Kings Cross Station, Platform 9 3/4

On the second day at 8 o'clock in the morning, Jon woke up from his sleep.

He turned off the alarm clock that was still loudly crowing like a rooster, got out of bed, and put on jeans and a shirt... He didn't want to wear the thick and stuffy wizard's robe to the train station.

He picked up his suitcase and went to the yard downstairs; Eric had already started the car and got out to help Jon put the suitcase into the trunk.

Judy was also there changing her shoes.

"Mom, are you coming with us too?" Jon asked.

"Yes!" Judy smiled kindly: "Eric and I will go to King's Cross Station to see you off."

...

...

The car was driving on the highway, Eric hummed the tune of "God Save the Queen" while driving.

Judy sat in the back seat with a worried look on her face, constantly giving instructions:

"Don't be as casual at school as you are at home!"

"Don't argue with professors and classmates!"

"Remember to wear warm clothes in cold weather. I've put two wool sweaters at the bottom of your suitcase..."

"I know, Mom!" Jon didn't seem annoyed by Judy's nagging at all, but responded with a smile.

"Well, I'm still a little worried..." Judy covered her face with her hands. It was the first time in more than ten years that she would be separated from her son for so long.

"Don't worry unnecessarily, dear!" Eric seemed to have a better mindset. He teased while humming a tune: "I believe our baby is more capable of surviving alone than you are..."

"Shut up!" Judy gave him a look.

But her mood seemed to have improved a lot.

They spent about two hours on the road and arrived at King's Cross Station at half past ten.

Eric put the suitcase on the handcart and asked, "Jon, which platform should we go to?"

"Eleven o'clock, Platform Nine and Three-Quarters..." Jon took out his ticket.

"What? Platform Nine and Three-Quarters?" Eric frowned. "I don't remember King's Cross Station having such a platform."

"Maybe we should go and see between the ninth and tenth platforms!" Jon was familiar with the way based on his knowledge of the plot in the previous novel.

King's Cross Station was one of the oldest railway stations in Europe and the largest railway station in London today; however, compared to the bustling scenes of the Magic Metropolis Hongqiao Station or even the Magic Metropolis Station that Jon had seen in his previous life, it was far less lively.

Passing through some sparse crowds, they arrived near the ninth platform.

The destination of the ninth platform was Aberdeen in Scotland, while the tenth platform was for Glasgow in Scotland.

Based on Jon's understanding of the weather changes at Hogwarts from his previous life, he could infer that the actual location of Hogwarts should be in the mountainous area in the middle of Scotland, at the northern end of the British Isles.

Calculating the distance of more than 400 miles (600 kilometers) from London, it's no wonder the train departs at 11 o'clock in the morning and arrives at Hogwarts in the evening.

Jon glanced at the large clock beside him. It was already 10:15, and that was not good news.

Although he knew the way to enter Platform Nine and Three-Quarters was to pass through a pillar between Platforms Nine and Ten... there were at least ten pillars in front of him.

He couldn't just try them one by one with his head, that would be too foolish.

Moreover, based on his memory of the plot of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" from his previous life, the platform would close early due to Dobby's interference. By that time, he would have to take the flying car to school with the two chosen ones and probably end up in detention.

"Oh dear, my toad seems to have gone missing again!" a timid voice suddenly came from behind.

"Ah, Neville," he heard an old lady sigh.

Jon's eyes lit up and he quickly turned around.

An old lady and a boy, a grandmother and her grandson, were walking towards him. The grandmother looked imposing, while the boy seemed a bit clumsy. They were both wearing black wizard robes, standing out from the others.

Eric had obviously heard their conversation and noticed them as well.

Without Jon's reminder, he quickly approached them.

"Hello, ma'am... I'm Hart!" Eric said earnestly, "My son wants to go to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, he's a new student at Hogwarts, but we don't know the way..."

"Muggle?" The old lady looked surprised at Eric's attire.

But Eric was a lawyer after all, and his words gave people a sense of trustworthiness.

"Hello, Mr. Hart... I am Mrs. Longbottom!" The old lady smiled and said, "My grandson, Neville, is a second-year student at Hogwarts... I think he can take your son to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters."

"Hello, Mr. Longbottom!" Jon smiled warmly at Neville and said enthusiastically.

Neville nodded timidly in response.

"Neville, take Mr. Hart to the station!" Mrs. Longbottom commanded, her words carrying an undeniable tone.

"Okay... grandma..." Neville's voice was low.

Then he pushed his luggage cart and rushed towards one of the pillars between Platforms Nine and Ten.

Jon quickly pushed his cart and followed.

He heard Mrs. Longbottom's voice from behind: "Mr. Hart, walk right in the middle of the pillar, pretend there's nothing in front of you, so you won't bump into it."

"Bang..." Suddenly, he heard a slight collision sound ahead, and Jon quickly slowed down.

Following Mrs. Longbottom's instructions, he deliberately walked in the middle of the pillar.

A deep red steam engine appeared in front of him, with a sign on the train saying "Hogwarts Express".

Beside the train was a brand-new platform with a sign that read "Platform 9?".

"Success!" Jon exclaimed happily.

"Oh no!" Neville exclaimed, clutching his head on one side as his luggage trolley tipped over.

There was a slight red bump on his head, and from his appearance, it was obvious that he had just passed through the platform with his head turned to the side and bumped into something.

"Are you okay, Longbottom?" Jon asked with concern.

"I'm... I'm fine..." Neville said, holding his head and struggling to stand up.

"Neville!" a crisp voice came from the side, "Are you okay?"

A brown-haired girl ran over.

"I... I'm..."

Before Neville could finish, the girl had already drawn her wand from her belt and pointed it at Neville's head, muttering an incantation.

The swelling on Neville's head quickly disappeared.

"Thank you, Hermione!" Neville straightened his luggage trolley, "Hart... Huh, where is he?"

The boy who had accompanied him into Platform 9 and 3/4 was nowhere to be found.

Happy New Year!!!!!
