The First Fight

After Akiol was teleported he took a look at his quest.

[The King's Curiosity]

The Slime King has taken an interest in you, requesting your appearance after you have evolved.

Objective: Evolve and meet up with the Slime King

Akiol expected as much, the king was straightforward after all. Closing the quest menu Akiol took a look at his surroundings. He was teleported into a lush forest. It was a beautiful sight, but there was only plants as far as he could see. Using an ancient tactic of choosing direction from his previous world, Akiol tossed and spun his sword. It landed with the tip pointing to the right, without hesitation Akiol picked up his sword and walked the way fate has lead him.

He walked for an hour, it was quite surprising that there was no monsters. How was one supposed to level up around here? Continuing forward he passed through a bush and found a clearing on the other side. There was a small group of 5 people. When Akiol spotted them, the group spotted Akiol.

They quickly turned their weapons towards him. A warrior, or what Akiol assumed the persons class was, spoke up, "Hey punk! You're not welcome here!"

Akiol then questioned, "Why is that?"

"Because this forest is reserved for the Moon's Shadow guild!"

"How and why?"

"You don't get to ask the questions here! You have two options, leave immediately or die."

One thing a person should know about Akiol, is that he hated ultimatums. A lack of choice infuriated him. Remaining calm Akiol then challenged, "I think I will pass on that offer. I don't know your guild or you, so why should I listen?"

"Ha! Who hasn't heard of our legendary Moon's Shadow guild? It's the number one guild in the Red Bush village!"

Red Bush village? That sounded very lame, even Akiol, who had a poor naming sense, thought it was bad.

"Sorry, doesn't ring a bell."

"Then we will have to get violent, get him boys!"

And with a cry 3 of the 5 rushed toward Akiol, quickly Akiol attempted to identify their class. One seemed to be a warrior due to the sword he was wielding, another a berserker with his large axe, the final one had no weapon, so Akiol assumed he was a pugilist.

The warrior was the first to strike swinging his sword downwards towards Akiol's head. Akiol saw the obvious movements with his windup and side-stepped the swing. The berserker swung diagonally towards Akiol's left shoulder, bending back and stepping back dodging the attack. The pugilist kicked towards Akiol's head, this time Akiol couldn't dodge, for he wasn't fast enough. The pugilist's kick landed on the back of Akiol's head causing him to stumble forward, however no damage was dealt!

The reasoning for this is behind his slime body! Every slime has a weak point called a core, a visible dot in the middle of their bodies. Any evolved slime could move this core, but Akiol could not for he was a lesser slime, however his usage of [Form] caused his core to be invisible, hidden beneath the fake clothing. His current core was in the same place as a heart would. Thus the pugilist's kick only startled him, nothing more.

The pugilist was stunned that no damage was dealt to Akiol, this chance was not to be wasted by Akiol. He then swung his sword behind him slicing at the chest of the pugilist, using the momentum he spun as swung toward the warrior. The warrior saw this and went for a block. It would have succeeded but Akiol kicked his knee, causing him to be distracted the sword then connected with his enemy.

The trio were stunned that Akiol could manage to attack in such a situation, this didn't last long however as they once again attacked. Akiol then used [Leap] and jumped above them, the three looked to the sky instantly being blinded by the sun. Akiol the spun several times as he fell and carved into the pugilist.

<Critical Hit! -50 hp>

The pugilist crashed onto his knees. The berserker, infuriated that this beginner looking individual was trashing them, used his skill [Slash].

[Slash: Increases the users damage and attack speed by 10% for one attack. Cost: 10 MP Cooldown: 30 seconds]

Akiol saw this attack and blocked it with his sword, however the strength advantage a berserker had was not to be underestimated, as Akiol blocked it he was sent flying towards a tree!

Clang!

<Blocked! -15 hp>

One might wonder how he took damage if his core wasn't hit, this was due to the system. Blocking an attack that had a greater strength advantage would deal damage no matter what. This did not bother Akiol however, for he still had 135 HP left.

Akiol then twisted his body mid-air and landed on the side of the tree. Using [Leap] he jumped towards the berserker, gliding through the air at an incredible speed. The berserker attempted to block whatever attack was coming his way. Akiol never swung his sword however, he instead knee'd the berserker in the face, causing him to fall back.

Akiol followed through with his attack and landed with the berserker on the ground, rolling to recover he then saw a sword swinging his way. Akiol jerked backwards and the sword simply cut his nose a bit. The cut then mended together like nothing happened, the warrior didn't notice this however and followed through with another swing. Akiol then swung his sword to match the warriors blade.

Clang~!

The strength difference wasn't much so the two stopped when their blades met, Akiol then rushed towards, sliding his blade across the warriors sword he then punched the warrior in the face.

Akiol followed up by swinging his sword towards the warrior, but was kicked behind the knee by the pugilist! Akiol subconsciously forgot about the pugilist, due to his experience of people dying when nearly cleaved in half. His inexperience when it came to fighting in the game had caused this mistake. Once Akiol stumbled, the pugilist kicked him in the chest, right where his weak point was!

Not only did the attack do a lot of damage but it also sent Akiol sliding across the dirt.

For the first time ever, he cursed his weakness. Due to the system limiting a persons ability with stats, Akiol was much weaker and slower than he was in his past life, the unfamiliarity with his current body caused most of the mistakes in the battle.

Standing up he glared at the trio, who were smirking. The other warrior in the back, the one who ordered the attack, then mocked, "Aw, cmon now! You should've expected this, after all you messed with Moon's Shadow! Hahaha!"

Glancing at the laughing warrior Akiol was shocked to see it was only him. That's right there was someone missing! Akiol quickly scanned his surroundings, but could not see the fifth individual anywhere. This meant two things. First, the fifth person ran to get backup, however this was unlikely due to the messaging system that was in the game. This only left the second choice, the fifth person was a thief in stealth.

Coming to this conclusion Akiol then quickly spun and swung his sword behind him, slicing into the thief's neck.

<Bleeding caused: user affected with this will lose 5hp a second>

The thief was shocked, "H-how?!". Before he could say anything more he was kicked in the chest and fell backwards. Akiol then retreated to the side, now having all five people in front of him. Having a stare-off Akiol watched their movements carefully. Just as the original trio were about to charge a voice rang out.

"Halt!"
