Chapter 3

Darrel lead the crew through turns and creeks, when they come across a thick misted wood.

"I can't see 10 ft even with my glasses! I am NOT walking through that!" Ryan rebelled as Darrel approached the mist.

A fogged Owl flew toward Darrel and was barely visible until they exited the mist towards the group.

"Oh uh, a friend?" Ryan asked perplexed and annoyed by the situation.

"Acquaintances," he said petting the owl.

"These animals are wiser than the living, they act as guides to spirits to show them the way to their new home," They followed the owl through the woods and apon reaching the table, Darrel gives the owl an odd gem and the owl leaves.

When they had arrived at the councils table, Darrel took a knee and Sarah, along with her friends take a knee.

The Five Council members sit at the table joined by a stranger, In the middle sat Dimitri, On left side Damien and Soren and on the right Keira and Janice joined by an stranger wearing a deer skull.

"Please rise," Dimitri said indifferently.

"I have brought forth the Sightkeeper,who wished to ask a few, questions," Darrel spoke as he rose.

"I'm sure you have a few yourself and you may ask them," The deer masked stranger spoke with the permission of Dimitri.

"Yes, Who are you?" Darrel didn't falter to hide his confusion.

"I am Veglan Guardian of Animal spirits, surely you've heard of me?"

He has heard of him, Velgan the Wolf King, he has never seen him in person or asked Keira when he was mentioned.

"Is that all?" He asked.

Darrel nodded.

"Introduce yourselves, newcomers," Janice states dryly.

"I am Sarah, Sarah Lynx,"

"I meant the other humans, who are supposed to be alive," Janice glares at Darrel displeased.

"I am Kaiden Bjjire, A friend of Sarah's,"

"I'm Ryan Collins, also a friend,"

They tell them, unsure of where this was going.

"I see, Darrel, You are sentenced to"

"Hang on a minute!"

Everyone's eyes are on Sarah.

"Didn't you, the council send him to find me?" She asked.

"Yes,but not unexpedited extras!" Janice stood up.

"Janice, please," Dimitri calmed the council barely.

"Darrel, couldn't have accounted for them being there, therefore we can't sentence him, as well as it being his first mission," Dimitri explained.

"Do you have any other questions?" Dimitri asked calmly.

"What is a sightkeeper?" Sarah asked.

"A sightkeeper, can see and interact with the world of the supernatural, many come from a lineage where young are trained, however, you had no idea of your gift, so Darrel is to teach you," Dimitri explained.

"There was also told of a prophecy, a great calamity to occur.

During the Hollowed eclipse, in your world seen as the Charlie's Shower,"

"Wait,The Charlie's Meteor shower?" Kaiden asked.

The world morphed around them showing the prophecy in gruesome detail.

"Yes, the prophecy foretold a disaster of supernatural proportions, bloodthirsty creatures and spirits in a war, the spirits no chance of surviving.

But it also told of a party, an unlikely crew,

A Spectre ,An Silver-clad Warrior,A Summoner,And a Sightkeeper of light and dark,"

"I Believe, You are the keeper from the prophecy, and your friends, are these noble warriors,"

"You must return to your world and learn, for now, but if you must reach the council, use this," Dimitri lends Sarah a pouch of glowing leaves.

"Now, sleep..."
