Chapter 34: The Maze

Arc: The Magic Championship.

*Note: It is better to play the music later in the next scene 

At the main military base , a soldier came running to meet the Major Lloyd ,in the corridor.

Lieutenant Colonel Lucas :" This world becomes dangerous everyday ."

Lloyd :"For this the military has to form a secrecy squad to find some kind of book."

Lucas :"At least we are starting from something ."

The solider:" Major Lloyd , we have an emergency , Corporal Seth is accused for planting bombs at the magic Championship ."

At the stadium before the last stage starts .

Owen sitting with his teammates , talking to himself:" I felt a strange glory from that girl from the land stage , It wasn't an illusion , her hand really turned to water !"

"Excuse me , is Owen here?" says a man .

Owen:" Yes, how can I help you?"

The man: "Please help me , I came to you because you knew Seth for a long time ... he told me to keep bombs inside the flying lockers and then accuse you for doing that ."

Owen:" What you think you are doing ?!"

The man:" Please forgive me , I tried to stop him ."

Owen grabs the man's neck :" Then Stop it now , STOP THAT DAMN BOMB! "

Jason as he walks by them:" A...a bomb!"

Seth, comes suddenly:" You... You traitor ."

Owen:" Seth you little , what do you want from me ."

Seth:" No no no , it's Corporal Seth and besides , there is nothing personal , I myself taking orders ."

Owen: "Listen you're going to deactivate the explosion process, or else ."

Seth with a vile smile: "Or what , you are not in a position where you can threat me , There will be a wonderful fireworks coloring the sky , so be grateful , once the time is over it will explode , it would be better if the racers reach to the finish line sooner , they gonna unlock the cage , and die with their teammates together. "

Jason heads away to him and punch Seth in the face :"Fireworks you say!.... does people's death to you is a firework?"

Zeke comes behind Jason and holds his shoulder:" Don't be reckless Jason , people are watching."

Seth as he wipes up the blood from his face:" Jason Roy! , what a coincident ."

Jason , Owen and Zeke were standing in shock with no words . 

Seth: " Shell I tell you how I knew your full name, or should I reveal your and Owen's identity ?"

" You better stop if you care about your life ." said a man behind Seth .

Jason: "Master Valko!"

Master:" Enough trouble , you get to the control section , and tell the host to stop the game ."

The man:" Yes ."

Master with a scary eyes, staring at Seth :" You come with me ."

The man arrived at the control system room , where the hosts suspend the game .

Host 1:"That's impossible , the maze is activated automatically and it will not stop until the players are out or if the cages falls down ."

Host 2:"No one can enter to it ,as well the strong field barrier around the maze  ."

At the  terraces the 10 teams stand terrified by the  news  , soldiers calm the teams and discuss a solution to the problem.

Farsto ,speaking by the Licrima : "Did you hear that ?"

Christine :"A bomb !"

Nichole:" Farsto, we must find a way out now ."

Farsto, looking at the map:" I am trying , go right .... continue forward .... right , wait ! , the maze has changed ."

The directions and paths change in the map as the walls move to form a new way out, making it difficult for the fliers to exit from the maze . 

Christine :"This makes me feel dizzy , the walls keep on moving ."

Greed:" Do something , banana peal ."

Farsto:" Head back Christine ... take left ... what ! again?! "

Ayami:" Impossible !! "

Tom:" Who created this game ?"

Christine:" Should I go forward?"

Farsto:" No, it's blocked ."

Ayami:" Less than 50 mints ."

As the members were looking for the correct distention out of the maze, the Master with the three boys were outside  the stadium .

Owen with a spiteful eye:" So what is the purpose of this ?"

Seth was tied with ropes :" I told you , I was following orders ."

Jason:" It .. it can't be from the military ."

Seth:" Don't even try to force me , I don't know who he or she is , I haven't seen the person once , I get orders , I obey them ,then I get paid ."

" What a waste of time , Corporeal Seth ." Says Sign , coming to them with three other soldiers .

Seth:" Hi Sign , guess what those are ...."

Sign:" Respect my rank as I did respect yours's for now , traitor .. seize him ." 

Seth:" No wait .. It's them , trust me ."

Sign punches him ,which made him unconscious  and left without a single word .

Tom joins in :" There you are Master ."

Jason:" Tom! ... talk slowly don't cause more attention ."

Tom:" Things are getting worse , no one got out of the maze until  now ."

They all return back to the team quickly in panic , wondering how would they pass this trouble .Soldiers fly with their sleds over the maze, throwing spells and magic powers onto the insulation, but to no avail.

