POWER UNLEASHED 10
Somewhere outside the school, Hannah and some students were busy inviting people to come for the orientation.
She wanted the hall to be full, to the extent that the crowds would reach outside too.
Hannah was facing some people that she gathered. She gave them some goodies from the castle and said, "Pls come tomorrow. We'll love to see all of you".
The people were pleased by this.
One of Hannah's friends came to meet her.
"Hannah..",the girl called.
Hannah turned to look at the girl.
"Why are we giving the people goody bags?
And why are we inviting them to the orientation?
On our time it wasn't like that",the girl asked.
Hannah sighed, acting as if her friend was disturbing her.
She smiled at someone passing and said, "That was our time. But this time, the Golden castle is on a higher level. And this is the time for us to shine".
She gives a man a bag.
"Her aim is to show the whole Nigerians that we are ready for anything. All the rumours they are spreading about the Golden castle is nothing but a fallacy. And the goody bags, is just to lure them into our school. Everyone loves free stuffs",she scoffs.
The girl understood and praised their head mistress.
The students kept on inviting people and sharing goody bags for them.
There was a car parked at the other side of the street. The person inside was one of the authorities from the Golden city education office.
He was watching this.
"So she has gone to the extent of sharing things for people.
Very smart Elizabeth, very smart".
A student came to meet him with a goody bag, and he rejected it.
Back at the castle, the girls where at the store room. They wanted to continue with the cleaning.
Cleaning up the store room only made them furious with Ella and Hannah.
The thought of pouncing on them and breaking their bones, filled their head.
"Oh,i can't wait to burn those girls face. They would have received a little punishment from me, but now that I've got powers, I'll roast them",Ganiyat said.
The others sat down on a table, thinking about what to do.
"I just can't wait to get over with this cleaning ",Adeola said,swinging her legs front and back.
"According to my calculation, if Ella and Hannah hadn't done this to us, there's a possibility that we would have never found the Alphas hideout, or even gotten these powers",Gracious said.
The others had to agree with her.
If not for those witches, they wouldn't have gotten their powers.
Faith cane in through the the store room door.
She had opened it a little, when she heard the girls talking.
"I've never felt so happy like this in my life.
Maybe it's because we have powers",Treasure said, feeling emotional.
Blessing then said, looking at all of them, "I've always wanted to have powers.
Anytime I write my stories, I always feel so emotional. As if I'm the one with the power.
But now.., I know how it feels to have a power of your own".
Faith was listening to them.
She could understand how they were feeling. It's just like the Alphas. They too were excited like this.
But now she was worried about what the girls would say, or how they'll react when they hear that Almoron is coming.
So, she decided to enter.
The girls saw her and smiled at her.
"Welcome grandma Faith, welcome ",Ife and Abigail welcomed her.
They made her sit on the table comfortably, and treated her well.
"You good looking woman. I must say, you're such a beautiful old woman. It's true",Christiana praised her.
"You've helped us in such a short time to take control of our powers. And we're grateful for it",Blessing said, holding her hand.
The others smiled.
Faith was touched.
That's when Christiana said, pounding her hands together, "And this is the time to teach some brats some sweet lesson".
"Yeah!! ",the others cheered and laughed.
Faith was looking at their faces.
She couldn't help but think of what the girls would say.
Ganiyat noticed Faith's mood.
She then asked, "Is everything alright Faith? ".
She looked at Faith.
Treasure thought she was worried that they'll kill Ella and Hannah.
Then she said to her, "No no Faith, we won't kill them. We'll only service then with beating".
Christiana scoffed and repeated, "Beating. I love that word".
That's when Faith opened her mouth and told them
"Almoron is coming".
On hearing that, the girls became shocked.
"What?!"
The girls couldn't believe their ears.
Faith could see that the girls were shocked on hearing this.
She sighed and said, "I know that this is shocking to hear and unexpected too"
"How... How's this possible?
She's really coming?
As in for real?",Ife panicked.
This was indeed shocking.
"How did you know that Almoron is coming ?
How.. How come? ",Blessing asked, looking worried.
Faith then said, standing up from the table, "I saw one of her demon hiding outside the gate.
I was shocked when I saw this. It only means that Almoron is coming.
But.. But I know you girls are able to stop her"
"We?
Stop her?
No.. no, I don't know if we are ready to fight",Abigail said.
She didn't agree with Faith on this.
"Listen girls, I understand how you girls must be feeling now.
You have been chosen by the Crystal to protect everyone. You... "
She places her hand on Blessing's shoulder, while looking at all of them
"You girls only got your powers yesterday,.. and today, you're already controlling it as if it's not that hard to control.
You girls quickly grabbed immediately.
You amazed me.
And I'm confident that you girls will defeat Almoron "
"It's true that we were able to grab fast,because we wanted to. You yourself said it that, we were able to find our inner peace and control our powers, because we were determined. But... ",Treasure becomes silent.
They weren't expecting this.
Faith tried to persuade the girls, not to be worried or scared.
