Chapter 30 : Hard Climbing

Arc: The Magic Championship

24 hours of turning and practicing for the games , I don't like to participate in any physical activities , but the Master forced me too, Christine , you have certainly changed . 

The time has arrived for the magic championship opening . All the citizens gathered from all around the kingdom to participate or to cheer for their teams . The 16 teams were standing on their lines in the stadium , listing to the championship sponsor.  As each line was differentiated by a certain color .  The legendary team was on the 15th line , Farsto was taking the lead on his orange team  , holding a big  orange flag  . 

From the terraces , the sponsor comes forwards and delivers his speech : " The goal of this 48 championship is to share the knowledge  and strengthening the kingdom's  relationship with all citizens , so maintain the sprit of the competition, accept defeat and let the best team wins . " 

The audience screams out loud , exciting for the event , colorful  balloons flying in the sky , the magic Licrimas floating in the air to  broadcast the games to the whole  kingdom . 

Tom whispers to Jason : " This atmosphere  reminds me of a basketball game . " 

Jason: " It is swimming race for me . " 

Zeke: " What are you reading ?" 

Farsto : " I'm reading the instructions and the rules of each game . "

Greed : "  You don't know the rules ?! " 

Farsto :" Do you?! " 

Greed annoyed : " Listen bossy boy , when I win this , I'm gonna keep your mouth shut forever . "

Farsto:" The games changes each year , so the rules will too . "

Ayami: " That's why ."

Jason: " Could you stop floating with your ball, you're raising suspicion. "

Lasto, innocently :" It's fun ." 

Farsto looks back  to his team : " Soldiers are deployed over the kingdom , thanks to what you did at the temple , we must pretend that we need time to release our magic , and for you two ... It is easy to notify that you don't have any magic force. "

Nichole :" We will be careful . "

Marissa , looking at Christine ,who was holding her stomach and shacking her legs :" What happen to your beauty face ?"

Christine , as her face turns green :" I shouldn't have drank 5 cups of Echinacea herb ."

Christine runs away quickly , far from the team , as they looking at her worried. When suddenly the host of the champion spokes from the speaker . 

Host 1 :" Greeting to all teams , the first game will start in few minutes , please move to your places ."

The crowd is now concentrated in the steep mountains, which can be seen from many miles away to start the first competition. So that the competition will be held in one of those mountains, and the other mountains were sites for the audience and the cheerleaders . 

Farsto explains the game to Zeke , has they are heading to the starting line :" You just need to climb as fast as you can to reach the peak ." 

Zeke:" Alright , I understand ." 

Greed , who was sitting on the terraces with the rest of the team: " The soldiers are still spreading ."

Master Valko:" It's their job, to ensure safety ."

The game host 1:" The hard climbing game , is a new game add in this year ."

The game host 2:" That's right, using any type of magic , except flying ."

The game host 1:" The selected member has to climb using the colored stones which are skied on the mountain , to get points , as one stone counts one point , but remember there is a time limit to earn points . " 

Game host 2:" Whoever gains less than 4 points , will not be able to participate in three games in a row . The member must climb to reach the top and again be careful down the mountain are poisonous plants ."

Game host 1 :" The member who falls on them  , the team would not be participating in 4 games in a row. "

Tom:" That's unfair ."

Farsto, sits beside Lasto :" These are the rules . " 

 Zeke was standing at the top of the mountain with the other players , he peeks to measure the mountain's  height . When Jason screams to him .

Jason:" HEY ZEKE!.... DON'T YOU DARE LOSE , GIVE IT ALL UP MY FRIEND . " 

Marissa:" Zeke, show us what you can do ." 

Zeke stares at his friends , looked back in front and says to himself :"Good heavens! , you are embarrassing me ." 

The members are all start up , ready to begin climbing as the host announced :" On your marks , get set ... GO!  " 

The starting bullet has launched when a hole has opened below the competitors . Zeke found himself falling inside a dark and a rocky place .

Zeke , as he falls:" Where am I?... inside the mountain ?!.. do I have to claim from inside ?, no wait ."

He looked below him :" There are no plants below me , then..."

Ayami:" Zeke had not gotten out yet."

Jason:" He will get out ."

Zeke  releases a tendon from his roller , sending it towards a rock ,then he swings to open his way by pushing his legs through a wood which was attached inside the mountain and he managed to get out .

Nichole : " There he is . "

All calls out loud :" GO ON ZEKE !" 

Farsto, stands :" Nichole , Greed and Lasto , our game will start soon , Jason ,take care of things here. " 

Jason:" Yeah , sure."

Zeke talks to himself while claiming :" Am I in last place , no I must focus  on earning points ."

As he continues his words he spotted a colored stone , he looked around and saw three competitors were falling . Zeke sends off a tendon to the colored stone , but the stone turn to dust , Zeke started to fall down between the two mountains  , he sent another tendon to a rock and swings to it and leans on the mountain .

Zeke:" Those colored stones , are fumble ." 

Jason, looking at the Licrima :"What happened?"

Master Valko:" They are stones which sense magic aura , whenever it senses it , the stone turns to dust , it can't bear magic ."

Tom:" Then , how can we earn points?"

Zeke , monitoring the stones around :" I must get points now , there are limited colored stones, what worse the other teams seeking to earn as much as points they can get to prevent other teams from earning points,  and the game will end soon."

String, Zeke's roller :" There is a way, use a thick web by your magic  to reach the peak and while you are pulling yourself , get some points , others concentrate on gaining points that are below the mountain , sure there are more points above . "

Zeke:" That shell does it ."

Zeke launched a web from the roller towards and tied  a big strong rock that was on the top of the mountain , he released another web in order to take a stone . He pulls himself to reach the peak with the speed of his roller while throwing the normal stone to the colored stone and gain points . 

Zeke as he flying with his web , getting the last point :"One more ."

He sends his web to a rock , ties it , pulls it with his roller and hits the colored stone which was on ahead of him and earns the last point . Zeke sits on the mountain's peak as the bullet was shut to announce the end of the game . Zeke went to his friend at the terraces where Jason and the rest were waiting for him . 

Jason: "Third place with that hard climbing , is quite good. "

Zeke:" Thanks you guys ."
