The Lazy Angel is a Dungeon Master

Hm? Wait, eh? What?! I'm now assigned on a mission so that I would be a dungeon master? Hold on, why?! That's such a painful task to do! Let someone else do it! In the first place, why me? What..? Only I can be the dungeon master? Stare into my eyes. Are you kidding me? No? Ugh, fine. There's no way I could argue against an archangel when I'm a mere angel. Alright, you win. I'll do it. So... my job is to serve as the boss of my dungeon and that naturally includes bashing up anyone who arrives at the boss room instead of reincarnating souls. But I'm getting tired of this anyway, so why not ask someone else to serve as the boss? Then, I would only have administration stuff to do! Hurray! I'm such a genius! But what if I could make a contract with an intelligent being and let them do the administration stuff too? Heheh... I'm such a genius! Oh, and also screw you, Lord Raphael. I still haven't forgiven you yet for pushing this job down onto me. ----

24 Days Left

Valentyn came home. A little worn here and there, but nothing too much to worry about. As I'd ordered, he had brought home useful information about monster habitats and uhh... how would I put it?

Well, to simply put it, during the night, Valentyn had searched around the capital city of Orth, capturing monsters that he deemed "suitable" to be of use to me. I'm not joking either. Most of these monsters he'd deemed "suitable" were pretty powerful when compared to the strength of other beings in Arula.

However, they were still pretty weak compared to the likes of Hestia or Valentyn. I'm not sure about the slave girl, but I'm sure if I trained her a little, she would be standing with them two in no time flat.

Anyway, after I greeted Valentyn when he arrived on the first floor, he presented all of his prey to me with sparkling eyes that wanted praise. I sighed and told him "good job" with a pat on his back for his efforts. I'm happy with his loyalty to me, but sometimes, it could get a little extreme.

We finished the fifth floor (finally), but we're far behind schedule. We should've finished yesterday around six hours after noon (6 PM), however!

Due to the appearance of Valentyn and the sheer amount of monsters that he'd brought to my dungeon, I had to sort it out by myself, making "fair" and "suitable" contracts with the monsters, while Miriel was working by himself, but Valentyn technically gave us around three days' worth of time with his actions.

Since I'd planned to spare three or four days to go and make contracts, and now I realise that Valentyn could do it for me while gathering information on Orth, it's a win-win. So, for the next couple of days, Miriel and I took breaks more often than usual... well, not Miriel, but I've been taking more breaks frequently.

I'm a (former) Reincarnation Angel, alright? The divine power of creation is not something I'm too proficient at using, and fun fact: I could barely qualify for a job in the World Creation sector.

Yeah... so that's why I wanted to have Miriel do the most of the job for me. He's from the World Creation sector and is immensely talented in creation. My dungeon would certainly be of a much higher quality if I had Miriel do the work for me.

I don't think the challengers or anyone else would actually care, but since it's my dungeon, I want it to be of a higher quality regardless. Makes me feel proud of myself.

The sixth floor is finished. It's by far the easiest and fastest to create and design since the theme we chose for it was combat... or fighting in general. We had to create this huge colosseum out of sandstone, enchanted with the divine power of destruction, so anything could be easily destroyed if any rouge magic spells or attacks hit the walls of the colosseum. It's one way to prevent damage I guess.

Miriel tried to put up a barrier to prevent damage, but I decided not to. I had the final say here, so Miriel couldn't complain either.

So my original plan for the sixth floor was an eerie and desolate floor; basically like after a mass extinction. So, after challengers defeated the fifth floor's guardian, they would descend the flight of stairs to the entrance of the sixth floor, a basement filled with monsters behind bars. It's cold, damp and dark down there, contrasting that of the fifth floor's theme. But since my dungeon is also made out of my wing's feathers, which are soft and warm, it's going to be hard to create that "dreary" atmosphere I wanted.

Then, as usual, Miriel came and saved the day! He proposed making the main aspect of the floor much smaller, so it wouldn't come in contact with the walls or the floor of the dungeon, the places where my feathers are used.

Therefore, we made the colosseum. The sixth floor's guardian would be in the centre of the colosseum and the entrance to the seventh floor would be right behind it. So, challengers would have to fight the guardian of the sixth floor almost immediately after arriving.

That might be a little unfair, so I've made the guardian of the sixth floor a humanoid golem, where challengers must say a "password" to activate it, otherwise, it would be just a sitting hunk of metal and rock.

Also, one of my concerns about this plan is the fact that challengers could just skip the guardian entirely, going around it and heading to the seventh floor. I'd countered that with a machine that scans a passkey that challengers could obtain after they've defeated the guardian.

First, the machine would scan for the guardian's mana or energy signal and then scan the passkey to which it was fed. If the mana signal of the guardian is gone, and the passkey is legitimate, the gates open to the seventh floor.

It's pretty smart, isn't it? I made it myself while Miriel created the colosseum. That piece of technology is probably the thing I'm most proud of.
