Status

The world was in complete chaos.

Everyone, without exception, was unconscious for 8 hours straight. In some places, nuclear reactors failed and had it not been for the automatic safety system they would have exploded. But in almost all countries, communication networks have become extremely unstable and power networks have also failed. Gas pipelines in several countries have suffered serious damage, and many buildings have simply exploded as a result.

Had it not been for automatic security systems, even nuclear bombs would have been dropped due to the lack of contact from governments.

The lack of human communication with creation itself almost led to the collapse of civilization as a whole.

Fortunately, governments around the world have started to take steps to maintain order and minimize damage.

Ralph was lying on the bed with his cell phone in hand and talking to his university colleagues.

Ralph then turned off the cell phone screen and ignored Lucas for a while.

As the streets are still chaotic and dangerous, he and his family have not left the house and are just waiting at home for things to calm down.

His father, Tom, spent most of his time in the small garage garage "preparing for the worst."

The sister packed her bags as if she were going to travel and spent time on the internet.

The mother was worried and was constantly watching the news on television and the internet.

In short, without internet and television, everyone but his father would be unemployed.

They had already eaten the rest of the food in the pantry, and now they were eating food stolen from the market.

Ralph got up and turned on the computer, he was bored and decided to play a Rpg he had bought the other day.

As the servers of some services were very unstable, he didn't even try to play CS, since his ping would sound to the skies.

He quickly got into the game and put the headset on his head.

He was in the middle of a mission when he left the game the last time and wanted to complete it.

As the game is offline, the gameplay is a little dry, but still fun, due to the game's graphics and the NPCs and monsters.

As he walked through the dark forest, he suddenly heard a noise in the bushes, he turned quickly and saw a large beast.

A large leopard was watching him as the wind blew the leaves on the ground. The leopard's teeth seemed to be made of gold and blood dripped from his fur as the beast walked slowly towards him, causing the mud of the ground to splash due to the weight.

Ralph was a little scared and checked the level of the beast, and saw that it was ten levels up.

Ralph was currently at level 87, and could fight normal level 100 monsters if he used a good strategy. But the beast at the front had its name bathed in purple, which means that it is an epic-class monster.

The monsters in the game are divided into three classes, normal, rare and epic. The normals had slightly lower stats than the players, the rare ones were at least days times stronger than a player of the same level, and the epics, despite having the same stats as the rare ones, had a much higher intelligence! Which means they were much more difficult to fight.

Without hesitation, Ralph started running towards a safe zone, but fortunately, the beast didn't seem interested in following Ralph and went back to the bushes.

Ralph thought this was a little strange, and decided to observe from a distance, unfortunately, due to the game's own limitations, he couldn't see very far on the computer screen and was afraid to get close again.

The problem is that he needs to go through the woods to be able to complete the mission and receive the reward.

While he was thinking of a way to get through the woods without attracting the leopard's attention, Torvi snuck into his room.

-If I recruit some NPCs I can make them get the beast's attention and go through the woods.

Ralph came up with a plan and was ready to put it into practice when he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder.

Looking to the side, he saw Torvi smiling and looking at the game.

"Is this the game you said you bought? It looks really cool, can I play it?" She asked as she tightened her grip on Ralph's shoulder.

Ralph sighed, he knew she wouldn't leave him alone if he didn't let her play and decided to leave the mission for later.

He then left the game, stood up and said:

"If you want to play, remember to create another character, or don't even think about playing again on my computer."

Torvi completely ignored Ralph and sat down on the gaming chair.

Ralph didn't insist, he thought it best that she played like that and he found out, that way he could ban her again.

He was about to leave the room to go to the kitchen when he remembered something.

-The status of my character still had some free points ... I should invest them in agility to run faster.

Ralph then turned to the computer and saw Torvi entering with his character in the game.

With a devilish smile, he thought:

Ralph went to the kitchen and made a quick snack, to prevent Torvi from doing any major damage to his character.

After returning to the room, however, he saw something that left him in alarm. Torvi was changing his character's status.

"... What a fool, he should have invested all the points in agility, so I wouldn't have died so easily for the leopard." He heard Torvi mutter as he spent all his points.

Ralph's blood started to boil, although he planned to do that, the points were achieved with hours of effort by him, he should have that satisfaction!

Seeing Torvi smile as he spent the stitches on his sweat, he approached while speaking in a low voice:

"My Status!"

"..." Torvi was a little flustered, since she thought he heard her murmur. She knew her brother was a little over the top when it came to his computer and games.

"Hehe ... What is it? Why are you looking at me with such a strange face ?." Torvi asked as he took the headset off his head.

Ralph was making a strange expression, and was actually changing his expressions every second, scaring Torvi a little.

"... which is, I bet you would do the same thing later, why be angry? Besides, you are not the type to lose control so easily ..." She spoke to try to ease her guilt .

But Ralph kept making strange expressions, annoying Torvi a little.

But then Ralph started to close his eyes and open them repeatedly, making Torvi almost jump in surprise.

Ralph then went to the bathroom and started washing his face, stopping the changes in expression.

"What is it? Why are you doing this?" Torvi asked a little concerned about her brother's mental health.

But Ralph was silent, looking ahead without looking away.

Torvi thought rolling his eyes as he went to tell his mother that Ralph was strange.

After Torvi left, however, Ralph said:

Then his mouth opened and he looked forward as if in shock.

His mother, together with Torvi, arrived in the room worried, and when they saw Ralph's expression they were startled.

"Ralph?" His mother spoke.

Ralph came back to his senses with his mother's voice and looked at her.

"..." A silence fell over the room.

"What happ--"

"Mom, say" My status "." Ralph interrupted his mother and said.

His mother, was confused for a moment and said:

"Should you know more than me ??"

Ralph shook his head and said to Torvi:

"Speak" MY STATUS ", the sentence."

Torvi was taken aback and spoke instinctively:

"... my status"

This time, it was Torvi's turn to start making strange expressions, scaring both his mother and Ralph.

After doing basically the same thing as Ralph, she then said:

"Close ... Status."

"..." A silence fell again over the room.

Torvi then looked at Ralph with a look of disbelief.

"Brother, you saw the same thing, right?"

Ralph nodded and turned to his mother.

"Your turn." Torvi spoke, taking his mother by surprise.

It took her a while to understand, but then she remembered what Ralph had said before.

"My ... Status?"

But it seemed that nothing happened, since her expression was still normal.

Ralph and Torvi frowned and said at the same time:

"Without being interrogative."

Their mother was getting a little nervous, thinking the kids were either playing with her, or having some kind of mental problem.
