Chapter 2

She started walking towards me, in a slow manor, but still scary.

"What a-are you doing?" I asked her.

"I have never seen anyone like you before, so nice, helpless, cute. I can feel the heat from your blood, the beat of your heart, the heat of your breath, all the way over here, 20 feet away."

"How do you do that?"

"Heck if I told you," She paused. "I would have to kill you. Describe me! What does it tell you!?" Her voice, getting louder and louder.

"What do you mean?" I asked her. My stutter, finally going away.

"What do I look like?"

"You're pale, tall and a blonde, with honey colored eyes."

"Yes."

"I don't know. That's literally everyone in this town."

"Come on, have you ever heard of 'Twilight'?" She asked.

"Yes."

"What's it about?"

This can't be happening to me right now, no way could she be...

"V-Vampires. . . ." I was shocked, I didn't know what to say.

When I said this she looked to her right. Then she looked at me, a hard, cold look. Then she disappeared. I was scared. What if wanted to hurt me. But then I looked to the right where she was looking and I saw Nate

"Axle! Axle!" Nate was screaming my name. Even though I could probably hear him he just said my name.

I didn't know if I should tell him about Mable or just leave it alone.

"Where have you been Nate? I've been waiting here for the past half hour looking for you."

"I went to the wrong park, when you weren't there, I figured this is the only park you go to..." I zoned out when he started talking about his trip here. All I could think about was Mable, how her eyes looked at me. How beautiful she was. Could she really be a vampire? Could she really be that truthful.

Nate brought me back to reality after asking me to do something.

"Axle, are you listening to me?"

"Yes, I'm listening."

"So you want to go watch TV at my house?"

"Um, no I got to go home. My mom needs me." The best excuse I had, and the only.

I couldn't help to notice how madly in love I was with Mable.
