16 - Detention, Exams & End of Year

Hogwarts:

Theoden Pov:

Harry, Ron, Hermione and I made our way to Filch's office to get our detention done. After we arrived we found a happy Filch with his cat Mrs Norris.

We had to wait for the blonde moron to arrive before we could leave, it took him an hour to get here. And then he still had the nerve to be arrogant little dragon shit.

We left under Draco's constant complaint to Hagrid's Hut. When we arrived we found a happy Hagrid playing with the baby 'dragon'. He got to keep it because it was put down as my pet and not a illegal pet.

She had grown up quite fast, double her size. she didn't burn anything down thankfully, I had given Hagrid a taming manual for his 'dragon'.

We walked up to Hagrid who was grabbing his crossbow and bolts. He smiled at us before talking.

Hagrid: "There we are, come on let's get going we have important mission today. We'll be trying to find any injured unicorn and help it, fond a dead one last week something is hunting them so we have to stop it"

We made our way into the forbidden forest, after some time Hagrid stopped before speaking. "Now to get more ground we are going to split up Hermione and Ron are with me. we are looking for a injured unicorn try to follow the blood we'll go this way you that way"

Draco: "Then I get fang!" He said in a panicked voice as through his life depended on it.

Hagrid: "fine, just to let you know he's a bloody coward" Fang grounds with displeasure at being call a coward

Draco looked defeated at the massive dog, Harry and I started to leave without him. Draco hurried after us and started his whole thing about 'My Father will hear about this', I mean dude no one cares about your entitlement.

As we walked through the forest Draco Malfoy continued to complain, I was just about to tell him to shut up. When we heard a noise in front of us.

I looked over to find a shadow over a white dying horse. I froze I could feel a very similar evil but I could not place where I had felt it before.

Harry noticed that I stopped and looked over to where I was looking he paused for a second before clutching his forehead. Draco finally shut up before screaming and running away with Fang.

Because of Draco's screaming the shadow noticed us and stopped feeding of the unicorn. It looked up at us till stoping on Harry, it started to float over to us.

Harry and I backed up getting ready to run, till Harry tripped on a root. I stopped and pulled a Daggers out and got into a stance, at the same time i prepared my mana to fight.

I started off by using a shield of light in front of Harry and I. The shadow stopped when I pulled out my Daggers and the golden shield.

It started to hover back towards us again, when it reached the shield it stopped before touching it. Immediately I felt a massive dark and evil mana push on the shield, but I could feel the effect on its mana even if small.

The shield started to crack and shatter, I knew right here and now that although this thing was weak right now it is so evil and corrupted that just the mana it gives off is enough to counter my mana.

If I was stronger than it would not even be able to come in contact with my mana and not be destroyed. I knew right then that I was weak.

Although it was getting closer I did not feel fear or terror for I am a member of light, I am the Prince of the Elven race and I will face all evil and terror without fear or anguish.

I stood my ground ready to strike I casted a spell on my Daggers giving them a powerful Holy attribute to combat evil.

The shield broke and I could feel the unrestrained evil radiating off of it as though it was a waterfall of darkness.

Just as I was about to strike it, a horse galloping sound came, it got louder tilt a massive centaur jumped over from behind Harry it came to a stop in front of the shadow and attacked.

The shadow flew away from the centaur, the centaur made sure it had left before turning to us. The centaur walked to Harry while talking.

??????: "Harry Potter, you must leave. You are known to many creatures here. The forest is not safe at this time, especially for you."

Harry got up then asked the centaur. "What was that thing you saved us from?"

?????: "A monstrous creature, it is a terrible crime to slay a unicorn. Drinking it's blood will keep you alive even if you are an inch from death. But at a terrible price, for you have slain something so pure... that from the moment the blood touches your lips, you will have a half-life. A cursed life"

Harry: "Who would choose such a life?

?????: "Can you think of no one?" the centaur looked down at Harry.

