"huff, huff", I could hear the countdown nearing zero as I thundered down the road towards the hill. Then the voice over the speakers said in a monotone voice 7., 6.,5 I started to speed up tumbling down the hill as I rolled then flew towards my dome it was already starting to close. 4.., 3.,2. Before it reached one I took off my backpack and threw it under my domes metal door as it slid shut, and I came face to face with a closed door, my door I gently slapped the wall and thought to myself how could I get distracted like that and let myself lose all that time. Well at least all the information I had stolen was safe. I guess I should start heading towards the hut it's been 3 yrs since I've been there.

Three weeks earlier

I pulled my snap back lower as I tucked my chin as I continued to walk past my fellow Fae down the street. Also, Grateful for the fact that I didn't have fae ears. Then I realized that wasn't a good thing the only people in my part of town who didn't have fae ears were the dark ones and the kid's younger than me. The doctors say that it may be a result of trauma due to my family's sudden death. And that my body just doesn't want to change, I call call bullshit because I want to change. Even though I can still run almost as fast as the other fae without shifting and I have good fighting skills to make up for what I lack in fae form doesn't mean I gave up on trying to shift. The doctors say that shifting is fueled by emotions so like a person can shift when angry, sad, or even while they are getting their shebang on. But anyway, none of those things work for me nothing I sits for hours trying to shift the only reason I want to shift despite all I have without my fae form is so I can use magic.

We fae have a lot of perks. Like healing fast. Speed agility, and beauty obviously. But we also have magic not all of us but many do. The ones that do have magic are put in the night watchers which is my goal. The purpose of the night watchers is to watch the night like it says in their name. so, what's so important about watching the night. well it's not some lil old neighborhood. The night watchers well they protects us from the dark ones(goblins). Why, well grab a cup of tea and take a seat you're in for a story? A long time ago we all used to live together fae and goblins. there was a fae queen and a goblin king, together they ruled fairly they weren't married or anything the each had a spouse. But they were the strongest of their kind so they ruled. Then one night a messenger came running to the goblin king telling him that his son and his family had been slaughtered in their sleep while he was resolving a conflict with the fae queen they were always at each other's necks these days so he instantly accused the queen.

The queen angered dismissed the meeting telling him to go grieve for his family then to calmly think about what he said and that he should choose his words wisely. Then a couple hours later the meeting room started to freeze over. the fae queen burst into the room all the governors and the goblin king immediately started to shield themselves but she was already in the goblin kings face yelling "I told you I didn't kill your family, but instead of believing me you killed mine instead, my beautiful daughter had just turned 16 "you took away my loving husband the only one who could contain and hold back all the evil and dark magic I had". I have no idea what you're talking about yelled the goblin king but the fae queen wasn't having it so she is destroying the castle until only rubble was left she stepped towards the goblin king and lifted some rubble off him and said. "you will never see the sunshine again since you have taken mine from me, I banish you to the underworld you and your people will never be seen in the daylight again this law is effective immediately."

That's when things started changing the fae and goblin started fighting the fae won the war and the goblins were banished to the underworld but the queen still had mercy considering the goblin king used to be her friend so she made a deal the fae would take 12 hours of the day and the goblins would take 12 hours of the night. The agreement was signed and a treaty was made that no fae shall be out at night while it was the goblins 12 hours if no goblin walked among fae during their 12 hours. So, domes were made they are basically little apartments that immediately start to close once the 12 hours are up. The goblins live in special marked domes that are also made from goblin resistant metal so the basically can't get out during the day.

the night kings palace is also made from the same material it's like a whole city covered under a dome during the day. But they queen didn't completely trust the goblin king so she made a squad full of elite faes who stayed up at night to patrol the area making sure that weren't any faes out during the night or any goblins trying to kill faes.so that's the story of why were all separate now. But what my number one priority is, that I make sure I get into the night watchers and find the goblin night gang that preys on faes who got locked out Just like my parents were that night. I need to avenge my family's death.

I was shaken out of my thoughts as someone bumped into me I almost punched them until I felt something in my hands, a note I walked three more blocks before reading the note

"there will be new information about the king's personal guard's positions 2 weeks from now

Get it and maybe I can convince the night watchers to let you in as a messenger don't let me down Claire "

Finally, this was my chance to get into the night watchers thank you Marcius I won't let you down I swear it on anderius. this will be easy peasy break into the goblin kings castle and steal the info then get out no problem, right?
