Theros is a brilliant young law graduate who began working in his uncle's legal office after the premature death of his mother. His life appears monotonous and devoid of excitement until he encounters a mysterious girl named Emilia. Their connection is instant, and they soon become inseparable.
However, fate is cruel. During a tragic car accident, Emilia dies while trying to save Theros. This event profoundly affects Theros, plunging him into a state of shock and depression.
After losing his loved ones, Theros discovers that he has an illness known as maladaptive daydreaming. It's a disordered form of dissociative absorption characterized by vivid and excessive fantasy activity, often involving elaborate and imaginative scenarios. In his daily life, Theros imagines himself having numerous adventures, trips, immense fame, wealth, and a perfect life, but only in his dreams.
His sole constant companion in this bewildering world of dreams and reality is his cat, a faithful friend who seems to understand his torment.
