The Grimoire Chronicles- A Harry Potter Fic.

The story is my take on Harry Potter, so I am adding my own plot and wouldn't be following OC and would only be adding the original plot as a back ground. ------------------- Adrian Rosier, the sole heir of the Rosier family and the only son of Bellatrix. In the world of magic, where nothing is limited, Adrian grew up knowing he was different than everyone because of his Grimoire that was contracted to him since birth. But with every power comes a lot of trouble to counter it, making even Voldemort seem not so threatening against such greater powers. How will Adrian face them?

Parties are hard.

"So Adrian what have you thought about your engagement?" Narcissa asked making the cool and casual Adrian start coughing nervously as he nearly spilled the tea one of the elf just brought. "Adrian, I have told you before, there are some responsibilities that one can't run from. The Greengrass family certainly doesn't have any problem with it so it's not wise to be the only one standing out from the crowd."

Adrian sighed as the one topic he hated the most was brought out. His engagement with the Ice Princess of the Greengrass family, Daphne Greengrass. Though he had to admit she was really beautiful, her attitude wasn't really so likable, like her title 'Ice Princess' she was cold as they came. chillingly frightening and unfriendly to the core.

Adrian believed himself to be a man of free will. There were two things he wanted the most in his life, his mother's freedom and he, never being tied down to anyone or anything. He had many ambitions that included traveling the world and if he were to settle and get married as every other Noble did, he was sure to turn insane. So even if his fiance, was the most wonderful person in the world (which she wasn't) he would still not want to marry her.

"Aunt, you know my uncle Felix set the engagement right after I was born and even he himself was not even of age, so I don't think this engagement is a good idea," Adrian said with a weird smile on his face cursing his dead uncle countless of times in his head.

"Then make sure to tell that to the Greengrass family about this yourself," Narcissa said sighing while Draco, on the other hand, kept trying to hold his laughter back.

Adrian stared daggers at Draco, though the other party was also engaged to the daughter of the Parkinson family, Pansy Parkinson, he didn't have any problems with the engagement whatsoever. So seeing the rare misery of Adrian, Draco couldn't help but tease the other party.

Though it would be easy to reject the Greengrass family, it currently wasn't the time to do so. He wanted to get his mother out of that hellhole, so he had no choice but to garner the favor of his fellow Nobles. Especially the ones from the sacred twenty-eight who had seats in Wizengamot. So all he could do now was keep them around until it was time.

This would be seen as evil in the eyes of many but he had all the determination needed for what he wanted to do. No matter how many people he has to use or betray, he will do it if it meant he could get a step closer towards his dreams.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chief. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Mr. Rosier,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. The term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall,

Deputy Headmistress

Adrian rolled his eyes not caring much about the letter at all. Of course, he was going to be accepted to a wizarding school since he was born a wizard. Adrian really didn't get why all the people made such a fuss about such an obvious letter but it seemed to be a trend as Andromeda, Ted and Tonks all congratulated him.

Andromeda quickly started writing a reply back to Hogwarts while others went about their day. Adrian had a lot of things to worry about right now, things more important than Hogwarts letter. He, being the head of the Rosier family, now had the responsibility to throw a celebratory party.

Throwing a party might seemingly appear easy as it simply just requires one to send an invitation but when politics are involved things get overly complicated. Some houses were enemies with one another and some just didn't like the sight of each other, so among the various Noble's, he had to pick which one he wanted to befriend and ally with, and which ones he wanted to make enemies with.

With all this, he even had to go far as to extend his hands towards some other Ministry officials as well. Both his parents being death-eaters didn't make things easy in this regard but he still hoped to befriend as many as he could, using this party as an occasion.

Ted and Tonks could care less about the party as according to them they would rather stay away from it than join them but Andromeda who grew up in a Noble family of Black knew how these things worked so she was helping Adrian make decisions. Though she had lost connection with a lot of the purebloods after she married Ted, she still knew their strengths and weaknesses, and which one The Rosier family would be better of allying with.

Lucius had sent one of his elves, Dobby to work for the Rosier family. Though the elf seemed discouraged at first but with Andromeda around, the elf quickly found his purpose again as he loyally began working for the Rosier family with every piece of enthusiasm he could muster.

Adrian had underestimated the ability of an elf as he never expected the work to be completed so quickly. Now the house was cleaner than ever and the manor was decorated according to the liking of Adrian. All old useless things were stuffed into the storage including his ancestor's portrait except for one, that he kept at the center of the hall.

The portrait belonged to Vinda Rosier. The young woman in the portrait was strikingly and chillingly beautiful young witch, with green eyes, pale Caucasian skin, with short dark hair and thick, long eyebrows. She wore purple lipstick and eye shadow. Her dress sense was very elegant and clearly evident of her upper-class heritage, wearing a long dark green dress, underneath a black coat and a black hat.

Vinda Rosier was technically Adrian's grandmother by relation, from what he knew the woman lived in France as the Rosier family had mostly moved there several years ago and the reason she was known was because of her loyal following of Gellert Grindelwald. She was said to be an acolyte of Grindelwald and his lieutenant. Of course, like every member of his family, she was obsessed with blood purity but this wasn't the reason why Adrian kept her around.

The portrait, unlike the others, didn't complain even once when Adrian moved it around but just watched him carefully with interest. And for some reason, Adrian felt the most closeness with her. Even the picture of his own grandparents didn't give as much familiarity that it did with her. Among many others, she was the one that looked closest to Adrian, almost like a female version of him. Though she never talked back he liked having her around.

"So have you thought of an appropriate date?" Andromeda came down asking as she sent away the reply letter to Hogwarts with the same owl that the letter came with.

"I was thinking of 20th August." Adrian said, "It's a Sunday as I remember and I will still have some time to go talk with mother about some of the houses."

Andromeda nodded, she knew one of the things Adrian was concerned about was, some of the dark-families that were going to show up. Especially more so with wizards and aurors who fought them showing up, he needed to find a balance or the party could take a quick turn into something worse.
