Is it hard to fall in love? Nope, it isn’t. Is it true you are falling for that person from your heart? Can you communicate with another person without words? Yes, when you are madly in love, your heart can speak without words. Even if you can’t meet them in person, your heart can still feel the happiness, sadness, depression, and what not? “THE LAST LOVE” is one such story of our girl realizing her love. (excerpt) “Zaike, I’m sorry!!!”. But she paused. She didn’t feel it right to apologize to him virtually right away like that. Deleting the text, she wrote again, “Hey there!! Please reply to me, Zaike… please do reply to me soon… I can’t bear this feeling anymore… I’m too full of stuff. I’ve spoken already… Please reply to me, Zaike… I want to see your eyes…feel the warmth… let us not be like this, Zaike…I can’t bear this pain anymore…” she paused. “I miss you already!!” Armelle completed texting as her eyes wandered to check once again. Armelle was a passionate girl who had never been in love before. Zaike, a childhood buddy of Armelle, falls in love with her. Nevertheless, everything has a beginning. Love is not easy for everyone...

The lightning flashed blinding the eyes of every living being looking up. The sky rumbled with all its might to vent out the anger upon this mankind.

The ground looked terrifying under the flashing light of the sky; the corpse scattered on the ground drenched in the downpour from heaven to cleanse their body, washing away their sins.

The girl entered the dead battlefield in the armor which covered her entire body, armed with a long blade covered in dried-up human blood. The armor looked heavy as she carried them in her slender body, but it wasn't that heavy when compared to the heaviness she carried in her heart.

She wandered around the battlefield passing many lifeless bodies with depressed and regret-filled eyes. when she reached a spot filled with several headless bodies, she removed the mail coif which covered her head, letting her tied-up hair fall. The downpour replicated her heart and the heaviness it contained. The sky poured its heaviness it contained but not her heart.

Bending her limbs, she got down to her knees. Putting down her long sword on the floor. Tears started swelling up her eyes. It wasn't easy for her to hold down her damped-up eyes for too long. Hot streams flashed across her body; she closed her eyelids tightly squeezing to prevent the tears from falling. But it didn't give any positive effects.

The heaviness in her heart started blowing up higher and higher making her whine in pain caused by her act. She cried her eyes out hiding her face behind the two little palms of hers. It wasn't easy for her to move on after taking away the lives of many innocent people in the battle which ended just a few hours ago.

"Why do people kill each other just for the sake of temporary happiness or being ambitious?" she spoke to her mind to justify her actions.

A strong flash of light illuminated the darkened region under them followed by the rumbling of the sky, making the region glow under the effect of lightning making the scattered corpse visible for a few seconds.

The view of the scattered corpses on the ground made her tremble in fear. Many bodies lay there headless, many heads body less, some limbless, whereas some dead bodies collapsed as the carrion feeders dug in with their claws making their way to devour the taste of the lifeless body laid.

She couldn't help but watch the view through the gaps of her fingers covering her face under the lightning. The more she stayed there the more fear caught her making her shudder. Enveloping her legs in her embrace, covering her face with her palms she stayed in the posture undisturbed. Wishing all this should end when she woke up.

Zaike!?? Help me!?" Armelle shouted in her sleep as she felt a hand disturbing her cheek, gently slapping. Soon she let her eyes open to view the world she currently dwells in. "Ms. Armelle, are you alright??" she heard a man speak in a masculine voice making her snap out of her nightmare.

She tried moving to a comfortable posture to talk to the man who is in front of her. "Are you alright??" she heard him speak again. "I'm Good now!!" she replied in exclaimed a voice.

"I'm sorry to disturb you but I couldn't help but make you awake since you were moaning and crying for quite a long time." The man who sat in the armchair spoke without a glimpse of his eye.

'It wasn't real. I'm glad. I couldn't convey the gratitude just with one thanks.' She wished to voice out but something struck her throat making her impossible to speak. His eyes were magical making her gulp her saliva.

"Armelle?" he called again to get her back from her thoughts.

Snapping back to reality, she wondered why this man was inside her room at that hour of the night.

"I'm sorry for troubling you, Mr.Zyaire!! But where is the nanny and why are you here!??" she asked politely but in a dubiety tone.

"I thought your grandma should get a proper night's sleep as she didn't get one for the past few days so I booked a room for her and made her stay there." He replied looking at the painting hanging on the wall behind him.

"I can call Noel if you feel uncomfortable" he continued turning his gaze towards Armelle.

"No. I'm Good being alone. You can move back to the dorm to get some rest." She replied. But she wished for him to stay with her but her concise told her not to trouble him.

"I'm Good staying here. You know the couch here is so cosy when compared to the bed in my dorm." He replied with a wink mesmerizing her with his looks.

she wondered why he didn't even mind asking about her opinion of him staying there.

"Then make yourself comfortable here!" she replied to him with an equally stunning smile.

It wasn't easy for her to hold down her eagerness to admire the godly features of his gorgeous face but something hit her thoughts making her to remind of her Zak.

It was a moment of truth when Armelle found Zaike beside her even in her dreams.

To say the truth, Zyaire was so worried. He knew her dreams of her could be post-traumatic stress events. He didn't want to leave her side and make her tremble in sleep once again, not ALONE AGAIN.

Armelle was not a new friend of his but a long-lost friend whom he searched for decades. Finally, She was near but still, the distance seemed to be far since her heart wandered around someone. He didn't get the chance to show his love towards her. The words Armelle uttered made his heart ache, knowing someone already in her heart he decided to step back to protect his feelings.

--

"Zaike, make sure you don't let your emotions take over your action!" Rex warned him before starting their journey over the chopper to visit Armelle.

"Take care, Rex!" Zaike replied not minding the advice given by Rex.

The pilot interrupted their conversation since the weather report stated about the rain alert.

Zaike started his journey with the eagerness to meet his unrequited love, not knowing the upshot he is going to come across.

--

A few minutes later after Armelle woke up from her nightmare, Zaike entered the room quietly. He doesn't want to show himself in front of her, not already. He was flustered, to make his presence in front of her. He stepped a couple of steps but froze as he saw a man beside her table.

*No Zak!?? Don't mistake themmmmmm*