"Girls Pls listen.
I know you girls can do this. I believe in you".
Silent, the girls didn't reply.
Gracious looked at the time and said, In a dull tone of voice, "We have to go to the cafeteria now. Time has gone ".
"We'll see you later.We want to go and eat",Blessing said.
Slowly, the girls stood up and left the store room.
Faith could understand the girls. The news of Almoron has shaken them.
They weren't expecting this kind of news at all.
They were worried.
At the cafeteria, some female teachers were checking out some items, which they were going to use to cook and entertain the invitees tomorrow.
"This orientation is going to be the best.
This would be the first orientation that we'll invite people to come and see",one of the teachers said.
They were pleased and glad that the Golden castle was on another level. And it would move from the level it's in to another greater one.
But the work of cooking and preparing the food, didn't please some of them.
Francis, the president of the science department,came by to drop some things that the teachers needed.
One of his friends had escorted him there, since he insisted.
"We just have only five hours to complete our work. Then we'll be able to rest",Francis said to his friend.while they headed towards the entrance.
"Bro, see as they are cutting the meat with so much passion.
I wish I could join them, so as to feel this passion as well",his friend said. Licking his tongue and facing back.
Francis hissed and said, "Passion indeed.
Okay,.. Why don't you go and meet them and tell them that you have passion for the meat. Then you'll tell them if your mates are there"
When they stepped out of the cafeteria, Francis received a missed call from someone. He brought out his phone to check,and continued to work.
Before he knew it, Francis accidentally bumped into someone. Allowing both his phone and the person's phone to drop down hard to the ground.
"Sorry, sorry.
I'm so sorry ",he apologized.
He quickly bent down to pick it, and stood up to give the person his or her own phone.
"Here is your phone ",he said.
Francis looked at the person that he was giving the phone to, and he became dumbstruck.
It was Abigail.
She and the others were entering the cafeteria. And that's when Francis bumped into her.
Francis couldn't say anything. He was speechless.
"Who's she? ",he asked himself from within. Abigail took the phone without looking at his face. Then she thanked him and entered the cafeteria.
Francis kept on staring at her, while she walked away from his side.
He was lost.
"I've never seen her before. She's.. She's so pretty ",he thought.
Lost in thoughts, Francis friend bumped him on the shoulder.
"Bro,what happened? ",his friend asked.
Francis looked at him, then back at the cafeteria.
He couldn't see Abigail again. She had gone inside.
"Francis Wetin happen na?
You just dey look that girl like say na spirit"
"Sorry",Francis apologized and faced his friend.
"Let's go ",he said and walked.
He couldn't stop thinking about Abigail. Her pretty and innocent face had struck him hard, that he couldn't help it.
He asked his friend, "Em.. That girl that I bumped into,.. have you seen her before?
Do you have any idea on who she is? "
"Me I don't know o
Maybe she's among the new students ",his friend said.
They kept on walking, when Francis phone rang. He checked it and saw that it was Ella calling.
He wanted to pick it, but it got disconnected.
"I wonder why Ella is calling me",he said.
His friend began to tease him. He called Ella, Francis girlfriend.
Francis laughed and said, "Pls!!... She's not my girlfriend o
She's only a friend ".
Just then, she sent a text message. Telling him to see her at the hall.
Francis decided to see her, since he and his friend weren't in a hurry. So they headed for the hall.
Meanwhile, the girls sat down with their food in front of them. They were silent.
They couldn't even eat their food.All because of one person.
"Faith has so much trust in us.
She believes that we can defeat Almoron ",Gracious said, while playing with the spoon.
Treasure sighed and said, "We all know that she has tried for us.
In a short period, we... "
She pauses and looks round. Then she continues with a low voice, "..we were able to control our powers. That's why Faith has this believe that we can fight Almoron"
"It's not as if I don't want to save people from Almoron. The problem is the fear in me.
We only figured out our powers yesterday. We were able to grab fast. But.. I don't think we're ready for this",Blessing said with doubt on her mind.
The girls were confused on what to do.
"When Faith was telling us about the history and everything that happened,.. I was excited, because it sounded like a story. But.. But now it's real",Adeola said.Rubbing her forehead.
Christiana folded her arms and said, "What I'm afraid of... is loosing"
They looked at her.
"You remembered what she said about the Alphas.
They were know for protecting the people. Which shows that they had stayed long with their powers.Saving everyone before Almoron came and destroyed them "
"I think we understand your point clearly.
We only got our powers in a short time. Learnt how to master it in a short time. And now, we're hearing that Almoron is coming,.. In such a short time, when we haven't even practiced or trained ourselves well.
It's like saying that we're going to be goners,just like the Alphas",Abigail pointed out.
The girls were helpless.
"But I feel so sorry for Faith",Ife said with a sad tone of voice.
Ganiyat sighed and said ,"She has laid her trust in us. We.. We can't let her down at this time. She need us".
The others agreed.
But that fear of loosing, or dying, scared them.
Her coming has weaken them.
