Let's talk for a second..

I need to get this cleared up, I get this its a fanfic, so we put ideas in our heads, about how we want the world to work and how it actually is. That being said I can understand some people's thoughts about the mc relationships.

The mc is with Rhaenys velaryon, yes you all know the one, and yes she is still married. She still tends to her husband's needs at times, but it is only because the mc knows you can not faint ignorance forever, she has kids, an established life before the mc even came into the picture.

The mc wanted to use pleasure to secure a powerful pawn, but ended up falling in love, unable to do several things, because of his reputation, and the fact Rhaenys is reluctant to break her family apart completely, the mc is working on a way for her to get out of the marriage without severe ridicule.

Does the mc like that he has to deal with Rhaenys being with Corlys, no, but he also has women he has messed with before in order to meet a goal. As well as him in the near future having a relationship that will anger Rhaenys, but to them its a means to and end, give and take.

People see it as damn that sucks but honestly how many fucked up relationships are in GOT/HOTD? Rhaenyra literally slept with both her protectors, then Daemon, fainting that people are blind, even Daemon defends them knowing there bastards.

Alicent literally fucked her friends father, and idc how many people say it's for her dad's raise, just no, Not to mention the whores, like literal prostitutes, do you think anyone in this world actually cares about other people fucking other people.

The mc is more of a passing fancy, he loves Rhaenys, like truly does but it's not like he will not have his share of women, even as Rhaenys stays loyal to him, when they finally can be openly together.

The mc is a man who does things to fit his needs, nothing more and nothing less, just like Daemon.
