The Lazy Angel is a Dungeon Master

Hm? Wait, eh? What?! I'm now assigned on a mission so that I would be a dungeon master? Hold on, why?! That's such a painful task to do! Let someone else do it! In the first place, why me? What..? Only I can be the dungeon master? Stare into my eyes. Are you kidding me? No? Ugh, fine. There's no way I could argue against an archangel when I'm a mere angel. Alright, you win. I'll do it. So... my job is to serve as the boss of my dungeon and that naturally includes bashing up anyone who arrives at the boss room instead of reincarnating souls. But I'm getting tired of this anyway, so why not ask someone else to serve as the boss? Then, I would only have administration stuff to do! Hurray! I'm such a genius! But what if I could make a contract with an intelligent being and let them do the administration stuff too? Heheh... I'm such a genius! Oh, and also screw you, Lord Raphael. I still haven't forgiven you yet for pushing this job down onto me. ----

When I was taking a lunch break, I noticed some demons from the Underworld were also complaining about their increased workload and I agreed with them. I called out to them, inviting them to sit at my table and then we had a conversation. I actually hit off with them pretty well. We plan to drink or have dinner together during our next day off, which was in three decades. Not long. Just a bit more waiting.

Their names were Jamal, Sanil and Amon. All three were pretty devoted to their work of guiding the souls of the dead to us in the Overworld.

And actually, I've gotten some mail as well. One of them was to meet one of the Seven Archangels that govern over the Overworld in the One and Only Creator's stead like the Seven Archdemons of the Underworld, the Seven Archdragons of the Void Realm and the Seven Archspirits of the Spirit Realm.

I have no idea why Lord Raphael wants to meet me, a lowly angel of the lowest rank—the bottom of the bottom and lowest of the low.

But the entire journey would take around a year, and my manager wouldn't be able to do anything to protest about me legally skipping work for a year so lucky me. So let's get ready. I first told my manager about the situation and he seemed shocked. Like he was astonished.

But I don't blame him. It's a personal invitation from one of the Seven Archangels; the second highest ranking one to boot. I immediately rushed back to my cloud home and grabbed a few things for the meeting.

I hope it's not something big; like a job transfer or something (wink, wink). I like (hate) my job as a Reincarnation Angel, but the pay is way too good for the amount of work you have to put in each shift. I am fairly well known as a great Reincarnation Angel among my close circle; like my friend Zuriel or the likes of some Greater Angels that I have some connections to, so I presume it shouldn't be something too big.

Perhaps something simple like a small favour should sound right. If it is a small favour, then I wonder what the favour would be. I mean, Lord Raphael is one of the most powerful and influential angels out there, so it would be quite strange for someone like him to be asking a favour from someone of a low rank, like me.

But if it's not something like a small favour then... I wish myself good luck.
