Afterword from Kuro Kaen: End of Volume 1

Welp, this is the end of volume one. Now, I bet you're wondering (or maybe you're not): Why are you remaking this series? You have two others you haven't worked on it a while, and the original is already so far ahead.

Welp, to answer your question: I didn't like it.

That's it. I'm not lying. I just didn't like the way I wrote it. I felt that I didn't spend enough time in the world that Hiro arrives in to really justify its existence and the impact it left on Hiro. Hell, the original Hopeless Hero, now titles "The Hopeless Hiro: Draft" feels way to rushed on many parts of the story. Well, until you get the it's current arc, which I had a blast writing!

It's weird though. Even when I had everything planned out for this volume, I still ended up changing so many things. Like for one: Did you know that I was originally gonna kill Rosary off completely? Well, I got to thinking and decided: Nah, that's stupid. I'll slowly flesh her character out more instead of rushing her and just slashing her name of the series completely.

I'm glad I went with that. Now I can spend much more time with her character instead of having to rush her story completely and then get rid of her. She's actually kinda grown on me after all the ideas about her came to mind.

Oh, by the way, have any of you pointed out the references to some stuff I made in the story?! Points to whoever gets the reference I made in the chapter where we first meet Rosary (I believe it was called "Basics")! Please do let me know! Also, please do write a review and let me know what you think so far! Veeeeery curious.

For those of you who've read the original Hopeless Hero, what do you guys think? You like this remade version so far? Or are you just waiting until I get back to writing the story at the part where I stopped (sorry sorry sorry!!!)?

I was gonna wait until tomorrow to write the Epilogue, but I decided to just go ahead and write it up as well considering I spend way too long updating these chapters (sorry sorry sorry!!!). It's also 3:19 in the morning as I'm writing this and I have work at 2 in the afternoon, so I should probably wrap this up really quick. I don't exactly have names to thank at the moment, but I hope to at some point in the future. For now, I'll just thank all you guys for giving this remake a chance. Whether you're new to The Hopeless Hiro, or you came here after reading the original, I thank you guys regardless!

Until then, I'll see you guys in the next volume!
