Part6 (The battle that decides the faith)

Andrey began to look straight to their ruined base, he wonders his eyes seeing the devastating appearance of it his tears began to fall. Broken walls and gate, burning barracks, bloody soil, and hundreds of lifeless bodies that's the devastating view he saw. "I couldn't save them" his tear is like a waterfall that falls down in his chick.

As he continue to mourning some of the wounded warriors started to stand, cover with blood, some have lost arm, some lost their leg, some had stabbed wounds, and some have open cut wounds but still managed to survive the slaughter.

When Andrey saw that some of his fellow warriors are is still alive he run towards them with joy. He held one of them who's lost a leg to help him. As Jessy (human name of Andrey's katana) approach him he order Jessy to help him "go help the wounded quickly, help me patch their wounds so they won't die of blood lost" Jessy reply to him politely "master I have a more efficient suggestion, why don't you just use your Divine Talent? It's much faster and we can be sure that everyone who still have a breath still live."

Andrey feel an overwhelming joy as he hear that he could heal his comrades so he put down the wounded warrior and ask Jessy for the instructions to perform the healing talent "teach me how, I want to heal them just like how my body heal it self" Jessy stare at him gently and apologize to him "sorry master no matter how powerful you are you cannot grow other man's lost body parts. You can heal their wounds like nothing happens but you cannot bring back lost limbs just like their lives, if their dead you can't bring them back to life."

Andrey put a force smile towards Jessy but he can see to his face that his not lying to him "it's ok, the most important thing is for them to live" then Jessy began to instruct Andrey on how to heal his comrades "lets start master, first you have to focus your energy to your hands, then raise them above your head, imagine the whole area that you target for the spell, then imagine a big clouds with raindrops falling from it and imagine what it feels when it touch your skin, and finally say the name of the spell healing rain."

Andrey follow Jessy's instructions thoroughly and when he feels his ready to cast he shout "HEALING RAIN" then a massive white cloud slowly take form above him and start raining shinning droplets in the whole area. After the droplets made contact to the wounded warriors their body glows and their pain starts to disappear. They began to stand and thank their god and Andrey for being alive.

After healing the survivors Andrey wondered to the base hoping to find their captain but sadly he saw only half of his body with a missing arm on the ground. Andrey ordered Jessy to the captains room hoping that somehow they could know where is the meeting place for the last stand of the humans.

Jessy obeyed his master's order and began to search the captains room and belongings then he find an interesting letter and a marked map. He reported back to Andrey and give what he found "master I found this on the captains room."

Andrey open the letter and read it carefully and he found out that it was an order to abandon the base and head to the intercepting point in everlasting forest. Everlasting forest is just a few miles north of the human kingdom Velfior.

The letter also indicate the time they are expected to arrive. They are expected to be reporting there before the sun rise tomorrow. When he finish reading the letter he look at the map and ask Jessy to round up all remaining warriors on the base.

It was almost dawn when the battle ends so they only got a little time to prepare and march towards the battlegrounds.

As everyone gathers in an open area in their ruined base Andrey stood in the middle and start discussing the content of the letter then he urge everyone to follow his lead "our captain is dead and we have an order to carry we need to go now to defend our kingdom!".

The opinions of the warriors are mixed some want to follow but many of them want to run away then one of the warrior step forward and point his finger to Andrey "who are you to order us? Obviously it's a suicide mission so it's like ordering us die! All of us almost die here even though they have only few high leveled monsters and demons, what more in that battle I'm sure all of their high ranking monsters and demons will be there! We could never stand a chance!"

Listening to the warrior's word the other warriors started to agree to his statement and irritates Jessy so much "disrespecting fools how their you question my masters words?" as Jessy start walking towards the warrior Andrey stopped him and calm them "there's no need for violence to this meeting, everyone think about this tomorrows battle will determine the faith of the human raise, if we run now and hide just because of our fear of death what will happen to our families? If tomorrow we lost all the remaining humans will be hunted like animals, some will end up toys for the demons while some will be serve as snacks for the monsters. No matter how we look at it everyone will still die when our side lost tomorrow."

Everyone start talking to each other asking what is the better way to do. Then a loud voice resonates from the crowd from a warrior that lost his right arm "I will fight! Maybe I lost one of my arm but I still have one so I can still fight!"

Amazed by his courage everyone decided to fight and chant "FOR HUMANITIES SURVIVAL!". As Andrey see that everyone is now determined to fight against the demons and monsters he start organizing and instructing their remaining forces "all who have lost a leg must be supported by those who lost an arm but makes sure that those who lost their legs have an individual sticks to support them so their partners don't drain there strength fast. Those who doesn't lost any parts and those who lost only an arm that has no partner help us to gather the remaining supplies and weapons and in preparing the carriage."

Everyone work together as a team and laugh like their not going to another war. As they finished their preparations Andrey signals everyone to march towards their destination. The warriors that lost a leg are supported by a stick a warrior that lost an arm and the warriors who lost both their legs is in a carriage so they can bring them. The remaining warriors who lost their arm march along with them to defend them if the enemies attack them. And the warriors who doesn't suffer and lost in their body march in the back and in front to secure and defend their comrades that cannot fight.

As their journey continues they encountered several low level monsters but Andrey and Jessy slay them easily. Little by little the other warriors began to realize how powerful Andrey is and their confidence in his leadership started to grow.

As they see the main camp of their army Andrey ordered all who have lost legs to travel back to the kingdom and those who lost an arm will accompany them to ensure there safe journey. Even though they opposed to his order everyone respects and obey it for they know if they insist to join the battle they might end up a liability to their comrades.

They happily depart from Andrey's group, waiving and cheering their fellow warriors that will fight for their raise.

Andrey and his group arrived safely in the main camp and quickly approached by an officer asking for their captain, Andrey answers him politely and explain what happened to them "Our captain was killed when the enemies attacked our base, many have died and some are heavily injured. In our journey here we part ways with those who cannot fight anymore and send them back to the kingdom."

Hearing his report the officer ordered Andrey to report to their commander, General Raevien a well known warrior and strongest in the kingdom of Velfior.

Andrey hurriedly go to General Raevien with Jessy and report to him about the destruction of their base and the death of their captain.

After hearing his report General Raevien formally appoint Andrey as their squads captain and order him to dispatch immediately to their designated location.

It was only few hours before the sun rise therefore Andrey hurried and go back to his men. After relaying the orders that was given to them they start marching towards their post.

As they reach their destination, everyone goes to position to prepare the arrival of their enemies.

Everyone is nervous and sweating as they hear the marching of the enemies slowly getting closer.