Harry: "Do you mean to say that... that thing that killed the unicorn that was drinking it's blood, that was Voldemort?"

?????: "Do you know what is hidden in the school at this very moment?" Harry had a shocked expression and replied with "The philosopher's Stone"

I walked over to the unicorn on the ground it was barely breathing, I kneeled down next to it before using healing magic.

It did not have much effect on the poor thing, I was left with no choice I willed for Yggdradill to give me some sap.

A tiny drop of sap appeared above my hand, I dropped it onto the unicorn's wound. After a few seconds the wound started to heal, the unicorn got up and nudge me with its head in gratitude.

Hagrid, Hermione and Ron showed up right before I could ask any questions to the centaur.

Hagrid: "Hello there, Firenze. See you've met our young Mr. Potter and Mírë. you all right there you two?" Harry just nodded while I'm still distracted by the unicorn.

Firenze: "Harry Potter and young Elf, this is where I leave you. you're safe now, good luck" he left after finishing, the unicorn followed suit after giving me some hair.

We all went back to the castle to go back to sleep.

The next day I found out that Harry, Ron and Hermione talked about what happened in the forest.

They came to the conclusion that it was Snape, which I fond almost impossible considering that Snape although cold he was still nice in his own way.

All I could think about was where did I feel that evil aura from... I didn't think too much about it because exams were in a couple of days but it stayed at the back of my mind forever bugging me.

I started to study for my exams with the others, we were in the Galad library sitting in the study area together.

I had my notes on the table and was speaking with Alexander in Elven, Harry was trying to keep up with Hermione while Ron was drooling trying to finish his homework and study.

Ron: "Theo let me borrow your notes and homework I can't for the life of me do this anymore!" he looked exhausted and fed up at the amount of work he had to do

Theo: "That's you're own fault, you didn't do all of your homework but let it all pile up to last minute. Now we have Exams tomorrow and you haven't even do your homework. It's you're own fault.

Just look at Harry he's on top of it and Hermione started her revision months before the exam. You could actually try to pay attention in class" I said passing some notes to him

Hermione blushed when I mentioned and complimenting her. Alexander just rolled his eyes at Ron.

We continued to study and I helped Ron and Harry with any homework, I also help Hermione if she had any questions about anything.

After the others had left, I was the only one left in the library cleaning up and packing my books and notes. I noticed a weird book in the corner of my eye.

The Book looked brand new just like almost all the books in the library, but this book gave me a strange feeling I could feel the mana push me towards the book.

I grabbed it and flipped though it, I found out that the book contains information about a very special ritual. It was very risky if not done right but as I flipped though I found out that there was two ways to do the ritual.

The first one was for humans and contained a lot of risks if not done right, it was incompetent and watered down. The full version was for Elves, which completely stunned me as I had never heard of it before and there was no example in my memories.

I asked mother and got the answer that she had never heard of it before, I read more into it and found the history behind the creation.

It was made by an Elf but was watered down for Human use, the watered down version was dangerous if done wrong but the complete was safe if the steps were followed.

The human version was complicated and took a long time to complete, the full version took around the same time but did not have as many conditions.

The Ritual gave the user the ability to transform into.....

We had just finished our exams, Ron had his tire undone he was happy to finally finish all his exams.

Harry relaxed after finishing his exams he was happy to get it all done and happy with his answers.

Hermione was still in exam mode, she was still muttering answers and questions even now. I did not mind it but kind of enjoyed it as it showed another side of her self.

Alexander was calm and collected because to my knowledge just like myself he is confident that he had aced his exams. For me it was easy as well I remember everything from the class and textbooks. The only hard test was Defense against the Dark Arts.

As we made our way out of the castle to visit Hagrid and his 'dragon' when Harry held his scar. Hermione asked if he was ok.

Harry: "It's hurting again I think it's warning of danger" He said with worry before continuing

Harry: "It all makes sense now, why didn't I see it earlier. Hagrid just so happens to get a dragon egg from a stranger who just so happens to have one. Hagrid has always wanted a dragon. It all makes sense now, come on" he then hurried to Hagrid's Hut.

