The Tournament Concludes

As everyone sails off on the boat, they all watch as Shang Tsung's island disappears.

"Sure, why not. Thunder Gods, guys that can shoot fire. Why not add disappearing islands to the list." Johnny says.

"Yeah, this has definitely been an experience, to say the least." Sonya says.

"Well, I'm, you know, glad that we got to fight, together." Johnny tells her, rubbing the back of his head.

Sonya smirks, let's out a sigh, and puts her arms out for a hug. Johnny smiles goes in for the hug, as Sonya awkwardly pats him on the back.

"Cage, if your hands go any lower, I will rip them off. Along with another body part."

Johnny quickly lets go as Sonya walks off.

"You think she'll ever like me?" Johnny asks Jax and Kung Lao.

"I suppose anything is possible." Kung Lao says.

"She didn't hit you in the nuts, did she?" Jax asks.

"Yep, multiple times." Johnny says with a grin.

A bandaged up Liu Kang smiles as he hears his friends, then looks up at the night sky.

"Is something troubling you, Liu Kang?" Raiden asks.

"I was just thinking about my fight with Shang Tsung. There was a few moments where I thought I was going to lose."

The Monk then looks at his fist for a minute.

"I must continue to improve. For them, and the rest of Earthrealm."

"Yes, you do. As you know, your destiny requires you to fight an even greater foe than Shang Tsung. But, as for tonight, let's celebrate our victory." Raiden tells Liu Kang with a smile.

"Hey Liu Kang! Raiden! I stole this drink from Shang Tsung's island, I think it's booze! Come over and let's get this victory party started!" Johnny calls out to them.

Liu Kang sees everyone smiling at him, even Sonya and walks over to them. Johnny pours everyone a glass, giving Kung Lao two for Jax. They then lift their glasses up in the air.

"To Liu Kang, our Champion!" Sonya yells.

"To Earthrealm!" Liu Kang adds.

Everyone then drinks and laugh as the boat continues to sail.

Meanwhile, a bloody and beaten Shang Tsung kneels before someone in a thrown.

"You have failed me." A mighty voice tells him.

"I'm sorry master, the Shaolin was more capable than anticipated. He-"

"Silence!"

Shang Tsung cowers in fear when the voice yells at him. The emperor, Shao Kahn stands up from his throne, grabs Shang Tsung by the throat and lifts him up in the air.

"Five hundred years, I have waited! Now I must wait five hundred more because of your failure!"

He throws him across the room, into a wall.

"My lord...all is...not lost." Shang Tsung says, spitting out blood.

"You sound as though you have a plan, sorcerer. Speak!"

"What if the rules of the Mortal Kombat tournament, were changed?"

An evil grin appears on the face of Shao Kahn.

"Continue."
