True Vampire
Drakai looked down at his stomach in disbelief. A couple of seconds ago, he was completely fine; now, he had a massive cut on his waist. "Fuck!" He put his hands to his stomach and held his organs in; he didn't want them falling out.
Looking around, he didn't see anyone, but drakai could feel a thick bloodlust coming from around the area; it kinda reminded him of himself when he lost control. "Danya, leave now!" Shouting at Danya, who was on the other side of the room, her eyes wide open, both in fear and shock. She might have been a princess of the eldrasie people, but she hadn't been in actual danger like this before.
Drakai was about to scream for her to leave again, but he felt the extreme danger to his right side; he ducked as fast as his body would let him and activated his aura at the same time, power flooding throughout his body.
His feet left the ground as he jumped into the air; instead of trying to find whatever was attacking him, he decided that it would just be best if he made a broad-range attack, getting to the root of the problem faster.
With one hand on his stomach keeping his organs in his body, and the other one with a golden flame in it. He then fell back down to the ground with the golden flame burning the air and sending heatwaves out in the cold dungeon air.
Once his feet touched the ground, he slammed his hand into the floor, where flames burst and spread out on the floor like lava. Tongues of flame would shoot up, licking the air looking for flesh to burn. 'Eat this, you piece of shit!' Drakai shouted in anger.
A screech was heard, and a creature came into view; it had long claws and bat-like ears and long arms that dragged on the ground. It was very tall, even taller than Danya at about 10 feet tall. It kept popping out of thin air whenever some flames touched it.
Drakai rushed forward to deal a blow to the creature, but sensing its prey retaliating, it vanished from sight. Drakai felt its presence go away but knew that the creature was pissed and could come back at any moment. Quickly taking a potion out of his D-ring, he poured it on the gash across his stomach and watched as the wound closed up.
"Danya, that thing is a fucking true vampire! We have to get the fuck out right now!" Drakai wasted no time and infused his body with both magic and aura, elevating his senses and body to another level.
He pushed off the ground and broke the stone floor. Drakai rushed to Danya, that was still in a state of shock, and held her in a princess carry. She returned to her senses and had a healthy red glow spread on her cheeks.
'This is the second time you have touched me today without permission, and assaulting a royal is punishable by death!" She was too scared and flustered to think straight, but eldrasei blood ran through her veins, so the first thing she could think to do was lash out in anger.
"I am a royal too! Don't you remember that, and your stupidy almost got us killed, so shut up!" Drakai snapped back, it was a partial truth, he was technically almost a royal, but he had not yet graduated from the royal knight course. He was supposed to graduate at his coming of age ceremony, but both Drakai and Danya planned to be long gone by that time.
Running through the halls with a huge woman in his arms, drakai did his best to navigate but got caught up when he was greeted with two different turns.
"The one too the right!" Danya almost shouted out. And because of that, Drakai fixed a glare on her.
She kept pointing the way out, and they finally made it back out into the outside world and were greeted by a red and yellow sunrise. Sighing in relief, they both collapsed to the ground took a moment to gather their thoughts.
They both looked at each other and then Danya started to laugh. "Holy shit, I can't believe that we actually ran into a vampire of all things! That was probably one of the scary things I have ever seen!"
Danya spoke the truth. She was terrified, which helped her realize some things. She now knew that she had to work even harder to become stronger, but most of all, Danya decided that she needed to put herself in more danger. She needed real experience, not tiny duels and sparing sessions.
"That was one ugly fuck, danya. Next time you tell me that something is completely safe, I don't think I will believe you so fast." Drakai glared at Danya for a second, and then his expression softened.
'I have royal knight training to do; gotta keep up with my schedule, or people will become suspicious of me. So go back and do whatever you do during the day. I will come to visit you later, be decent when I get there.'
Drakai said nothing else and made his way to the enormous courtyard after he was done speaking. Getting there, he was reprimanded for being late. being on time was very important for a real knight.
To be honest, drakai wasn't sure how so much time had passed, it didn't seem like they were down there that long. "I guess time flies when you are about to die?"

Later that night, he made his way to Danya's room. Knocking lightly, he heard her voice from the other side. He was greeted by a blast of heat when he opened the door; it was very hot inside. And danya herself was sitting in the middle of the room with her legs crossed and sweat running down her face.
Looking up, she spoke. "I just broke through into the higher realm of the mortal class!" She had a bright smile on her face, and Drakai couldn't help by smile back.
"This will help us when we leave; the stronger you are, the better our chances!" His voice echoed in the large room as they made eye contact.
