CHAPTER 14; THE GRAVE OF WEAPONS PT III

CHAPTER 14;

THE GRAVE OF WEAPONS PT IV – FINAL

"Alex, you and your wife have created a monster." Elizabeth said to my dad as he finally snapped out of his trance and sprinted towards me, and got down on his knees, assessing my body like I was a car that needed repair.

"Are you fine son?" He said as he held me tightly, almost chocking the life out of my human body.

"I'm okay dad, I'm good." I said to him, hugging him back as a way to comfort him.

As I opened my eyes, I saw the old man who came with my father, I had read about him before; his name was Dimitrius; the former patriarch of the family and the brother to the former king of the continent, in other words, my grand-uncle [But of course I couldn't let him know that I knew that].

"Dad..." I said, tapping my dad on his back to bring to his attention the fact that there was someone behind us [like the man didn't have good enough senses to literally scout the whole country], "Who's that old man?" I said, pointing at Dimitrius.

"Oh…mphh." My dad began, comporting himself as he gently pulled away from me, "This is your uncle, his name is Dimitrius...and he's really strong…like your dad." My dad said.

'Fuck that, 'like your dad' my foot, that man is like a rabbit compared to that monster of your father.' Kritic said, in a visibly irritated tone.

"And that woman over there is called Elizabeth..." my dad said, pointing at Elizabeth who was also heavily doting on her daughter. I think she was crying.

Elizabeth is the daughter of King Richards; 'THE 4th Dimension' who ruled our neighboring continent – *Vasileio Drakon* and was also the strongest and oldest Dragon in existence and The second strongest creature in the world, being one of the only three being in this world to have achieved {Genesis} – The twelfth and final stage of mana control...as far as the inhabitants of this planet were concerned, the others being my dad and his mother; the Strongest being in this world [Like I said before, this place is filled with OP bastards].

Elizabeth was ranked 6th in the world and was the closest to my father in the house, in terms of strength, earning the nickname 'The Fire'. As far as I knew, she got married to the head of the branch of our family that belonged to guardians [who was also a dragon like herself] and bore a daughter, but I did not know that her daughter was 'Maria', but it now made a lot of sense, since the only was Maria would have chosen to go to the Mana pool that early, would be as a result of her mother advising her.

"Elizabeth is the second-in-command of our house's military unit...and that girl with her is Maria, her daughter." My dad said to me as I continued to act like I didn't already know everything he was saying.

"Anyways..." Dimitrius said, pushing my dad away. "You can experience time at any speed, can't you? even in reverse." Dimitrius bluntly asked me as I nervously just kept on looking at him, acting like I didn't understand a word he said.

My dad quickly came to my rescue as he hit Dimitrius with a light speed attack, causing a dent in the space where he hit and knocking Dimitrius out for a few seconds before he stood back up.

'Monsters.' I simply thought to myself as I witnessed the two op monsters in front of me. From the back, Elizabeth approached us with her daughter as she bowed her head in front of me.

"Thank you." She said to me as my face went red with embarrassment and I bowed down back at her. She looked back up and I could see a soft smile on her face as I could feel my cheeks burn up from how pretty she looked. [Did I also mention that Elizabeth was at least a thousand years old?]

"Th-th-thank you." Maria also said to me before quickly running behind her mother, probably to hide the fact that her face was red with embarrassment.

"But, Alex, your son is truly unique…I'm looking at him and it's like his entire body had fused with mana, its almost like a martial body, but a lot more advanced, the boy is a monster." Elizabeth said to my dad as she looked at me with her dragon eyes.

"What do you mean…monster?" My dad replied as he replied to her, stretching his hands out.

"Yes..." Elizabeth began as Lanre once again appeared from nowhere to hand over my dad's robe as he locked eyes with me and immediately had a questioning expression on his face.

"Is something wrong, Larry?" I asked him innocently as he replied, "You can track my movements here sir, at your level...it's a first…" he then looked at my dad and said, "The young master is quite impressive sir." Before fading out the same way he faded in.

"See?" Elizabeth continued, "Kids like Maria are geniuses, but ones like Henry…just like every child in your family, including you...are monsters."

*

The tragedy of that day was later recorded as a failed attempt at culling the 'Le-Noir' from ground up since it wasn't possible to do it from up [since monsters like my dad existed], as far I was told by my mom, it was done by one of the Northern families but as to which exact one it was, I wasn't told.

I later learnt that a week after that, one of the Northern families called the 'House of shadows' disappeared; every single one of the children, every branch house and even the members of the main family were erased, with no traces as to what happened to them; whether or not they were killed or they all simply went for a vacation and never came back [and the country didn't dare start a federal investigation if they didn't want to go to war with my dad].

At the end of the day, the test of 'the cradle' was held again, but this time, with the help of a supervisor who was there in case another 'tragedy' was to repeat itself, fortunately for me, this meant that I was going to take another dip into the mana pool, unfortunately for me because of the presence of a supervisor, I couldn't absorb as much as I wanted.

Just like my dad said, not a single child except myself and Maria, remember anything from the events of that day; I was taken to the family's psychologist/psychiatrist for a mental evaluation but she found nothing wrong with me and after being asked severally by my parents about 'how the tragedy affected me', they finally decided not to wipe my memory clean.

As for Maria, although it was found that the tragedy did indeed affect her mentally, she refused and vehemently declined anyone tampering with her memories, running away to the save of her mother whenever they tried.

The tests finally ended with no problems and for the first time ever, every child passed. Apparently, this was the case around the continent, with every child or a higher-than-expected number of kids passing the tests with no issues, this phenomenon earned us the titles of the 'Golden Generation' as people everywhere referred to us as a generation of geniuses and monsters.

Finally, the news of how strong I was, or rather of my talent for mana control soon reached the ears of the people of house 'Le-Noir' who were a lot less shocked than I expected they would be [which, like I said, makes sense...my dad probably already shocked them enough in his youth], with of course some minor details being left out [like the fact that I can experience time at speeds faster than light].

I soon began basic physical training for martial arts, because of the gloves that I picked and my method of mana control that looked similar to a 'Martial Body' [and the fact that all the first children in the family turned out to be martial artists], the gloves I picked, apparently belonged to my grandmother, 'Sandra Le-Noir', who stopped using them after reaching the tenth stage. They were called 'the God killers' and had the ability to condense mana and deliver blows that ignored physical defense once the wearer reached the eight-stage.

Later that year, my mom got pregnant and the family celebrated the news with a get together for every member of the family, it was the first family event I attended and the beginning of my sorrows [because after the news of my abilities got out, I began to receive several party invites that I could not decline, from the patriarchs of very powerful families who wanted to betroth me to their daughters].

And so like that, five years passed and I was now twelve years old.
