Chapter 5: Confused

"Ow... ow... ow," Ray woke up feeling pain all over his body. The time where he fell off the roof, jogged for 40 minutes, and carrying a girl for an hour as a result bring pain all over his limbs.

He then unconsciously tried to grab his necklace only to realizes he does not have it anymore. Moments later someone slid open his door, "Ray I would like you to join Yuan's class for training today," Mi's mother said.

Mi's mother heard how Ray treated Mi as a normal person which was a dream come true for her. She hoped that he could keep Mi company for a while since everyone treats Mi like a plague. She also wants Mi to go to school like normal children, so it would be perfect for her to have someone that she can talk to.

Ray's eyes lit up and thought, "Training? maybe this is a good opportunity to figure out more this ability people have here." But after thinking to himself he held his long hair, "I have to clue how to use this..."

"It's this afternoon, it was originally started every morning, but people started to complain that it's too early," Mi's mother said before she left the room.

Thinking about how people manipulate their hair into objects and detaching was something Ray desperately wanted to learn. Ever since he came to this world, he tried to act like the original owner of the body who long past away due to a vision that someone else would take over.

His real name was Ren Ming back when he was still on earth. He was just a boring old college student that minded his own bussies. However, now he was given a new life from a necklace that was given by his grandfather he definingly want to make the best of it.

He still missed is old life since he had a few friends that were with him for a long time, but his death was such a blur to him he does not know what to say, but there was one vague memory that he could not help but think, there was a girl he tried ask out.

"Whelp, if I were trying to chase girls, I might as well wait till I'm older haha," Ray chuckled at his thoughts. Back in his old life he was almost nineteen and now with this new life he is fourteen. "It's weird being young again."

Ray snapped out of his little day dream before he slid opened the balcony doors and jumped off. He landed on one level to the next hearing a loud thump when he landed. Jumping off roofs was something that the old Ray had a habit of doing which was also a reason he gotten a nickname of troublemaker. But for Ren, it was a fun way of traveling.

The room ray rested in was above Mi's, and as ray jumped off the balcony it made a load thump sound before he continues to jump down from floors. Once Ray made it on ground level he started stretching. Then he decided to go for a stroll around the village.

"Ray! Where have you been!" someone shouted from behind. There was a group of friends Ray made some time ago.

"Oh, hey guys long time so see," Ray replied embarrassingly.

The group of friends were a group an outcast of students that did not fit in with the more popular people. Ray couldn't help but notice popularity is a very important in school to have power among their peers. Ray was use to see discrimination but a domination of popularity was new to him.

"Ray come on let's go do some stuff," Yun said.

"Anyone feel like messing around with some girls," someone else in the group suggested.

"Woah, you have a death wish Li," a few others laughed.

Ray all the sudden thought of the black-haired girl then said, "I don't think want to chase girls just yet, you guys have fun."

"Ray, don't tell me you already have a girlfriend already," someone chuckled.

"Meh," Ray waved his hand before heading to his house.

Thump

A loud noise came from outside and disappeared. Mi opened her eyes slightly, looking up at a familiar scene. Her body felt heavy and unable to move so she just gave up trying and stayed put. She later felt something in her right hand and started feeling it.

"Feels like there's a rock in my hand," Mi thought then felt a thin rope attached to it which was long.

"A necklace?"

Time past, the first thing Mi did after she gotten control over her body was to take a good look at the necklace in her hand. The necklace looked like nothing special, no color, detail, it just looks like a grey shattered rock, but Mi actually like it so she wore it.

Just as Mi was about to get off her bed a sudden realization flashed in her mind, "How did I get home??"

She felt weird and started picking her brain to think of any memory relating to yesterday, "Rain... remember lots of rain, thunder, a vague white hair person, um... wait a person?"

Her memory was fuzzy and the more she thinks about it the more she wonder what happened to her when she was out.

"That person did not do anything to me did he? or she?" Mi was panicking and checking if she had marks on herself.

Her Mother walked into the room and started at her.

"Mi, are you ok?" Her mother asked.

"What happened to me yesterday?" Mi replied with her own question.

"Oh, Ray was sent by your father to find you when you did not come home... also there was a chance you almost died yesterday which you didn't... Oh don't worry, Ray did not do anything to you, he's actually a good boy," Her mother was straightforward and not leaving any major detail, "Any more questions?"

Mi was frozen still trying to process the information.

"Hurry up and get dressed, I'll be preparing breakfast," her mother said before she left.
