Chapter 22

Rose, Anthony & Audrey

Sunlight Town

9:35 PM

Location: The Comic Book Store

June, 29th, 2025

Hundreds of zombie hordes and different types of zombies stood outside of the comic book store, bashing the windows of the store and throwing rocks and pebbles at the walls, trying to get in. Anthony, Rose, and Audrey stand from the inside of the store, geared up with things. Anthony was geared up with his classic Cheeto launcher, his ruby axe, and his basically broken captain america shield, which he was planning to repair after the fight. Rose was equipped with her shovel, and Audrey was armed with her weapon, AKA a cleaver. Rose walks to the doors and sets her hand on the door handle. Anthony covers the underground base with pieces of the store's floor that Trevor had dag all that time ago. Anthony lifts a thumbs up. "Are we ready?" Anthony says. Audrey looks at the ground. "Ready" Audrey replies. Rose looks back at them. "Alright." She says, then unlocking the door. Instantly, a tank zombie barrels through the door, sending Rose flying backwards and smashing into a shelf of outdated DC comics, as the shelf falls over, crashing into the back wall. Anthony takes his half broken Captain America shield out and jumps onto the tanks back, stabbing his shield into the tanks zombies arm, as the arm slides off and lands on the ground. The tank roars and spins around, and Anthony struggles to stay on the zombies back. "Audrey, help Rose! I'll take care of this!" Anthony says. Then, all of a sudden, zombies' heads fall downwards. "What's happening?" Anthony says, watching zombies fall one by one. Then he comes out, "Trevor!" Anthony says, "Did ya miss me?" Trevor said, "I'll keep the zombies away from you, while you take down that tank!" Said Trevor. "Got it friend!" Anthony says. Anthony whips his axe out, raising it up and slicing down, cutting the zombies back. Blood drips from the wound, splatting onto the floor. Anthony then pulls out the cheeto launcher, pulling the barrel of the gun back, ready to fire. But suddenly, the tank reaches its hand over its shoulder and grabs Anthony by the shirt, then slamming Anthony onto the ground, cracking the floor. Drool and saliva falls on the floor of the store around Anthony. The tank snarls and goes in for the bite, and- WHAM! The tank is whacked in the knee as the tank falls down. Rose grabs the tank by the hair and pulls up the head, then slicing the neck of the tank in a heartbeat. Rose lowers her shovel down and lifts Anthony up. "Thanks," Anthony says. Rose shrugs. "It was nothing. Now, let's go help Trevor" She says. Audrey follows behind Rose and Anthony and they run outside, to see Trevor slicing zombies left right forwards backwards 3 dimensional you name it. Trevor, who now looks like he's about to pass out, whacks the zombie out of commission. Trevor falls backward, straight into sleep mode, "He must really care about you not dying Anthony." Audrey said, "Yep." Anthony replies. Anthony tries to drag

Trevor inside of the comic book bunker, but because of how enormous this kid is, and his gadget vest, Anthony is unable to drag Trevor. "A little help guys?" Anthony said, straining, Rose and Audrey walk over to Trevor and Anthony. Rose and Audrey grab Trevors jacket, and pull him into the comic book store bunker. "Why the hell is he so heavy?!" Audrey yells. Trevor is set on the sleeping bag, and then Rose, Audrey, and Anthony, just hang around, doing stuff. Audrey is trying to figure out why Trevor is so goddamn heavy, Rose is watching Anthony try to fix up the radio scanner so the squad could find their missing parents. "I cannot figure out how Trevor is so heavy, I give up." Audrey said, then sitting down in a chair. "What do we do? Other than just hang in here and do stuff?" Says Audrey. "I dunno, sharpen your blade?" Rose replied. Anthony looks over to Trevor, dropping his work supplies on his work table. "How about we wake up Trevor?" Anthony asks, raising an eyebrow. Rose shrugs. "Let him get some rest, Anthony. He needs some after fighting all of those zombies anyway" Rose replies. "You're right." Anthony said. Audrey ignores it and tries to wake Trevor up. "Wakie wakie eggs n bakey!" Said Audrey, shaking Trevor. "What are you doing?" Anthony said, looking over his shoulder. "I'm trying to wake up Trevor!" Audrey says. Anthony grabs his supplies and gets to work. "You're supposed to give him rest, stop messing around and just chill." He says. Anthony starts to connect wires and place pieces of scrap metal on top of the inside of the radio scanner, covering up the inner workings. Anthony lifts his welding mask up, and shoves his TLG filler rods into his pockets. "Done" Anthony says, sighing and sitting on a chair. "And plus, I have a new idea for some gadgets . AKA: walkie talkies!" Said Anthony in excitement. "We could use some communication around here" Audrey says. Anthony nods and climbs out of the underground base, lifting himself up to the actual store. Anthony stands up and looks through the window, and the sun had just about set, and the sky was barely blue. Anthony slides back into the base. "Okay, can one of you get me materials?" Anthony says. "I can" Trevor suddenly says, fully up and leaning on the wall. Anthony pulls a thumbs up. "Splendid, friend!" Anthony says. "Wait, you guys can also help too," Anthony says. "Rose, you're in charge of getting scrap metal, which you can get at the junkyard. And Audrey, you can get brick." Anthony says. Audrey and Rose nod, jumping out of the hole. Trevor follows behind them. "Don't die, Trevor" Anthony says. Trevor chuckles. "Anthony, I never die" Trevor says, finally exiting the store. Anthony then reaches into his bag and pulls the guy's diary from before, starting to flip through the pages. "Meanwhile, I'll learn how to control the NIght Lurkers themselves." Anthony says.
