First Training

When me and Sarah woke up and had breakfast we met in the training colosseum to start her first training session. The colosseum training room is in the middle of the ship, which is a huge circular room with many weapon racks along the side and huge pillars littered throughout the room. On the weapon racks are many different weapons that you could either commonly find in the galaxy and some that you might never see another of.

"Alright Sarah, now do you want to focus on melee style weapon fighting or ranged weapon style fighting? It's your choice." I look at her hoping she makes a smart choice for a weapon that would suit her.

"Why can I only choose one, you use both melee and ranged Zen?" She state while looking at me suspiciously

"Well its obviously because I have the time to, if I can't learn how to do multiple fighting styles within couple billion years, then what use am I?" I ask sarcastically

"Now stop messing around and pick up a weapon you want to use." Once I told her that; I saw her pick up a long range Terran sniper rifle and two dwarven steam revolvers. I guess those are good picks for beginners, hopefully she has some talent for shooting.

"Alright do you know anything about firing either a sniper rifle or revolvers? Well steam revolvers will probably be different from what you know."

"Well I have fired a rifle at a shooting range before, and it's the same for a revolver." she blankly states towards my question.

"Okay well for a sniper rifle, the biggest thing you need to focus on is your breathing, while for the revolvers will be muscle control in your fingers and arms. First off lay down over there and get in a prone shooting position, I will activate the training bots to just move around on the training grounds for you to fire at." I declare as I use the control panel in my hands to set their commands and open the gates that are in set locations on the colosseum walls.

"I want you to keep shooting at them until they can no longer move. Go!"

I just casually brought out a chair to sit and watch. I would hear her fire shot after shot, mostly missing the robots completely with the occasional hit nicking their arms and legs. After 25 shots, she reloads with the mag laying next to her on the ground. I gave her only three mags, so I hope she can take down the eight moving bots with just 75 rounds. As she is shooting I remember the charactersitics of the Terran sniper rifle which is similar in design to Earth's rifles but less bulky and has a longer barrel. It also uses physical ammunition that is made out of different metals and has more penetration power.

Oh she finally took one of the bots down with a shot to the chest, hitting its core data stream. It seems that was the last bullet of that magazine as she reloads the last one with only seven bots left to take down. As the bots are swerving around the pillars on the training grounds, one of them takes a hit to the head knocking it's head of it's torso where the bot becomes inactive. Now only six to go. Luckily she seemed to catch on quick and was able to take out the other six with five shots remaining in the magazine.

"Good job, now those steam revolvers are different. You will have to wear gloves as the steam tends to heat up the handle of the guns. I'm not gonna explain all of the specifics but these guns are really effective wherever there is abundant moisture in the air. It takes the moisture in the air heating it up as propellant for the projectiles which are solidifyed ice crystals. Technically if you are in a moisture rich environment, you will have unlimited ammunition. Of course it takes about one minute for each crystal to solidify enough for it to be fired."

"Thats awesome, doesn't that make this the perfect weapon since it has unlimited ammunition?" Sarah stares at her new weapons with satisfaction and love.

"Well if you notice, there is not that much moisture on ships, so they are not that effective for space combat. On ground combat though, they are widely used among members of the Tetrad Confederation. Now using those five bullets left in your rifle and the two steam revolvers, fight off these twelve bots that will attack you with wooden swords and rubber bullets. Good Luck!" I loudly declare as I leave the room and press the start button on the console. I will watch through the viewing glass.

I watch as she gets nervous about what to do, while three bots with swords charge at her from three different directions. Two robots are also shooting at her from a distance, while all the other bots are cautiously watching from the side. She takes multiple hits that will leave quite the bruising when she finishes. Sarah finally takes action by rolling out of reach from the melee bots, to quickly take aim with both of her revolvers easily dispatching two of the three bots and finishing off the third. She switches to the rifle so she can quickly take care of the two ranged bots shooting at her, while at the same time the other seven bot take action. Four of them charge with swords while three stay behind to fire from a distance.

After using two bullets to take out the first two bots she quickly rotates the rifle to aim at the three new ranged enemy's. It was simple for her to take out these three with the remaining bullets as they were stationary while firing at her. She drops the rifle and pulls out the two steam revolvers again, sadly it wasn't quick enough as the first melee bot swings and hits her in the chest knocking her backwards onto the ground. She ignores the pain, and fires while on her back, swiftly dispatching all four of the bots charging her.

"Good job, you should go get some rest now as you'll be feeling all those bruises when you wake up." I congratulate her as she limps out of the training coloseum towards her bedroom, not even paying me glance because she is too tired.
