The Last Plague

Chapter 7

Sunlight Town

Location: Sunlight Town Middle School

June, 26th 2025

I look at the school in front of me, "Long time no see." I say to the zombified principal in the office. I put my eyepatch on my scarred eye. "I might get detention for this but, it's the end of the world." I pull out my trusty bat. Home run, I run to the front door and it doesn't budge. I sigh and kick the door open. The school was filled with goo stench and no zombies. I close the door behind me and it is surprisingly dark. I take out my flashlight and shine it around. I see the tank zombie on the second floor stairs. I back out through the school doors, "Uh oh." I turn and sprint. The zombie tank jumps from on top of the school roof and runs at me, I stop in my tracks. I quickly turn around video game style and Home Run uppercuts the zombie in the jaw. I wind Home Run back up for another swing and… BASH! It hits the zombie head on.

I run to the yard tree and climb up. I then jump out of the tree and smash Home Run on its head. Home Run's tip breaks and the zombie wacks me across the dead overgrown grass. I look at my bat, broken, which means it just got upgraded! Now I'll name it Zombie Slayer. I get up and run to the zombie tank. I jump as high as I can and stab my bat Zombie Slayer into its back. It goes nuts and starts running around trying to get me off, but I just grip tighter. Zombie Slayer comes loose and drags across its body. It leaves a gigantic cut, I then grab the edges of the cut and try to open them, I strain, "How's this zombie freak!?" I take out The Zombie Slayer and I jam it's back. The zombie yells and shrieks. I turn The Zombie Slayer and it kills the zombie. I put The Zombie Slayer into its holster and walked back inside the school. I go to the generator and turn on the power, I then walk back up to the second floor to go to the principal's office. I get there and pull out my bat, I kick the door open and stab it into the principal's head. I rip it out and zombie blood goes everywhere except the chair. I dump the body off of the chair and carry it out of the school. "Oh Anthony is gonna love this!" I walk rolling the chair behind me like a garbage can, I slowly look around to find the comic book store, I plug in my earbuds again and listen to some tunes. I slowly get to the comic book store, I get into the base and I see Anthony.