Owen talks to his team :" How is he doing ?"

One of Owen's teammates:" It's bad , the maze is changing every time we find a way out ."

Greed:" Where were you two , help us out idiots ."

Zeke:" Sorry, we faced some trouble ."

Master Valko as he sits beside Farsto , holds his shoulder :" Alright boy , get her out of there ."

Farsto:" Of course I will ... head back again Christine , then take right .... Oy , are you listening ? "

Christine with a deadlock expression , looking at the sky :" Stop yelling ! " 

I was looking to the sky while flying on that sled , I didn't hear Farsto instructions at all , I.... I must save her , please .... please lend me your power ... the power to save her , they ... they are counting on me .

Then she continues :" There is a barrier surrounds the maze right? "

Farsto:" Yeah , about 100 meters far from you ."

Christine with her invoice :" Okay, I've less than 15 mints , I can do it ."

 The other teams with few  soldiers were still searching for a way out while other soldiers were   evacuating the stadium .

"What's going on ?! "

" Is the race over ?"

" Mom I wanna candy ."

" We will get out from the stadium first ."

Christine was trapped in a one way out ahead of her , she flies to her right side wall , creates  a small hole on the wall  by melting it using her magic , then she went to the left wall and did the same . 

Christine , staring underneath her :" There are no walls down ,  since the maze is surrounded by an insulator at its bottom and its sky as well, if I can just reach the lowest bottom I'll be able to face the sky."

As she ends her words , she releases the two black ropes from her air sled to the holes , she pulled her two Tanto and began to ignite them with flames .  

Christine:" They are counting on us Arsh ."

Arsh:" You'll do well ."

Christine went way far back to the bottom of the maze , the ropes were tightly attached with the holes on her right and left walls .   As the light of the red flames bright more , she throws the Tanto up high as a rocket of fire . The Tanto speeds towards the top while Christine pulled herself even further as she can . With a super speed , she flies on her sled following the thrown Tanto . The barrier breaks as glass and Christine went through the flames and the  opening she made , heading outside the maze . 

All screams happily :" YEAHHHHH! "

Master:" Sure, she's reckless ."

Host 1:" The barrier !... go to the opening and free your teammates now ."

All the other teams flew out to the cages , getting their teams out of the cage using their magic .

Christine:" Get back , Marissa ."

Marissa:" You are late ."

Christine while holding the bars and started melting it a little , used her Tanto and cuts the bars , took Marissa and fly away from the explosion .

Things calm down and the 16 teams were out , they stood in line , ending the championship at the green yard . 

Nichole:" That was so reckless , the thing that you did ."

Christine:" I saved Marissa , that's important ."

Ayami:" You must take care of yourself ."

Lasto:" Yes, although everyone survived the blast, a number of players suffered from some mild burns. " 

" Excuse me , thank you for the prize ." Says a girl from Owen's team .

Jason:" No, it was nothing ."

Zeke:" What prize ?!"

Master :" Didn't guys hear ?! ... We won the championship ."

Jason :" I give up on the prize , so those people can repair their village , it was a lot of money so ."

Farsto yells :" You idiot ...how could you do such a thing ."

Greed:" You should've asked us first ."

Tom:" You fool !"

Jason: "Ha! , I thought you would understand ."

Zeke:" Understand what ?"

Owen, approaches to the girls :" Hey you two , you look pretty with that necklace ." 

Ayami:" Getaway  ."

Lasto:" You perv ."

Jason:" You're joining us ?"

Owen:" I was wondering what kind of magic I felt when confronting your team. "

Master :" You're coming then ?"

Owen:" To restore the lands and eliminate the Redeyes with those girls , why not ."

He said as he shows his orange colored tattoo that is on his palm of his hand , which is the word flexibility   in Japanese 柔軟  (Jūnan ).

Lasto while floating on her ball , showing her pink tattoo , the word  float 浮く(Uku) in Japanese :"Lasto too , Lasto too ."

Farsto:" Lasto is stubborn , so I'm going because she's going ."

The team all stared at him , as they were waiting for him to show his tattoo . 

Farsto:" What ?!"

Marissa:" Where is yours ?"

Farsto blushes :" It..it is .."

Lasto:" Farsto's tattoo is on his scalp ."

Farsto:" L...Lasto !"

Ayami , comes closer:" I wanna see ."

Nichole:" Me too .. the smell of strawberries !"

Christine:" So soft hair ."

Farsto screams  :" S....STOP!"

Owen frustrated:" How lucky , all the girls rush around him like that ."

Jason, Zeke, Tom and Greed with themselves :" Oh, he's that kind of guy ."
