The Heretic Sword God

The Heretic Sword God, The One Who Betrayed All, The Thousand-Faced God, The Jester's Blade... These were all names given to one person by the masses; Khoru. But, that's too far into the future. Let's start at Khoru's beginning, his start on the path to both supreme and unparalleled strength, and godhood... Khoru, originally someone from a distant planet known as Kale Planet, perished and reincarnated on another planet. In his next life, Khoru realized that there was a drastic difference between the two worlds. This world had supernatural powers. The people of this world could awaken supernatural beings known as 'Martial Spirits' at the age of 12. Not only would these beings aid people in their cultivation, they could even provide people with magical items or abilities. Khoru just so happened to be born into a small noble family in Yellow Apple Town; The Ghostly Blade Family. They were a noble family full of sword fanatics. It was said that each member of the family would awaken a weapon type, almost always a sword-type, Martial Spirit. They were all extremely powerful as well. So now, not only did Khoru have to survive in a supernatural world where death was as common as eating, he also had to live up to the expectations of his overbearing family... And even worse, he was born as the illegitimate son of one of the supreme elders of the family! Fear not though, because Khoru won't fold under pressure so easily! = = = = = [Cover does not belong to me, I only edited it a bit.]

This Devil Is Too Strong!

"Mother, I'm going to the courtyard."

"Alright, be safe. Even though it's our own private courtyard, I won't be surprised if someone tries to attack you." Xin Xuan informed Khoru before sending him off.

Khoru went to the private courtyard with the two manuals he got from the library. He summoned both his Martial Spirits, causing the air around them to gently fluctuate.

He read over the information regarding the sword-art and struck both his swords into the ground. Then, he sat in the lotus position with each hand lifted in front of each sword. He closed his eyes and began circulating his Spirit Qi in accordance to the manual.

"So somehow I have to imbue both my swords with Yin and Yang energies..." Khoru made sure to reread the information inside the manual to try and grasp it.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for him to grasp everything.

He suddenly opened his eyes and grasped both blades at once and swung them in succession. They weaved through the air, making a humming sound as they flew by. Both swords left behind yin or yang trails.

The blue sword possessed the Yin-trail, or rather the powers of yin energy that provided it with a strong chilling aura as well as a dark aura. The purple sword possessed the yang-trail and its powers, imbuing the sword with various qualities and power.

The swords' powers were enhanced once the technique was activated, and they caused the air to bend at certain angles during certain strokes. Before this, Khoru didn't know a thing about true sword fighting, but the more he practiced the sword-art, the more insight he received.

His rookie swings and attacks slowly turned in the strokes of a veteran who had practiced the Air Collapsing Yin-Yang Sword-Art for years.

Each swing began to bend the air and make a humming sound until finally, Khoru wielded both swords and placed them together. He pulled them apart, unleashing a strong and powerful wind made completely of yin and yang energies.

After doing that, Khoru knelt on the ground with bean-sized sweat bullets running down his face and the rest of his body. His chest rose up and down at a quickened pace and he let go of the swords, which lied on the ground silently.

"Haa...Haa...Ha...This sword-art...is powerful!" A fire burned in Khoru's eyes, signifying his delight and excitement. He didn't like to be baby-fed power and knowledge, and preferred learning it himself through hard-work.

He was a battle maniac, plain and simple.

Khoru rested for an hour or so after completing the entire set of moves and finally recovered his stamina. That sword-art had taken a lot out of him, and since he hadn't cultivated his body yet, the sword-art drained him.

"Now it's time for this horrid technique..." Khoru gulped in anxiousness before opening the 4 Devils Body Strengthening manual. His eyes scanned the information inside of it before he closed it and assumed the lotus position again.

This time, he held his arms out forward as if he was begging for something. Then, by circulating his Spirit Qi in accordance to the way in the manual, a domain covered a 10-meter-radius around Khoru.

His surroundings completely changed from a peaceful courtyard to a ghastly nether land located in a horrid realm. The grass changed from bright green to dark red and purple, and the soil turned into charred black.

Furthermore, the sun changed into a bloody moon that miraculously dripped scarlet blood and the atmosphere was dark red. There were no clouds, and Khoru's body seemed to have been locked up.

His hands were restrained with strong chains, as well as the rest of his body, which was propped into the lotus position with his back stretched forward.

Khoru's breathing remained the same, but an inkling of severe anxiousness had sprouted in his mind.

He watched as a devil, two sizes of a human, slowly approached him from the front. He carried a giant ghastly black and red hammer that crushed the air around it. The grass withered wherever the hammer hovered over.

The demon was muscular and its skin was black and red, like the hammer, and its eyes were glowing red. It had a terrifying smile plastered upon its face as it approached Khoru with delight in its eyes as well.

Khoru held his composure tightly and waited patiently for the devil to arrive.

Finally, it arrived before him and walked to the right side of his body and lifted the hammer to the sky.

'The manual said that the demons you summon are based on your personal strength and potential...' Khoru recalled some of the information inside the manual and silently hoped that his potential was trash, at least just for now.

SMASH-

The hammer came crashing down unexpectedly, almost completely snapping Khoru's back in two. Khoru's expression turned grim as he suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood that came rushing from his chest.

He could clearly feel the bones in his body about to snap in two, all they needed was one more strike and they would shatter.

Khoru then realized how serious the practicing of the technique was. He thought he might've been able to power through the torturing of the devils, but fate really didn't favor him.

Fate matched him up against a behemoth demon who used a hammer to smash him to pieces!

'E-Even though the devil is just a construction of my Spirit Qi and the technique doing its work, this pain couldn't be more real!' Khoru held back his screams and his skin turned a few shades paler.

This is the price you must pay for strength!

I won't back down too early!

Khoru's expression forcefully subsided and he held his breath and continued to circulate his Spirit Qi. His chest painfully rose up and down in order to absorb air.

The devil didn't wait and lifted his hammer into the air again, and brought it down with all its strength.

The hammer came crashing down like god's palm on a damned world!
