomed me, there was a car crash and the police weren't allowing people to move down the street, oh fuck, I stepped out of the car to go and meet a police officer to persuade him to let me go, I spoke to the man but he didn't budge that the accident wasn't long ago and they needed to investigate the scene. As I turned back my boss's car was parked on front of me, the driver brought the window down.

" miss, the boss told me to tell you to stay a night over at his place" he said, I was shocked but of course I was going to say no, then I thought about it, it was getting late and these officers won't let me go, I braced myself and got into the car,we just sat down there not saying anything to each other, mia called.

" hello sis"

" hey mia"

" where are you?" she asked worriedly

"well an accident happened at our street so I'm gonna spend the night at my boss's place" I said and she squealed

" oh my God sis you didn't tell me you guys have reached this stage and using an accident to cover it up genius"

"what are you talking about?"

" oh please you know I'm 20 right do I understand the way these things work" I scoffed at her reply

"so what colour of lingerie are you wearing black or red"

"mia!!!" I screamed her name loudly I can't believe she's saying all these things, my boss turned to look at me curiosly.

"yeesh sis do you want to damage my ear"

"Goodnight "I told her with finality in my voice

" well we both know it's gonna be a long night for you" I hanged up the call where in the world did my sweet innocent younger sister go to, 5 minutes passed and I got another call from beth, I wonder what she's going to say.

"heyyyy"

"hi"

"so a little birdie told me that you are currently heading to your boss's place"

"I can't believe mia told you that "

"well she had to, I had to tell you what to do for your first night together"

"beth I am begging you not to say anything stupid or I'm gonna cut the call"

"what do you mean by stupid I'm advising you and your telling me it's stupid"

" well let me inform you there is nothing going on between me and my boss" I said a bit too loudly, my boss turned and smirked at me " beth I'll call you later" I hung up.

"sir it's not what you think" I said turning to face him

"what is it then"

"well it's...its"i closed my mouth shut and then thought what is it actually I just said there was nothing going on between the both of us and it is true, I turned back to how I was sitting and realised we where already at his house, I came down from the car and took a look at his house no sorry mansion, his place was huge, it looked dull and aristocratic but it was beautiful, we stepped inside the house together and trust me when I say the inside looked bigger than the outside, the whole house was white from the furniture to the walls, it was magnificent, a man came towards me, he looked elderly.

"Good evening miss I'm the butler of this house, let me show you to your room" he said , I turned to look at my boss, but he was netherworld anymore, I followed the man upstairs to a room, he stepped inside and I followed him into it.

" miss you are going to stay here for the night I hope the room is to your liking" he said with a smile and left, I looked at the room and it was to my liking, it was simple yet beautiful, I took off my wet clothes and got into the bathroom, I took a hot shower and came out from the bathroom, I realised I didn't have any clothes to put on, I saw a wardrobe in the room and took out a white shirt I saw, it was the only piece of cloth that I could wear, I quickly put it on. I sat down on the bed not knowing what to do, I felt a bit parched so I went downstairs to get a bottle of water, hopefully there was no one there, I walked down the stairs and walked towards the kitchen and opened the fridge to get a bottle, I turned around to leave but stopped in my tracks, I saw my boss standing in front of me shirtless, he was breathtaking, I couldn't stop my self from staring at his broad shoulders and his eight packed abs were were beautiful and droolworthy, his veiny arms were flexing, my throat was dry, I really needed the water, he smirked at my awed expression.

"Are you done eye raping me miss tessa" he said and I snapped back into reality.

"w-what" I said "I wasn't rap.. I mean eye raping you "I said shakingly

" that's too bad because I was definitely checking you out " he said and I gulped "especially since you are wearing my shirt" he said and I looked down at the shirt I was wearing so it was his, he started moving closer towards me and i felt my back hit the fridge, he placed his two hands by my sides and leaned closer to me, his warm breath tingling on my skin, he jerked the door of th fridge open and it sent me flying into his arms, he wrapped one if his hands around my waist and brought me face to face in front of him, I looked into his dark orbs that were drawing me closer towards him, he let go of me and I realised he had a bottle of water in his hand, he looked at me and walked ou of the kitchen, I realised how flushed I was and ran back into my room, how embarrassing, I thought about what happened all night even though it wasn't that much of a scene but ur still felt nice and that was the last thing I thought about before falling asleep.
