Demonic Forest

"What? Demonic Forest?" almost both of them cried out in surprise.

'What was she talking about? Did she have a death wish or what?' they were looking at Su Qing as if she was some kind of crazy person.

Su Qing sighed a little. She actually expected this reaction. 

Actually, if they didn't get surprised, then she would've taken them for being crazy.

Because the Demonic Forest was something dangerous that any person without a high cultivation can't make it out of there.

But if Su Qing wants to start healing her meridian and start cultivating again, then she needs to get through this difficult level.

Deep inside the Demonic Forest, there is a place called the Frozen Pond. And in that pond the Frozen Lily blooms in the middle of it.

There is only one Lily that blooms in the pond throughout the year, and Su Qing needs that Lily to heal her meridian.

After that, Su Qing said, "I have to go there if I want to heal my meridian. I read it in the medical books you gave me."

Old Master Gu stroked his beard, his mind deep in thought.

Yuan Si already knew this piece of information without that guy telling him.

But this Wu Sheng was not in a place to say things like this because his body and meridian was not in a place to do so.

He was surprised by this brat's stubborn attitude, which reminded him of someone he knew that had the same stubbornness just like him.

"When do you plan on going there?" 

Su Qing looked at the man in surprise. She actually didn't expect him to ask her anything.

"I'll go as soon as the Old Gu leaves, I'll let the shop in Bai Yue's hands," Bai Yue was a neighbor shopkeeper of this steam bun shop and he was an honest man.

Su Qing has supervised him for a while and knew that he was honest enough to work for her.

"I see. Than we can leave tomorrow. Get ready and take the things you needby tonight," Yuan Si said as he stood up lazily and went back inside one of the rooms that were still unused.

Old Gu already knew he needs more room as his 'Special Guest' will come to him at any time, so he had other extra rooms behind the shop.

And Yuan Si already knew which one his grandfather prepared for him, do he just went inside the room and closed the door with a loud sound.

Su Qing, "..."

'Do you really need to be so temperamental?'

Anyway, she didn't paid any attention to him as she turned towards Old man to explain what he just said with a questioning gaze.

The Old man sighed but he explained to her what his grandson meant.

"He is also going to the Demonic Forest for something related to his works. Since you are also going there, he will take you as well."

Su Qing frowned after hearing this. Although it was good to have a strong companion when she was going to visit such a dangerous place, she still wasn't sure about Yuan Si's character.

'Is it Alright to follow him?'

Then again, Su Qing didn't had any good idea in her mind, so she threw away her thoughts aside for now.

'His Grandfather is such a good person, maybe he is also not that bad either.'

Su Qing thought as she was about to leave, but suddenly Old Gu grabbed her wrist as he warned her.

"Another thing I almost forgot to tell you. The thing is that you are a woman, keep it a secret from Si for the time being."

Su Qing was baffled and confused by this, but she nodded her head as she agreed to his conditions without delay.

The old man breathed in relief as he released her hand and patted on her shoulder.

"Then… we will meet again soon, right?"

Su Qing felt strange in her heart when he asked her the question.

A person who treated her so warmly like this was rare in her life.

Su Qing nodded her head as she assured the Old Man that they will meet again, the Old Man left happily after this.

She also went back to her room to practice her books again.

Two days later, 

"Wu Sheng, are you done with your packing? It's almost time for setting out," The Old Man asked from outside when Su Qing grabbed her last book and pushed it inside the heavenly bag given by him.

This bag can contain a lot of things inside its space, and it's easy to carry.

Su Qing knew that it must be expensive to buy, so she refused to take it from the Old man at first.

"Just take it as a souvenir, I didn't give you any till now," he just waved his hands towards Su Qing as he gave away the bag to her.

"Well then, I'll take it," she grinned before setting the bag on her waist happily.

After that, Su Qing set her foot outside as she saw the people were waiting for her.

Yuan Si was still wearing his veiled hat, so Su Qing still didn't see what he looked like. And both An Ding and Old Gu were standing aside together as well.

Well, it's not like he also saw her face either, because she was also wearing a veil from the first time since they met. 

Su Qing wore a veil to hide her face which was covered in scars, so there is no reason to be suspicious about.

"Little Sheng, I'll go back with An Ding, you have to go with him alone. Be careful on the road!" the old man said with a cheerful smile.

Su Qing, "..."

"Why isn't An Ding going with us?" She questioned him with a confused face.

"The forest is not a place where anyone can enter as they please. Besides, he has to escort the old man back," Yuan Si spoke without any emotion as he answered her questions.
