SLEEP WITH YOU

George gets a spacious house for his family made up of 4 bedrooms, a wooden kitchen, a gorgeous living room, a beautiful flower garden with a salted compound and a swimming pool. The beautiful house is to be entered today by his wife Alex and their daughter Imelda after being discharged from the hospital. While in the car, a voice is heard

Imelda: Daddy! where are we going?

Connor: Home.

Imelda: Yayyyyyy.

Connor: You sound happy that is good.

Imelda: What is home?

Connor: Alexa break it down for her please .

Alexa: This is a place where you, me and your dad are going to stay together.

Imelda: What about Susanne?

Alexa : You mean your friend?

Imelda: Yes.

Alexa: We can always go to visit her .

Imelda: Okay.

As their in the midst of the conversation, Connor parks the car right infront of a beautiful house and it is 6:00 pm in the evening. Imelda gets out of the car and her excitement is visible to everyone.

Imelda: Woooow, so big.

Alexa: Right, it is too big and beautiful.

Connor: I am glad you like it.

Alexa: Thanks for giving us a home of our own.

Imelda is so happy that she runs around the whole house showing her parents the flowers, the trees and once she is inside the house she screams and starts jumping in the chairs as well.

Alexa: Come down baby ,it is not nice to keep jumping up and down you might tear the chairs with those small legs.

Connor: Let her be she is just a child.

Alexa: Easy for you to say but if she tears those chairs then????

Connor: I will buy better ones .

Alexa: Oh, your daughter is lucky because she has got a rich dad that is more than willing to spend and spoil her.

Connor: Exactly that is why she is Imelda Connor. I hope you get what I mean.

Alexa: Yes, she has your last name I see that.

Connor starts laughing at Alexa because of the way she ironically says the above words with an eye roll.

Connor. No need to be jealous,you are also Alexa Connor so you can do as you please with my money and I will be there to clean up your mess.

Alexandria: Oh please I don't need your money,I do have mine as well.

Connor: Then spoil yourself with it.

Alexa doesn't expect Connor 's come back so she starts laughing at him .

Imelda comes over and starts pulling over Alexa's hands.

Imelda: Mummy!, I am hungry.

Alexa: Oh I had totally forgotten that we had a toddler.

Connor: Good enough this one we have knows how to stand up for herself .

Alexa: Indeed.

Alexa asks Connor for the directions to the kitchen and once in, she checks the fridge and finds some packaged mango juice that she hands over to their daughter and then gets some spaghetti to cook for her tiny family.

Connor: Stop!

Alexa: What!

Connor: I don't need you doing this in my house.

Alexa: What exactly,I don't get you?

Connor: I mean cooking.

Alexa: So where are we to find food to feed her?

Connor: We can order online.

Alexa: Will you keep ordering online when I can just cook this in 10 minutes and all will be ready ?

Connor: No I can't but I can hire a cook to do all this.

Alexa: It's okay Connor,it's just for today and we just moved in so we always have to have emergency plans and in this case it is me .So sit down at the dining table with your daughter and I will come serve you in no time.

Imelda: Daddy!

Connor: Yes, my darling.

Imelda: ( points at the big TV screen) TV

Connor: Okay let us watch something nice.

Connor and his daughter sit down and start watching cartoons and within no time food is served and the little family of 3 sits at the table to have their meal of spaghetti, fries with avocado.

Once every one is done with food, Imelda is shown to her room where her mother bathes her as her father irons her little pyjamas.

Once Imelda is all dressed up, and her parents are walking out through the door, she calls

Imelda: Mum! Dad!

Mum: Yes.

Dad: Are you okay little one.

Imelda: Can I sleep with you ?

Both parents are shocked because much as they are her parents,they hadn't yet thought of sleeping on the same bed even if it's with their daughter because they are sure she is old enough to stay in her own room.

Alexa: Baby! you have to learn to sleep in your room .

Imelda: Why?

Alexa: Because not that we will always be there to accompany you in your sleep so learn to do it now so it is not hard to sleep.

Imelda gets so angry at her mum.

Imelda: Mummy is bad. mmm

Alexa: No am not baby .

Connor: Okay ,let mummy and me first go and shower because we have had a long day and then come over to sleep with you ,okay?

Imelda: Okay. I love you dad .

Connor: I love you more.

Alexa is so exhausted from everything so she gets herself a room next to her husband's room where she showers and gets herself freshened up to go and spend the night with her arranged husband and daughter.

Imelda is excited to see both of her parents together approaching her and so she creates space for them but the difference between her and other children of her age is that she leaves a whole big space on her right hand side of the bed and tells them to fit themselves in that position.

Alexa: Baby, don't you want to be in between of us your parents?

Imelda: No, mummy sleep on the same side with Daddy as you read me a story.

Alexa: This is it, I am done with this mischievous daughter of ours I tell you she understands what she is doing.

With this said, Connor bursts out laughing because of Alex's comments hence leaving the home in a jovial mood.
