Misplaced Faith

Fujino can't believe what he just saw with his eyes, the orphanage was already engulfed by fire the time he arrived. He saw the children not so far from the fire and hugging each other in fear and tears on their faces.

Fujino at least can take one deep breath this time, this feeling is such a relief for him knowing the kids is safe. Little did he knows, it didn't last long.

Mayer realized Fujino has arrived, he turns his head showing his nasty grin.

"Fujino, you're 5 minutes late" Mayer turn his back

Fujino says nothing, he only stares at Mayer sharply

"5 minutes, Hmmm" Mayer acting like he is thinking hard

Fujino knows it a sign that something terrible will happen again

"Okay!" Mayer smile a little and snap his finger like he's done thinking

"That will...." Mayer walks toward the group of kids

"Cost you... 5 lives HAHAHAHAHAHA!" He laughs as he raises five children in his hand and the other kids scream even harder when Mayer took their brothers.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!" Fujino instantly know what Mayer gonna do, He screams with all he got, as he tries to stand and stop Mayer, he keeps fell over and over again.

This night will be the night Fujino never forgets, the night when he witnesses how Mayer throws his five little brothers into the fire. He laughs like a psycho that truly enjoys doing that.

Fujino can only scream in pain watching this hideous scene, he was feeling so hopeless by the time, sobbing on the ground and couldn't do anything but keep watching as his little brother screaming in the blazing fire.

Finished laughing, Mayer now walks towards Fujino. He keeps clapping his hand as he shakes his head a little with a smile on his face.

"Fujino, that was a good expression! BRAVO!" He said as he keeps walking

Fujino stares at him angrily, if one looks into his eyes they will know it is no longer a human's eye. You can feel his pain, how desperate he is, the look Fujino gives is full of killing intent.

"Why do you look at me like tha-"

"AAAAAARRRRRRGGHHHH!!" He can't hold it, now he just wants to die he thought he couldn't bear it anymore.

"Now come, I don't want to stay here for too long, human smell bad when they burned especially kids you know" Mayer grab Fujino at his collar then put him on his shoulder. Fujino can only cry like crazy, he is probably unconscious at this point, but he keeps crying.

'How could all of this happen? Where does it actually begin? All this mess, is this even real?' he muttered in his mind.

As Mayer take Fujino with him and left the orphanage on fire, Mother was slowly getting her consciousness back because of the heat of the fire. And the first thing she heard is her kids screaming inside the fire.

Before Fujino left the orphanage he lay his mother far enough from the battle between Nara, Noby, and Mayer. He didn't put her together with the kids because it'll take time so he just takes her to the ground where he thinks it's safe enough to leave her.

Then mother saw Fujino taken by Mayer, she instantly crying hopelessly, she kinda understands the situation because she actually got the missing piece, something that Fujino never heard, something that could make this crazy scene make sense, something that is the beginning of all of this madness.

She cries right there and she speaks to herself, "If that creatures that take Fujino my son is an angel, if the one that burns my house down and throws my kids into it is an angel!" she cries in a desperate and angry tone.

"If all of this happened because of an angel...." she closed her eyes and put her hands together like someone who is praying.

"Whoever heard this pleading and prayer, I devote my life and my faith to you, please... please punish him.... please punish the one that caused all of this mess, the one who brings sorrow to me and my beloved kids and give it an even punishment. Please save my son Fujino from him... amen..." She prayed fervently as tears running down her cheek.

Now, nothing will stop Mayer from brings Fujino to wherever he wants, at least that what Mayer thought.

He almost gets to the gate with a victorious smile, but before he reaches the gate, a loud thunder sound rumble in the sky roaring like a lion and lightning flashing across the sky

zzzzzzzzz... BOOOOM!!

The earth is shaking for a moment, Mayer stops on his track, he kinda gets a feeling someone has arrived and stared at him now.

"I'm not supposed to be here" a voice talking behind Mayer

"You know that right?" Mayer was feeling oppressed by the presence of that guy talking behind him. The voice of the person that talks make Mayer felt nervous to turn back and take a look.

"Put that kid down, I don't wanna ruin the good relationship between our race" Mayer petrified in his place, from the aura he senses he instantly knows it's dead-end for him.

"You can't move? sorry, totally forgot that" That voice slowly approaching Mayer.

Every step he made, the ground was burned into black. The surrounding suddenly becomes stertorous, as he approaches. Mayer can feel that person moves his wings slowly because he can feel the heatwave in every flap that man made. The temperature increase like crazy.

"I've tried to surpass my aura so I don't burn this place down, but you gotta understand I'm not that good doing it" Now he is a few steps from Meyer.

"you know this is my first time since the great war I step my feet again in this mortal realm" Now he is right behind Meyer.

He took Fujino slowly like he is trying to not scratch him even a little, he put down Fujino that still crying unconsciously a few steps away from Meyer.

Meyer can't move an inch, he truly wants to scream and run from this extremely terrifying monster but he couldn't. Meyer totally turns into rock.

"Let's make it quick" That man grab Meyer's upper wings and without a single warning he pulls it and tears it out until it revoked from Meyer's back.

"AAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!" Meyers's eyes tear up and he slowly falls forward while keep screaming.

In the midst of Meyer's painful scream, that person grabs Meyer's chin to roughly lifts him up and turns Meyer towards it.

In front of Meyer is a true definition of a demon that he never saw before.

His whole body is boiling and it's like his face is slowly melting in that person's grip.

In front of Meyer stand a 10 feet posture, with the ear that fans out, two sharp horn in its forehead, his chin is pointy, his eyes shining bright red, and his body is full black with a crack shining red in every curve on his body that looks like lava that hardens with wings looks like a bat's wing,

"Hi, I'm Eligos, first-floor guardian of hell"

Still screaming begging for mercy, Meyer knows it will be the last thing he remembers.... a face of hell.
