Wolf in Sheep's Skin

I went faster now, exploring the options in my head. I was terribly confused and unable to figure out a good way to go about this, other than running in blind. Ferren was the only one who really could help me figure this out, and I did care about him.

I finally reached the end of the blood. It had been many turns and twists, that never seemed to add up. But now I was very confused. The blood lead me to the ridge of the forest, into a seemingly normal opening, but little things were different. The trees didn't blow with the wind, the birds didn't chirp. The edges of every plant was wilted and deteriorating, and the opening was full of only monochrome flowers. If it wasn't for the green of the alive grass and trees, it would have looked like an old movie in black and white. The red of the blood made huge contrast to the lack of color, so it was easy to see it ended in front of nothing. I squinted around, looking for any kind of sign to life. My eyes seemed to fail me. Normally I could pick up every detail, and I was quite inquisitive, as my caretaker had always liked about me. But the scene in front of me didn't seem like reality. It was hard at first, but then I noticed more strange things. There were barely any animals, and any that were around were oddly morphed or had huge gashes in the sides of them that should have killed them. The things I had once thought were flowers now buzzed around as insects and creepy crawlies. A place that had once seem like an old whist filled movie, now took on a gore-like complexion. My entire body ached, feeling as if each limb had been torn from the other. I could hear a siren or a buzzer going off in my brain. I screamed at it to stop, and covered my ears, but it didn't it kept making way to the front of my brain. I stayed in that terrible place for what felt like hours.

Until the lights went off.
