Part7 (Unknown enemies)

Their scouts returned to report about their enemies, It's about fifty thousand low level, ten thousand of high levels monsters and demons, fifty high level officers each leads one platoon of mixed demons and monsters and they see the vice commander flying on the back of the army.

If numbers can win the war the humans got the upper hand for they got two hundred thousand soldiers and warriors in their disposal, but they know that they have the disadvantage because each in everyone of their enemies poses unique Divine Talent that rarely humans have.

Andrey and his group are on the left of the forest along with the other groups that assigned to ambush the enemies to lessen their numbers.

Andrey didn't use Jessy's true form because he knows that he will be a very good help in exterminating low level enemies.

In the tallest tree in the forest they have a scout that observing the distance of the enemies, as he see their army he began preparing to shoot an exploding arrow to the air to signal the attack whenever the enemies reach the designated ambush location.

As the scout wait for the right timing to fire the signal what he saw confused him and lower his bow.

The enemy army stops in the outskirts of the forest and began to form a defensive line. Only the scout on the tallest tree can see what is happening out side the forest and everybody in the ambush positions don't have any clue that their enemies are preparing for something.

In the defensive formation of their enemies, in their front line low rank demons and monsters are lined to serve as shields and guards making a slightly half moon shape, in their second line many high level demons charge their energy and seems preparing for massive spell and in their back many very large monsters started to move forward each carrying large boulders each hands.

The scout began to panicked and try to rush towards the head captain of the ambush team but as he almost arrive to report an arrow from his back peers and stopped him in moving forward, the scout falls down to the ground. Even though he have a deep wound he manage to stand again using a tree as a support but as he try to continue a man appeared in the shadow and slice his throat.

At the same time the ambush team still waits for the signal. Andrey began to suspect something is wrong, the loud march of their enemies starting to disappear and they didn't see the signal or report of the scout on the highest tree.

Jessy began to notice the deep thinking of Andrey so he ask "master is something bothering you?" Andrey respond with a serious face and a worry voice "something is wrong, the enemies should be in the target location by now" after Andrey's answer a multiple loud noise of explosion resonates in the area.

Andrey order all his troops to take cover to avoid the enemies attacks then he order Jessy to scout the location of the attacking enemies.

Jessy rush towards the origin of the attack and as he confirmed the location of the attacking enemies he head back to Andrey and report.

As soon as Andrey received his report he knows that their whole operation is compromised. He ask one of his man to head back to the main camp to tell General Raevien what happened.

The messenger that Andrey sent run as fast as he can to report but on his way a may in a black robe suddenly appeared and stabbed him.

Because of the overwhelming attack from the enemies Jessy suggested that Andrey use his Divine Talent, but because Andrey didn't know what Divine Talent to use he ask him to instruct him.

Jessy began instructing "master, gather all your energy to your hands and raise it to the air then imagine a large dome of wind surrounding the whole forest and say wind wall. It will deflect any long range attacks but only for a limited time."

Andrey follow his instructions and summon a large dome of wind covering the whole forest then he ordered Jessy to relay a retreat order to all the survivors.

Jessy relayed the order and all the survivors began to retreat.

Before the wind dome vanish all the survivors managed to get out of the forest and regroup.

The enemies continue their advance as they realize that the human army that set to ambush them had retreat.

The lookout from the camp saw their ambush team retreating so he rush to report to General Raevien. As soon as the General heard the report he slammed the table and rush outside to confront their retreating soldiers "who give you the order to retreat? And where is the head captain of the ambush team?".

No one could dare to answer the angry General's questions because they didn't now who gave the order to retreat they just follow because of the horror they experience in the forest.

Andrey walk forward and give respect to General Raevien then he answered his questions "General I am responsible for the retreat and the head captain is nowhere to be found, I think he died from the attack sir. "

The General grinned his teeth as he grabbed Andrey's collar. Jessy attempt to interfere but Andrey stop him and continue his report "sir our whole operation is been compromised, the enemies knows about the ambush so they used long range magic and large boulders to attack us and we didn't received any sign from our scout from the tallest tree, I assumed he has been killed and I sent a messenger to notify you sir about our situation but I think he is also killed on his way here. "

After hearing Andrey's report General Raevien let him go and face towards the soldiers in his back, his face became because of anger and furiously shout to them "who dare to betray our kingdom! Who ever you are when I catch you I will slice you to pieces and feed you to the monsters along with your whole family!"

Then a loud sound of bell resonates alerting the whole base. "The enemies are exiting the forest!" said the man on the tower.

Everyone start to form their formations outside the base wall General Raevien lead the army as they wait to the enemies forces.