After we got there we found Hagrid playing the flute, Harry ran over to Hagrid and asked about the person he got the 'dragon' egg from.

We found out that Hagrid got it from a man wearing a cloak with his face hidden. Hagrid also told him about how to calm Fluffy, which I thought was interesting, you calm a giant three headed dog with music... uh.

We hurried to see Professor McGonagall Harry and Ron thought it was Professor Snape and told Professor McGonagall that.

I just intervened before they could get out of hand and told the Professor about the evil feeling that I felt from Professor Quirrell and how it was almost the same as the one from the person in the cloak/shadow that attacked the unicorns in the forbidden forest.

She looked at me with shock just like the other three, she than said that the Headmaster was away from Hogwarts because of a letter from the Ministry.

We left after being told the stone was safe and that she and the Headmaster would look into Professor Quirrell as they took my word very seriously as most Elves are sensitive to mana.

Harry thought that we should all go to the trap door tonight to help protect the stone, I didn't think it was a good idea but I would go to make sure the rest were safe, plus I'm the only one who knew how to fight.

I waited at the door to Fluffy waiting for the other three, I was leaning on the wall with a Dagger in my hand I was spinning it around my hand.

I had my sword strapped on my waist I brought it just in case after all I had no idea what I would face in there. I soon sensed multiple gazes on me.

I looked over to see nothing till the three appeared in front of me, Mia who was sitting on my head sat up and looked at them with interest.

I could see Hermione's face light up at the sight of Mia, she walked up to me and held out her hands wanting Mia to jump into her hands.

Mia looked down at me, I gave my approval. Mia jumped into Hermione's hands who immediately hugged Mia. I then spoke to the three of them.

Theo: "Now you will follow me and not matter what you will not scream or panic (I looked at Ron) especially you, no panic or not following instructions. Now stay behind me" They nodded especially after seeing my sword a the Dagger I put away before opening the door.

Inside there a giant three headed dog Fluffy sleeping, next to Fluffy was a large golden harp playing a tune. We went up to the trapdoor and I pushed the giant paw off the trapdoor. I noticed that the music was coming to an end and immediately started to sing a lullaby.

Fluffy stopped waking up and fell back asleep Hermione had a shocked expression, she didn't know I could sing.

Harry looked at me with surprise, while Ron just looked fearfully at Fluffy. Harry opened the trapdoor and hurried Ron and Hermione in.

He soon followed them, as soon as they went through I stopped singing, Fluffy immediately started to wake up. I jumped through the trapdoor before Fluffy noticed me.

I fell for a couple of seconds till I landed on what appeared to be a devil's snare, I could see Ron panicking and hear Hermione and Harry yelling at Ron to calm down.

I whispered to the vine "Can you please let me and my friend go, I would very much appreciate it" as soon as I asked the devil's snare let both Ron and myself fall through.

I landed on my feat where Ron landed on his butt, Harry helped Ron to his feat and we continued to the next room.

On our way I could hear the sound of wings flapping in the air, in the room was a broomstick and hundreds of keys with wings flying in the air.

Hermione walked over to the door on the other side and tried a unlocking spell, but it did not work. I watched the flying keys trying to find anything out of place.

And there was a old big key with a broken wing barely even flying, I pointed it out to the others.

We came to the conversation that you must use to broom to get the key, Harry volunteered to get the key.

As soon as he put his hand on the broom all the keys started to fly after him with the broken key trying to fly away. Harry managed to catch up to it before grabbing it.

Harry threw the key to me, after opening the door I yelled at him to fly through. I closed the door right after Harry, you could hear the keys hitting the door on the other side.

The next room was a giant chess set, Ron tried to walk past but the chess set came alive and blocked his path. We had to play and win to continue but there was a problem there was three missing chess pieces for our side.

