Going back home

After break, their teacher, Mr James came to the class to explain how the Gate of Magic Elements work.

"Okay, so listen attentively to what I am about to say." , Mr James said after entering the class.

"I know that most of you know the history behind the Gate of Magic Elements so I won't talk about it. I will move straight to the point."

"The Gate of Magic Elements is a type of gate that leads to another realm called the Elemental realm."

"When one enters the gate, he or she will find himself in the Elemental realm."

"The Elemental realm is a large piece of land with countless continents, just like this planet."

"In the Elemental realm there are many continents. Each continent contains huge amount of controllable power called Elemental mana."

"Elemental mana is a kind of energy that is used by mages to control elements. Examples of Elements are water, fire, air, earth , healing, metal, plant, summoning, etc."

"The Continents in the Elemental realm have specified elemental mana like a continent can have only one elemental mana which is the fire elemental mana, another continent can also have another elemental mana which is the water elemental mana. Therefore these continents are called the Elemental continents."

"Each elemental continent has a characteristic that is similar to the Elemental mana it contains. For example; a continent with the fire elemental mana can be a huge piece of land covered by flames or a continent with plant elemental mana will be a large piece of land filled with plants. It is the same for other elements ."

" When you enter the Gate of Magic Elements, you will be delivered into one of the Elemental continents depending on your fate. At that place, you will be given a scroll which will help you absorb the Elemental mana there into your body. "

"Some of you will transported to the same continent whilst some of you will be transported into different continents. It solely relies on your fate."

"This is what you have to know for now. As for the rest, you know after the ceremony." Mr James said ending his long explanation.

He took a deep breath before asking, "Do you have any question?!"

" I have one", one of the students said.

"Ernest?! Okay you can ask your question." ,Mr James calmly replied.

" Dont we have elemental mana in this realm? Why must we go into the Gate of Magic Elements to absorb one?! ", the boy called Ernest asked.

" Well, we have elemental mana here. However, because the Elemental mana is mixed up, we need to visit the Elemental realm to gain experience so that we can absorb the specific Elemental mana here. You will understand after the expedition. ", Mr james calmly explained.

"Okay ,thank you" , Ernest said before sitting down.

"Do you have other questions?" ,Mr James asked again.

"I have one!" , a tiny voice spoke.

"Okay, you can speak",Mr James said.

"Air please, you said that the Elemental continents contain specific Elemental mana right? Then what if we are transported into a massive land filled with raging flames, won't we die?! The flames will burn us to death right?" ,the person in the tiny voice asked.

After hearing the question, most of the students nodded their heads.It was one of the thinks they didn't understand.

"Good question, Jessica. Actually,even if you are transported into a massive land filled with raging flames, you won't die because, the flames won't burn you. It is the same everywhere. It you are transported into the ocean, you won't drown. It is just one of the wonders of the Elemental realm." Mr James explained.

"Okay, thank you", Jessica replied before sitting down.

" Do you have any questions?! ",Mr James asked again.

" I have one"

"Okay you can ask."

This went on for some time, with many students asking questions and Mr James answering them. After an hour, Mr James dismissed the students from the class. It was time to close.

Hearing the closing bell ring, Jim picked up his bag and headed for his house.

Jim's grandparents' house was located in a hill near the city's protective wall.

Currently, Jim was making his way towards the house.

After walking for a while, he reached his grand parents home.

" Mom, Dad, I am home!! " Jim announced his presence with a shout after closing the door.

"Hey, Jim, how was school?" ,his mother, who was currently in the kitchen asked.

"It was great! Where is brianna?!" , Jim asked.

"She is upstairs. In her room", his mother replied.

"And what about dad?!" , Jim asked again.

"He is also there!" , his mother replied.

"Okay!!" Jim shouted before climbing the stairs .

After Jim got to the door which led to Brianna's room, he knocked on the door.

*ko ko ko*

"Who is it?!" , a tiny but sweet voice came out of the room.

"Brianna, it's me!" ,Jim said.

"Hahaha,Big brother, you are back!!" , Brianna said in a sweet voice before opening up the door for Jim.

After opening the door, she held Jim's hand and pulled him into the room while shouting, "Come and play with me!!, Come and play with me!!" .

"Okay!!" , Jim responded.

They proceeded to play for the rest of the day.

After playing for a while, they went downstairs to eat dinner. Whilst they were eating, Jim asked,

"Dad, dog on have any information coming in from the water mage city team?"

"Yes, they are done in fixing our house. With the help of the Earth city team they finished early.We will move back in tomorrow." , his dad said with a happy smile on his face.

"Oh, Okay!"

Jim said before proceeding to eat.

On the next day, they moved back to their house early in the morning.

Everyday,Jim went to school and after school, he came home to rest.

This schedule went on for the whole week and the time to the Magic Element Selection Ceremony continued to shrink until it finally arrived
