Chapter 31

*In the car*

Shiyi is unusually silent and not saying a word. She kept silently looking outside the window throughout the ride.

He took a glance at her quite a few times but not a single time she noticed on the top that she kept exhaling while thinking about something very deeply.

He frowned seeing her in a bad mood , a million questions were passing through his mind but he didn't dare to ask. He gently pressed her hand which was clenching her dress over and over again.

" Are you okay? " He asked in a gentle consoling tone. She flinched with the sudden movement cause she was not paying attention to anything at all.

She smiled at him even when she was looking absolutely exhausted , " nothing I'm fine ."

She rested her head on his shoulder , " Let me stay like this for a while. " He slowly caressed her cheek and pulled her closer in his warm embrace. She leaned more in his embrace while cuddling him like a child.

" I had fun today . I loved to meet you family."