A queen, a castle and a Rook. Hermione took the Rook, Harry the castle and finally me the Queen. Ron got on a knight-less horse, I and Ron would be working together to win the game.

Ron had to sacrifice himself to win the game, before he did I casted a protection spell on him, Hermione nearly ran over to Ron luckily Harry stopped her.

Harry moved forwards and checkmated their king, I ran over to Ron and checked him. He was fine just unconscious from the hit but other than that he had no damage or injury.

We could not take him with us so we had to leave him behind, the next room had a fully grown mountain Troll but this one was different to the last, this one had enchanted armor and a large Mace instead of a club.

I had to fight it and it would not be a quick fight, so I told Hermione and Harry to keep going without me.

I ran at the Toll while drawing my sword, it attacked me with a swipe of it's mace. I jumped up on the mace and cut along it's arm in-between the armor.

The Troll yelled in pain before slapping at me with it's other hand, I stabbed into the giant hand using it's own force to stab in deeper I then cut up slicing it's hand in half.

While it was distracted I used a fire ball spell and shot it into it's face, the spell exploded damaging it's eyes.

Allowing me to climb up it at to it's throat where I sliced it's head clean off, after landing on the ground I watched as the Troll fell to the ground before running into the next room.

There I found Hermione waiting with an anxious expression on her face. she told me that we could not go to the next room, how there was only enough potion for one.

I knew immediately who that one was Harry. We waited for Harry to come out before long Headmaster Dumbledore walk in with a letter in his hand and a bird of flames on his shoulder.

Dumbledore: "Now I would like to thank you young Theoden for the letter, your little one her has been quite wonderful company but I think she should go back to her owner" he said with a smile. Starlight flew up and landed on my shoulder looking for approval from me.

Hermione: "Headmaster Harry he's in there we have to help..." before she could finish Dumbledore interrupted her.

Dumbledore: "You don't have to worry miss Granger I am well aware of the situation and of what has happened. Now if you excuse me I have to go in there to help the young Harry" he walked through the green fire as though it was but a light show.

Professor McGonagall came in soon and took us back to our dorms for the night, Ron went to the school's infirmary to get a check up. Later I found out that Harry was also unconscious and was sent to the infirmary.

I went back to my room where I polished and cleaned my sword, before setting Mia and Starlight to bed. I didn't have to worry about Tanwen as he like always is asleep on his horde.

Hermione, Ron and I waited for Harry outside of the Great Hall, When he arrived we could not help but ask about what happened in that room.

Flashback 3rd:

Harry entered the last room with haste expecting to fin Professor Snape, however instead he found Quirrell standing in front of the mirror of erised. Harry was shocked and thought inwardly.

'Theo was right it wasn't Professor Snape but Quirrell, he was right all along!'

Harry: "you Theo was right it was you and not Snape!" harry had a shocked expression with disbelief apparent in his voice.

Quirrell: "yes he does seem the type, doesn't he? but I would never have guessed that the elf knew, but I does explain why avoids me and that stupid gift me got me"

Quirrell reviled that he was the one who let the Troll out on Halloween, and that Snape went and cut him off.

Quirrell: "Now what does this mirror do? I see what I desire, I see myself holding the stone. But how do I get it?!?" he said with frustration

?????: "Use the boy!" I mysterious voice record for the room.

Quirrell: "Come here, Potter now!" Harry walked forward to the front of the mirror.

"Tell me, what do you see?"

Harry saw himself pulling out the stone from his pocket before holding it up and winking, he than put it back into the pocket.

Harry felt his pocket and realised much to his shock that the stone was there.

"Tell me what do you see!!!" Quirrell screamed at Harry, Harry replied lying

" I'm shaking hands with Dumbledore, I've won the house cup."

????: "He lies!!" the same weird voice echoed around the room.

Quirrell: "Tell me the truth! what do you see!?!"

