The Last Plague

Chapter 4

Sunlight Town

Location: The Streets

June, 26th 2025.

7:32 AM

I walk on the streets with my bat leaned on my right shoulder. I look straight in the rain and I smell the smell of zombie guts and pickle juice. "Eugh." I say in disgust. I continue walking, pinching my nose shut. "Anarchy kinda rules because of all the fun you could have, but it smells like crap." I continue walking on the streets, constantly looking around and pushing things aside for the things that Anthony needs for the radio scanner. I then finally spot something shiny in a huge pile of junk. I run towards it and pick it up. I got the piece for the radio, but I need one more. I thought in my head.

I kept on walking in the cold rain, my calves were sore and achy. I felt like an old person, I suddenly heard somebody yell "Help!" I whip my head to the left to see a zombie tank devouring a man. It lifts its head up and roars like an intro of a new monster chasing you in a video game, it feels like that. I picture the camera zooming to the zombies face and it roars. Plus a super smash bros name on the side, I get out of dreamland and sprint away like Usain Bolt. I don't look back at all, just run. That's all that my mind has on the plate, run, run, run, run. I then look behind me and see no zombie. I then let out a sigh of relief. "Phew, got that outta my hair." I then turn back and the zombie jumps down all of a sudden in front of me. Knocking me off of my feet, I try to crawl back but it just slowly walks forward. I get up and I just run, I try to get this zombie off of my tail, I stop in my tracks and turn to an alleyway on my right. I see no escape, I feel a great wave of fear splash over me, I'm gonna die. But I don't wanna go out with no zombie kills. I whipped out my bat and was ready for the fight of my life, at the corner of my eye I spotted a ladder and said, "Not today buddy!" I say to the zombie. I climbed up the ladder and it tried to get me but I was just too fast. I make it to the rooftop and just walk on the hotels and buildings. I could see a pretty good view of everything. I see another shiny thing on something, I walk to grab it and I see it's the final piece! I put it in my backpack. And head off to the comic book store.

I just walked on the same streets, hoping that the zombie wasn't there. Boy was I right, it was a peaceful walk to the comic book store. I spot a hoard of zombies and just go around them, hopefully nothing bad went wrong. I continue on my way around the hoard and I walk through an alleyway so I can loop around to see the other side. I walked on the sidewalk looking all around. I make sure no zombie tank is anywhere but I just smell zombie guts and pickle juice, the usual. My nose got used to the smell and I just brushed it off, I can't believe that I escaped some boss level zombie straight out of a video game. I continue on the path to find a hoard of zombies on the floor, and Anthony in the middle of it.
