The Grand ball (pt. 1)

I remember this day in so much detail..

There I was, infront of the castle. Not going to this would mean punishment for my whole family, for my little brother. I took a deep breath and before I knew it, I was inside.

I had never seen anything so extravagant before, It was made of marbles and other things I could not even identify. There was so much too it I could never list it all, my favorite part had to be the shining Chandler and the lovely people chatting and dancing. Everything and everyone there seemed to be elegant, each movement and shine was another amazement to me. Since I spent most of my life inside the house, I never even came near the castle or any of the lovely homes.

While looking around I felt a pat on my shoulder, "hm?" I said quietly and turned around. It was a handsome young man with golden wavey hair and dark blue eyes, he wore a mainly white suit and had dark skin. "Hello my lady." his voice was gentle his smile was flashy, but not too flashy. I felt the stare from other people in the castle and I finally realized who this was, his name was Darek a queenless king of the 2nd strongest kingdom there is, Asmuliar. I curtsied and spoke "Hello Sir Darek, king of Asmuliar. How may I help you?" "Arise, I do not wish to be bowed too." he sounded demanding, yet could not get rid of the gentle effect. "I apologise dearly." I blushed from akwardness and talked a bit shyly. He nodded kindly to let me know it's okay, A Woman was standing behind me to my left quietly as if she we're waiting for us to finish. Darek spoke at last "What's your name my lady?" the gentle voice sounded even more gentle, I blushed as he suddenly grabbed and kissed the back of my palm. "I am Alice, child to the Gramarham kingdom." I said proudly, It's disrespect to address your kingdom without powerful and meaning tones. "Well Alice, It was lovely meeting you. I feel we may meet again, Good day, Alice of Gramarham." "Good day Sir Darek." He walked away and I turned to the lady behind me. She had long, brown, curly, and silky hair, emerald green eyes and peach like skin. She immediately grabbed my hand and gave it a kiss, her touch was soft along with her kiss. "Why hello Alice. I'm Clara, princess to the Javolka kingdom." She spoke proud, but also sounded flirty. I curtsied "It's very nice to meet you Princess Clara." I tried to stay calm, with all the flirting and everything it reminded me of that guy I saw at the store, I'm not sure why though. I remember thinking to myself "Will he be at the party?" when I was finished questioning myself I realized Clara was in the middle of a sentence "like to dance with me?" I saw that man from the store out the corner of my eye. "I dearly apologise, but there is something I must do first. May you excuse me?" I wanted to thank that man for the dress. If I'm honest I am a little mad he spent that much money on me without even knowing my name. "Ah, well if you are truly busy maybe I can dance with you later." As soon as she finished talking I replied immediately "Of course, I'll take my leave now." I picked up my dress and walked over to the man, he was talking to two other men another woman was standing besides him. I patiently waited behind him holding my hands together infront of me. "It seems someone wants to talk with you." One of the men said, the man that spoke seemed and looked alike to the man from the store, I assumed it was the store guy's father. the other man spoke "Is she the current lover you we're talking about, every other woman we have talked too has refused any relationships with you." The man from the store faced me, staring at me for a cold second and smirked grabbing my hand and facing the man again. I blushed, because who wouldn't in this situation. His grip was powerful, I tried pulling my hand away politely, since I Don't want to make a scene and you could not even tell I moved away. "Yes, this is her. I cannot take part with your daughter, because I'm not available." He spoke fermily and calmly the man replied "Well, what's your name Darling." I realized everyone in the group was staring at me, the girl with a harsh and mean look. "I am Alice, child to the Gramarham kingdom" I spoke clearly "Such a low class kingdom. I'd expect better from you Jaxon." the angered man said Jaxons (The man from the store) father dropped in "At least he is happy, If he does not take interest in your daughter let it be." he spoke harshly I felt a fight about to begin "Darling I'm a bit scared, may we talk elsewhere for a moment?" I said quietly "Of course love." he held his arm out, I wrapped mine around his. As we walked a way the last thing I heard was "How could such a beautiful lady be in the lowest classed kingdom." from the man I was not sure if that was a complement or not. Jaxon ended up leading me to the back of the castle. He let go as soon as we we're out of sight, I was still blushing. I slapped him on the side of the face with all my force, he did not move an inch he just.. took it. "What the hell?!" I was so annoyed. He slapped me back after a moment, only making me angrier. "Who do you think you are?!" I stood firmly. He stood there silently for awhile, then spoke "Who knew such a lady would be so disrespectful, you thought I paid for that dress for nothing?" his face was red, that ment mine was too. "You bastard! I had no part or place in this!" I held myself from tears and from screaming too loud, only beginning to know the trouble he has gotten me into. "..." he was silent.. I could not help but beat on his chest. I refrained from cursing repeatedly, he grabbed my hands holding them together and pinned me against the wall. "Stop being so childish." he sighed "CHILDISH? I. AM. NOT. CHILDISH!" before he could reply I added "LET ME GO?! NOW!" I tried getting free but I was not even close to moving him. "Consider this payback, for the dress." he started to sound less calm and more annoyed, his voice was still intimidating yet somehow smoothing to me. "I have no part in this, there was no agreement." I lowered my voice and calmed down, I could tell I was still blushing even under the slap that still stung.