???: "let me speak to him"

Quirrell: "Master, you are not strong enough"

????: "I have strength enough for this"

Quirrell unwrapped the turban on his head to reveal a second face on the back of his head. It was evil unnatural and hideous for gods sake it had no nose!!

Harry: "Voldemort!"

Voldemort: "Yes, look at what I have become"

The hideous face went on a rant about power and giving Harry his parents back if he gave him the stone, Harry refused and called him a lier

Voldemort told Quirrell to attack Harry and kill him, only for Quirrell to start turning to dust upon contact with Harry.

Harry realising this put his hands on quirrell's face only for Quirrell to turn into dust. Harry thought it was over only for a weird Voldemort phantom to fly at him knocking Harry unconscious before flying away.

Flashback End:

Theoden Pov:

Harry: "So prettymuch as what happened later I woke up in the hospital and talk to headmaster about why they were turned to dust, as for the stone it was destroyed to prevent Voldemort from using it"

Theo: "I told you Snape although mean is good, ha you guys should listen to me more"

We made our way into the Great Hall for dinner, the Hall was decorated in silver and green. The Slytherin house had the most points at 472 points, the rest of the house were.

Gryffindor last place at 312 points, fourth place Hufflepuff with 352 points. Galad house third with 423 points, Ravenclaw second place with 426 points

Alexander and I got so close to getting second if it wasn't for the detention we would have gotten it, we had worked hard to try and score each points even in Snape's class but unfortunately we didn't get it.

As we finished eating and ready for dessert, Professor McGonagall tapped her glass with a spoon to get everyones attention before the Headmaster spoke.

Dumbledore: "Another year gone.... and now as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding And the points thus:

In 5th place Gryffindor with 312 points, fourth place Hufflepuff with 352 points. In third place Galad house with 423 points, in second place Ravenclaw with 426 points. And in first place.... with 472 points Slytherin house."

The Slytherin table burst fourth with cheers and celebration. Dumbledore raised his hand causing the hall to silence.

Dumbledore: "Yes, yes, Well done, Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account.

And I have a few last-minute points to award.... To Mr. Theoden Mírë for his bravery and amazing combat ability, being able to take down a fully grown and armed Troll by himself. I award.... 50 points!"

The hall broke into applause and celebration, Alexander and I had done it we went from third to first in 50 points! before I could continue to celebrate Dumbledore silenced the hall once again.

Dumbledore: "To Miss Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect... while others were in grave peril... 50 points." People started to clap for Hermione

"Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best-played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 50 points." Percy started to yell out that Ron is his little brother and that he beat Miss McGonagall's chess set.

"And third... to Mr. Harry Potter... for pure nerve and outstanding courage... I award Gryffindor house 60 points." The Gryffindor table was static they had tied with Slytherin for second, right then I knew that Galad house would not be getting it this year but next year was still open.

"Finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies... but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points... to Neville Longbottom." The Gryffindor table and all the others bar Slytherin were celebrating and cheering.

"Assuming that my calculations are correct I believe... that a change of decoration is in order. Gryffindor wins the house cup." Dumbledore changed the banners to the Gryffindor ones and we finished the feast with desert.

But next year I would make our house banners be up there and announce that House Galad is number one.

__

It was the day to get on the train and head back I only just realized that well... I don't have a place to stay.

Before I could become depressed the two Twins came over to me with happy faces.

Twins: "Yo Theo, we were just wondering - if you had a place to stay because - Mom said you didn't and if so -you could come and stay with us - so if you want tell us now so we can owl home"

I was delighted and readily agreed, I even got some gifts and some money to give to the Weasley family for letting me stay.

As we were getting back on the train to leave Hogwarts, Hagrid was there to send us off. The kind gentle giant was crying while seeing us off.

We waved out the compartment window as the train left, One year down another 6 to go I can't wait for the next to start.

(Note: A few chapters ago I asked you guys who Theo should end up with. Well I need to come to a final decision before the second year starts inorder to set the story of romance so I have counted the votes and have come to a tire so this will be the last vote.
