Chapter 145

We managed to gather seventy more soldiers from Ivarsteed to accompany us for today's mission. I cancel the seal barrier around the area and release a sigh as I feel the necrotic energy get stronger than yesterday.

I look at Wylandriah and say.

"Prepare a barrier around us. We did not want anything from that hole to leave this area. Before you say anything, I didn't mean to doubt the barrier you made yesterday, but I don't want to take a chance if something manages to sneak past your barrier."

Wylandriah nods her head and says.

"Don't worry. I understand. I am not proud of a woman to be insulted just because you are concerned for the people's safety. Focus on the necromancer and leave the rest to us."

"Thank you. Let's do this."

She nods and prepares to cast the barrier while Captain Maerig and the others prepare their weapons in case something comes out of the hole. I take a deep breath, touch the ground, and release a massive amount of Dragon Slayer mana into the ground, destroying the ground beneath me.

As I land on the underground, I can see an army of Draugr already waiting for me. Before I can even say anything, they start to charge at me.

Without any allies nearby, I take a deep breath and shout.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!"

A massive torrent of wind comes out of my mouth and destroys a lot of the Draugr in front of me. However, some of them open their mouths and fight my roar with their own.

"Fus Ro Dah!"

A dragon's shouts fight against a dragon slayer's roars clash with each other. I push more mana into my roar and see the wind torrent get bigger, covering the entire tunnel with wind that wreaks havoc on anything that appears in front of it.

The Draugr did not have enough soul juice to fight my roar and get eaten by my roar, grinding their bones into dust.

I release a sigh and smile a little at the sight in front of me. I nod, take out my sword, and follow the tunnel deeper into this underground burial ground. I did not even walk for a minute before I saw another wave of undead running toward me. There are zombies, skeletons, and draugr in this wave.

"Yol Toor Shul!"

I release a massive torrent of fire breath at the incoming undead and watch it burn. However, I widen my eyes when I see some of them manage to punch through my shout and ready to strike me down.

I raise my attack to block the first attack and twist my body to do a counterattack.

Wind Breathing Fifth Form: Cold Mountain Wind

I swing my sword down and create a massive cyclone around me, grinding all the undead that manage to reach me. I quickly dash forward and swing my swords left and right to attack the remaining undead in front of me as I run deeper into the underground burial ground.

My attack releases winds that create a wind tunnel, destroying anything that I miss while running forward.

Wind Breathing First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter

I continue to slash my way through the tunnel before stopping at the edge of the tunnel. I can see some sort of ceremonial chamber underneath me. I turn around and see not too many undead left before jumping down into the chamber. I will leave the rest to Captain Maerig and his boys to take care of them.

As I land on the massive chamber, I can feel the entire thing start to shake. A couple of seconds later, something comes out of the ground, and it is big. I release a sigh when I see a dragon appear in the middle of the chamber. It is four meters tall and seven meters long.

The dragon looks at me and opens its mouth.

"Fus Ro Dah!"

I stab my sword to the ground to hold myself and release a shout of my own.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!"

Two attacks collide, and after a few seconds, my attack hits the head of the dragon. I use this chance to jump high and appear above its head. I do a dive kick at the dragon and hit it right in the head.

"Sky Dragon's Dive!"

The dragon falls to the ground, and I take a deep breath. A second later, I released a shout at the dragon.

"Fus Ro Dah!"

The dragon gets thrown to the wall behind it, shaking the entire place from the impact. I take a deep breath and absorb a lot of natural energy to enter my Dragon Sage Mode. I combine my Senjutsu, Chakra, and Dragon Slayer magic for my next attack.

I create a condensed ball of energy in my mouth, and when it is ready, I release it.

"Sky Dragon's Wind of Annihilation!"

I release a beam of energy at the undead dragon, and when it hits the target, the energy expands and creates a dome around the dragon. This is the upgraded version of my Maelstrom Sphere. Instead of destroying the enemy from the inside and the outside to create maximum damage, this one only has one purpose: destroy.

Anything inside that sphere will turn into dust. Only someone with exceptional defense can withstand that attack or someone powerful enough to destroy that sphere. This is an attack I create while in this world so I can fight against the Khaos Brigade back home.

There is only one downside. I cannot use my Thu'um or any magic that requires me to use my mouth because I use it to stabilize the energy so it does not explode, just as dragons use their throat to stabilize their raw power from their soul.

The sphere disappears after a few minutes, and I feel my soul absorb some of the power from the undead dragon.

"That is the reason why it is so weak. The soul is something very important to a dragon, for that is where their power comes from. However, you cannot control an undead dragon with their soul in full power, right?"

I look to the left and see an undead wearing what looks like a regal magician outfit while holding a staff with a blood-red orb on top of it.

"You know nothing, mortal! I am the greatest necromancer! Naeonniss Saelinaine! The one who soon rules over this world!"

I shrug and take a battle stance.

"Then let's see if you are all talk or man of action!"

I dash forward and swing down my sword.
