A King's Strength

Drakai was going through his martial forms; sweat dripped down his face. And yesterday's events playing through his head, he was concerned about the random vampire that was down there. What if a child went down there and got killed?

Cursing under his breath, drakai stopped, he wasn't even close to being done, but he had more pressing matters at the second. So gathering all of his gear into his D-Ring, he set off.

The D-Ring was a gift form the king for winning the contest between the nobles. It was a lower their D-Ring; the dimensions were 14 feet by 12 feet, leaving just enough room for his Kai-Do to fit inside and basically everything else he needed for survival.

The king had told him that everything that was wouldn't be affected by the outside, and time didn't pass inside it so food could be kept for long periods. Moreover, it was relatively easy to use; even an unfinished mortal sphere mortal could use it. All you had to do was make your man circulate to your skin, and the ring would read your mana signature.

*Knock, Knock.*

Drakai knocked on the king's door, and he heard the king scream for him to go away, but he opened the door anyway and walked in. Drakai kneeled on the ground and saluted by putting his hand up to his solar plexus and tensing his arm so that his muscles rippled.

"Oh, Drakai, it's just you; what Can I help you with? Are you here to ask for a favor?" The king had a smile on his face; he had long ago started to like Drakai. His hard work, attitude, and will were what the king was looking for in his knights. "I am sure that he will make a fine Royal knight."

Drakai looked up at the king with a face full of concern. "I have bad news," Drakai spoke in a low voice.

The king grimaced for a second; drakai had seldom brought him bad news in the years that he stayed at the castle. If Drakai was generally concerned, then something was up. "What's the matter?"

Signing Drakai stood up. "The other day, I was out exploring the city in my free time, and I came across an abandoned tunnel. I went inside just to explore it. But I came across a room with chains inside it and runic lines all over. I thought I probably shouldn't be here and started to leave. But the second I was starting to leave, I was attacked by a fucking vampire, and a true one at that."

Jakre face turned to that of disbelief; he thought drakai was pulling a joke on his. but drakais face stood the same and didn't change. "Are you telling the truth? You actually saw a true vampire down there?"

Drakai simply nodded and had a grim look on his face. "It was about ten feet tall and very dangerous. I think it was still a baby because I am still alive right now, I attacked it with my aura, and it fled; I don't think it had hunted anyone with actual strength before."

Jakre's eyes turned wide. "Do you know how rare those bastards are?" he oped his mouth to talk, but he thought better of it. "I will go deal with it myself; something like this needs my personal attention.' Jakre wasted no more time and left drakai in the room.

While he was walking down the city's streets, he was greeted multiple times by his people; he was a famous king that held the eldrasie peoples' customs and way of life, they liked him for that. And to top it off, he was strong, big, and handsome. Which made the women like him and the men admire him.

Closing his eyes, he listened to all of the sounds that were going on around him and started to pick apart sounds. First, all jakre heard was the many chattering of people, and then he heard what he was actively listening for. It sounded like knife scrapping on tile.

Instead of going and finding the tunnel, he just walked until he heard it underneath him. Jakre brought his fist up and slammed it into the ground, completely breaking through the cobblestone and ground, he felt his hand wrap around flesh, and he brought up an ugly-looking creature with bat-like ears and long dangly arms. The creature was caught off guard and tried to hit the king with its long claws.

The creature's claws bounced off the king's thick, firm skin and didn't even faze him. Instead, Jakree grasped the creature's head and squeezed, making the head explode all over, covering to ground in brain matter and blood.

He turned around and was met by the man faces of his people. "Shit, I forgot that people were around." Looking at all the people that were looking at him waiting for an explanation, Jakree shook his head and sighed.

"Just some pest control; one of my knights saw it down there the other day and gave me a warning." Then, after he had addressed the people, he simply started to walk back to the castle.

The people weren't too shocked by this; the violence of such a caliber wasn't uncommon, so after they got their fill of looking at the ugly creature, they went back to their day-to-day lives.

Drakai was currently snuggling up to ember; she had grown immensely during the last years and was way taller than Drakai. Standing at 8'0 feet tall, she was a strong beast. Her sphere had long since formed and was getting ready to make itself into the higher tier.

After getting so big, it was evident that she wasn't a deer, but nobody could offer him any insight into what she was. 'Ah, you're so snuggly." Moving to himself, as sunk into her vast amounts of soft fur and then was greeted by many licks, to the face.

Laughing out into the air, he sprung up to his feet and grabbed his Kai-Do. "Alright, I will be back later!" Ember seemed to understand him, closed her eyes, and then fell asleep.

Drakai still had a lot of training to do.
