Chapter 8

Anthony:

Sunlight Town

4:45 PM

Location: Sunlight Town Hillwood middle school

June, 26th 2025

I shut the door behind me, and when I look back Trevor is gone. I grab onto my lab coat and slowly move forward. I turn to the side, and finally find what I was looking for. "The science room!" I whisper. I open the door and walk inside. All kinds of potions and experiments were on desks, and the teachers counter. I scooped a bunch of the potions and attached them to my vest, then heading out of the room. I slam the door shut and hurry out. A few minutes later I bump into a wall of counters and chairs. "Ugh, what is this, a video game? Okay Anthony, think of this as an obstacle and avoid it." I grab onto a desk and do a front flip, landing on the ground. "Ha, superhero landing!" I say. I stand up, to see the teachers lounge."'I always wondered what went on in here" I say, quickly swinging the door open. "Gah!" I yell, as 3 zombies flopped out of the room. I trip and land flat on my butt, scotting myself as far away as possible. But something was off about these zombies, there were…...vinified? The zombies had vines wrapped all around them, as if they were captured by some sort of tree monster. A zombie launches its hand onto my foot, and another grabs my coat. I scream and kick them away, standing back up and running the other wa-BAM! I slam head-first into the wall of chairs, falling on the ground. "Aw come on!" I say. I grab onto a chair and swing it around, whacking all the zombies back, giving me enough time to get through the wall of chairs. I rolled onto the floor, and sighed.

"Phew" I say. I get off the floor and open the door. I walk out the door and find 2 ice axes laying on the ground. I pick them up and put them in my backpack. I walk down the hallway, looking around for any more zombies. But, there was nothing. Zip. nadda. Not a single zombie was there. I walk down the stairs and reach the first level of the school. "Guess I'll be leaving" I say, walking to the door. I take one final look around the school. Suddenly, something pops up behind some lockers. I turn around, confused. "Hello?" I ask. No answer. I shrug and exit the building. I run back to the comic book store, and climb back into our fort. Then I make some holsters to hold my dual ice axes. Then, Trevor shows up and climbs into the base.
