"Okay, Arisu, let's talk in the council room," I replied sternly, not objecting to her being intimate with me. A deal is a deal, and I would fulfill the end of it with grace.

"Did the mission fail, Kato? What a regrettable indeed." A black-haired girl with crimson eyes sighed regrettably.
She was Utaha, one of my partners in the secret mission to uncover corruption in this school and take down all ruthless capitalists and controllers who secretly manipulate the education system here.
This place is very important for the Emperor of Japan because many people with top societal standing enroll their children here, including his own daughter, Hatsune Miku.
However, this school is not under his control. They commissioned us to get rid of all corrupt capitalists, shareholders, and people who have control over this school by any means necessary. From here, we began to collect all of their wicked deeds, corruption, and many more before taking them down in one go.
The Emperor only expects clean and righteous people in the seat of the school. Morally corrupt and reprehensible individuals would be obliterated by him in an instant.
Unfortunately, Principal Sakayanagi is not one of them. He was a righteous and morally good person, but he is not one of the Emperor's people either. He was a friend of Prime Minister Ayanokouji and a rival of the Emperor. They were even blatantly fighting power with him by introducing foreign forces like Nova Roma into our nation. Since that case, we didn't intervene with him since he wasn't morally corrupt. We are not lackeys of the Emperor, after all, so we wouldn't solve all of his problems.
We are here because we accepted the commission to get rid of all the people who have the potential to become members of the abyss faction or those affiliated with them.
And here is where Shirogane-san's role comes into play. He can not only provide us with good information in the bright places but is also a good and lawful man according to our observation. His refusal against temptation of reward by us already proved that fact, which made her very regrettable and contradictory at the same time.
If he accepted her recruitment, she suspected that she recruited the wrong person. If he refused, she was very regrettable that she missed the most potential member for her organization and guild to obliterate all abyss faction.
We have only one goal in mind: fight the evil with greater evil.
"I don't think so," I answered confidently. The relationship between Sakayanagi and Shirogane-san was very shallow in my opinion. They seemed so close, but not at the same time, which gave me confidence that their relationship is more than meets the eye.
"Anyway, even so, we should keep an eye on them. We shouldn't let Shirogane-san join Nova Roma, or we let him be taken away by Sakayanagi-san. I suspect Nova Roma has some connection with the Dio Brando," Utaha reminded.

I know better how nasty Dio was. All of us were taught that he was a very wicked man. We lost many men, many fathers, many sons, many daughters, many mothers, and many more in the Stardust Crusade against him. He is not only morally bad but also very powerful. His Heaven Ascension ability can rewrite reality and the universe. It's a hard fight for sure. In the end, we won, but everything was just Dio's deception. He wanted us to think we had won, that we had eliminated Dio Brando. But no, he had disappeared after we won. He was merely left with a corpse. If not for the Third Magician reminding us that his soul wasn't found, we would have been deceived by it.
The meaning is, Dio escaped. He escaped with his soul, and he was probably living under another name and disguise with his new body. We have no idea where he was. We only know that he was in Japan, but we don't know the details of it.
I sighed...
Hopefully, Miyuki isn't involved in this charade and can live in his own peace, not being dragged into the Vampire King bullshit who wanted to seek in retaking his throne.
I sincerely hope he can live on his own terms. After all, he was one of my rare friends in life.

"President... Who is this shameless woman?" Kaguya stood up abruptly from her seat and asked me with a menacing gaze on her face as she gazed at the figure who hugged my arm so intimately.

This scene is already what I expected when I arrived at the scene. In the past, when I was still a figure of wealth and power, where the world still revolved around me and the girls were surrounding me left and right, this scene happened to be repeated over and over again where they fought over me tooth and nail, even my sister would join in the fun, so, I'm used to it and know how to respond appropriately.

By then, I released her hug and maintained my distance from her as I took my presidential seat gracefully, ignoring this woman acting hurt and resentful towards me.

"Fufufu... You forgot to mention I was your girlfriend, Miyuki-san," Arisu reminded.
"Fake girlfriend," I added.
Arisu stared at me with a resentful look as I continued to ignore her and reviewed the document before me. I had no time to play her antics; I am who I am, Shirogane Miyuki. I will never become a simp for others or anyone else, never!
"So, just a fake girlfriend." Kaguya became disinterested in an instant at interrogating me and returned to her seat, calmly sipping her black tea elegantly.
Even beneath that calmness, there was a hidden smirk that couldn't be suppressed from her face in the moment of clarity from me, especially when she heard what she wanted to hear from me, that everything about my relationship with Arisu is just a ploy and I'm willing to tell her everything about it.
I made her feel trusted and important by telling her everything about it. I made her feel like my world revolved around her, and I was her ally for being willing to tell her about something that shouldn't be told even if we were just a friend. For a controlling and possessive woman like Kaguya, undoubtedly, my decisive stance for siding myself with her and telling her this was enough to make her feel important. I had always been by her side and never out of her control or vision. I had always been on her side, always. My simple statement meant everything to her, it meant the world.

I rarely use it, but I'm willing to make an exception for this. Kaguya is too important to me. I don't want a little misunderstanding to ruin our relationship, so I decisively used this tactic to get everything back on track again.
