‘’When mortals die, their grievances and unwillingness are the last thing that linger. Their souls will then go to the vast sky and become the stars that guide those they left behind through the darkness of the night.” Said the woman to the child on her lap. She and the child were gazing at the endless night, the cold wind caressing their skin. “But mother” the child looked at the woman embracing her “what about father’s kind? Would they also be stars when they die? How about you?” The woman smiled then gently tousling the girl’s hair “You know xiao yue, not all existence are the same. There are certain kinds who does not belong here but somewhere else. But no matter where or what, always remember, me and your father will always be by your side.” the woman stared the girl’s eyes gently conveying her utmost love and tenderness, she then lifted her finger and pointed towards the little girl’s heart “we will always be right here. Chapter 1: The Ampenth Star

Ying Yue was walking to her hover car when her terminal beeped indicating that someone wanted to connect and talk to her. She picked up her pace, entered the hover car then started the automatic driving system before answering the call.

"Yue'er where are you? I was looking for you since yesterday!" a sweet womanly voice drifted unto Ying Yue's ear which made her smile warmly.

"I'm sorry fei'er, I was a little busy lately and was not able to find you these past few days." Fei Hong was the daughter of the left prime minister and she has been friends with Ying Yue since they were young.

Being a half goddess, Ying Yue was able to manipulate her structure, bones and height to resemble whatever she wanted, being a child was something very easy for her as she was able to practice it for thousands of years.

When humanity entered the interstellar era, Ying Yue manipulated herself to be a child no more than 7 years old then took up an orphan identity to live by for another century or so. She hid in an abandoned continent then waited for the rescue.

When she was rescued by the military soldiers, she was taken to the empire star and was sent to an orphanage. There they were taken care of not as a child but as future soldiers that have the responsibility to take care of the empire.

One day the daughter of the left prime minister went to the orphanage to go look for a playmate. That was when they met. And until now they were still friends.

Fei Hong was the only person she probably cared about in this era.

"-er, yue-er! Are you listening?" Fei Hong said in a sulking voice.

"Sorry fei'er I was lost in my thoughts and wasn't able to hear you" Ying Yue smiled and tried to coax the young lady to not get mad.

"You always think a lot yue'er, do you even take time to rest? I am worried about you! Anyway, I called you because the marshal sent a mission code for us both. I met with him and I have the details already. I will send it to you now." There was a beep from her terminal. Ying yue checked then read the contents of the mission code.

"Looks like this mission is very difficult. An S class which is you, 2 A class fighters 30 B class warriors and me, a Z class warrior. Looks very troublesome I must say."

In this era, people were divided into 8 categories, The lowest and weakest were E followed by D and C which were average, then B and A as above average and then the strongest bunch of all S, SS, SSS.

Among these categories, there was one that not many people knew, this category was the trump card of the federation; the Z category. They were the unknown. No one can gauge their power and no one can measure their potential. They can be a threat or be a redemption just by themselves.

"Yes, The Ampenth star is starting a revolt and his majesty wants us to settle the unrest as quickly and as efficiently as possible."

"Alright then. I will head to the headquarters right now so I will meet you there fei'er."

"Sure, I am here waiting." Then the call ended. Ying yue drove towards the headquarters as fast as possible then made her way to the head office. There she saw Fei Hong sitting down with the hologram turned on. The marshal can't head there in person thus they talked to him like this every time.

"Greetings your highness marshal!" Ying yue faced the hologram then placed her right fist on her chest and made her salute.

"At ease!" The marshal's cold voice drifted from the hologram spreading to the entire room. "I called you both here because this mission is very important. We cannot afford to fail this as it will be very detrimental to our people." He added in a grave tone.

"They are making big waves recently and I am afraid this is a precedent to something huge. The Ampenth star has always been hostile towards us and this has been going on for a very long time now. Therefore, this time I hope this would be the last time that I have to send people to fight. I want their power eradicated." the solemn voice drifted once more before the person in the hologram vanished.

"This… Yue'er are you confident about this?" Frowning, Fei Hong asked. Worry painted all over her face.

"This is no longer a question of confidence but more of a must."

The Ampenth star and the Empire star had been at odds with each other for a long time now. The manpower and the lives sacrificed to these wars were countless.

If the Ampenth star wins, then only a foolish person wouldn't know the consequences it will bring to the Empire star and its people. It will be a huge bloodbath.
