Chapter 62 - Rescue.

Tatsuya, Xiao Ning'Er, Ziyun were standing at the foot of the mountain looking at the lights halfway up; Yu Yan was with Miyuki, Shen Xiu, and Yang Xin.

They had gone to collect more information about the settlement in front.

Ziyun sat down, pouting, "They are taking too much time!!"

Ning'Er glanced towards the lights, "Maybe security is too tight; it is taking the time to avoid those."

Ziyun also looked at the lights, "Isn't that too much security?"

"That just means they have enemies, could be these monsters, could be other settlements." Tatsuya wondered if this security was for just monsters. But, seeing so many lights, he felt that was too tight a security for just monsters. The way those thunderbirds were arranged wasn't like one would lay out if they were guarding against enemies from the outside. It would be more like security along the edge of the settlement.

Ziyun widened her eyes with surprise, "Will they fight amongst themselves?" She thought people trapped here were allies; she couldn't imagine that they would fight against themselves.

Xiao Ning'Er had a sad look on her face; she had seen wars in Garuda's memories, much scarier battles. Otherwise, she would be like Ziyun, thinking that they wouldn't fight against them. She wondered if it would be better to be like Ziyun, not suspecting anything.

Tatsuya glanced at Ziyun before glancing at the front, "They are back," he couldn't use elemental sight freely, that doesn't mean he stopped 'seeing' Miyuki.

Tatsuya nodded, "What do you think, should we interact with them?"

Tatsuya shook his head, "We are outsiders; we are still not sure if they are being protected by an expert."

Miyuki had a bright smile, "We can just save the boy, The boy would know everything we need to know."

Tatsuya sighed with a smile, "Fine, we don't need so many people who will be the rescue party?"

Shen Xiu raised her hand, "Just to be safe, a legend rank going together would be good."

Ning'Er and Ziyun looked at each other and then raised their hands together with sparkling eyes, shouted loudly, "We should get the chance to go!!!"

Tatsuya glanced at them before looking at Miyuki, who had a warm smile on her face, "Then Shen Xiu, Ziyun, Ning'Er, Miyuki will be the rescue party. I, Yang Xin and Yu Yan will make a place for us to stay the night."

Miyuki tilted her head, "Yes, we will be back soon."

Tatsuya, Yang Xin, and Yu Yan gazed at them leaving.

Yang Xin glimpsed at him, "Are you sure letting them go?"

Yu Yan also gazed at him, "I thought you would go yourself."

Tatsuya was contemplating something, "It is better if Miyuki goes, We should think about how to build a place to stay."

Tatsuya took out nomads tent from his ring, "I brought few tents with me, They should be good enough for resting; we just need to place an array for camouflage."

Yang Xin face was glowing, "I found these raw stones they were mining; I am going to see if they have some use." She was jumping with joy with her findings; this place had many different resources. Many might be useful for Alchemy.

Yu Yan was fidgeting a little, "Can I help with something?" She was embarrassed, just sitting around/

Tatsuya pointed in a direction, "Keep an eye and make sure no one is coming."

Yu Yan gazed at him, nodding, "Leave that to me."

Seeing Yu Yan flying in the sky, Yang Xin glanced at Tatsuya with a sweet smile on her face, "You called me by my name."

Tatsuya who was kneeling on the ground laying array paused, "Right, sorry, it slipped my mouth."

Yang Xin walked in front of him before holding his face with both her hands and making him look up, "Call me by my name."

Near the palace,

Miyuki, Ziyun, Ning'Er, and Shen Xiu were hiding, look at the security.

Shen Xiu was tapping her foot, "How are we going to infiltrate that? are we doing this quietly or directly infiltrate?"

Xiao Ning'Er raised her hand, "I can raise a storm? that could distract others and give us enough time to rescue the boy."

Ziyun's eyes shined, hearing that, "Or I can create some mist?"

Miyuki gazed towards the palace deep in thought, "Frontal assault, if we do it secretly, then they would be suspicious of everyone. Maybe even torture those miners or vent their anger on them. A frontal assault would be better; letting them know our faces would make it easier for them to search for us."

Shen Xiu frowned, hearing that, "What if there is an expert behind them?"

Miyuki paused, "Right, that slipped my mind." her thoughts were more along the lines of not letting people get hurt because of their rescue mission. After being dropped in Divine Continent, they always had a fixed mindset, which was how to help the people. Thinking about the people first had almost become her habit now.

It wouldn't be strange if this place was like Glory City, this family would be answering to someone who controlled the whole area. They might call for reinforcement if they identified them as intruders.

Miyuki thought of Genjutsu's she had bought and converted into soul force technique. Although they were costly, her forte was mental interference technique. When she used a genjutsu's, she made them even more powerful.

"I have a technique; it could buy us some time; first, we must immobilize the guards in the surrounding. Then, I will use that technique on the people inside. Shen Xiu, use that time to free him." Miyuki gazed at them. She looked at Ziyun and Ning'Er, "It's on you two to immobilize the guards; can you do it silently?"

Ziyun looked at her with gleaming eyes, "We didn't go through Tatsuya-ge's torture for nothing. Killing demon beasts silently; was the first thing we learned."

Ning'Er pumped her fist, "Don't worry, I have some neat tricks under my sleeves."

Miyuki nodded; she glanced at Shen Xiu before silently jumping towards the palace using small footholds on trees to climb higher.

Shen Xiu also followed her.

Ziyun and Ning'Er, who were left, looked towards the enemies. There weren't many guards outside the palace, only two on each side of the door. More Guards would be waiting for them inside.

"Do you want to do it together?." Ziyun asked.

Ning'Er glanced at the landscape, "You want to use that?"

Ziyun nodded, "Yes, We can't hide anywhere using that would be the best."

A smile appeared on Ning'Er's face, "then together?"

At this moment, The Guards were? Well, Guarding the Palace entrance.

"This sucks, I'd rather be inside whipping the kid." One of the guards said while frowning.

"Haha...you need to have good luck for it."

"Right!!..." Suddenly, the guard was speaking, but there was no sound.

Suddenly their faces turned grave; they couldn't breathe. But they had a sturdy body that could easily survive a few minutes without breathing even when they were caught off guard.

An ice mist started to surround them; they tried to punch or slap the ice mist away, but moving in this dense environment was strenuous. Even when the guards were able to push away, the ice mist came right back.

Slowly, their bodies started freezing till the point they couldn't move anymore.

Ning'Er looked at the distance where the guards were trapped in a ball of white mist. She controlled the wind and forcefully stopping any movement in the air molecules. This made it so that no voice or noise traveled, those inside the wall couldn't breathe, and above all, the smell of the blood didn't travel. It also helped her keep Ziyun's ice mist inside an area, making it much more effective. Otherwise, anyone could blow away the ice mist with one punch.

This was the first technique Tatsuya taught her. Although she didn't understand the complete mechanics of the trick, she knew how to use it.

A delighted smile appeared on their face, "We did it!!!!"

Ziyun hugged Ning'Er tightly, "Yes!!!"

When they were celebrating, Miyuki and Shen Xiu were walking at the center of a large bright hall. Guards stood at both sides, but they had vacant eyes.

Shen Xiu looked at the scene while raising eyebrows, "If you could do this, then was there a need to leave the girls behind?"

Miyuki tucked her hair behind her hairs looking towards the throne room, "Children have to grow up someday."

Shen Xiu's mouth twitched; she wanted to say, you are also a child. But, she had been with her long enough and hadn't seen her act like a child.
