Sky Cold
I've completely read this book and I can assure you that it's barely average. Here are the pros : - The Fl is smart and calm. - The Ml is calm and sympathetic. - The enemies aren’t brain dead . - The fake daughter isn't easy to deal with because she's the world’s chosen one( or something like this). Let's go down to the cons now : - The pace is slow . The chapters are nor short nor long , however they feel boring because events seem to take forever to be dealt with. As an illustration, i take the fact that the Fl only gets married in the last chapter. Also , the story feels stretched after a hundred chapters( By the way , i skimmed to the end at some point), because the fake daughter and her fiance just become so annoying ! - The characters are not that appealing. First, the Fl is too passive. Sure Gu yanfei is smart , strong and calm. However , her not reacting at all( or reacting late) in almost every situation just makes her annoying because she seems too passive. If one looks closely , he / she will realize that the times she confronts people directly are rares . Second , the enemies are annoying . The antagonists are smart but the fact that they almost all despise the Fl for no good reason is just unerving. Plus , as i said previously , Fl doesn't really stand for herself and mostly ignores people , which makes it so that almost every chapters are focused on these antagonists' thoughts and/or plots , which just makes my blood pression rise up. Third, the Fl's older brother . I appreciate him as he is one of the few who stand up for Fl. However him immediately putting aside yunrong appears to me to be really unreal. Who can stop loving a sibling he/she had grew up with just because he/she discovered that they weren’t linked by blood ? I command his loving attitude towards the Fl and his desire to make up for all the hardships she suffered. But still , is it necessary/ truly realistic that he immediately rejects yunrong ? Beside all this , Yunrong and the Gu family's hypocrisy is just unbearable the more you go through the book. - Certain things aren't explained clearly. It's a good thing to let the reader understand somethings for himself /herself. However , there’s a difference between making one work his/her brain and confusing him/her. Honestly, it's thanks to some comments that i came to understand certain things that happened . - The translation is lacking. "British family " ? The british royal family has nothing to do with the Fang family in the book. so why translate the original word when it clearly feels wrong ? Please translator, correct your mistakes, because when we pay , we await a certain level of translation . All in all , this book started well but ended up boring. If anything, you won’t lose anything if you don’t read it( i doubt it's even good enough to be taken as a book to pass time).
I dropped this because i was getting too fed up with the purple prose. I know this is a thing typical of "blood dog" dramas, but for some reason, this time around it was turning me off. Also, it was annoying to read about the "British Monarchy," the "British" Duke or the "British" Crown Prince. I don't know the original word the author meant to use but it had nothing to do with the real life British Crown. It was jarring and pulled me out of the story every time I came across it. I wished they would fix that. Either leave the word untranslated or use something other than British because that word only refers to one thing only. And that has nothing to do with Ancient China or their ruling families. The characters themselves I can't complain about, though they aren't memorable. Nothing about them sticks out to be honest.
A well written story but unfortunately the ending is too rushed, not satisfactory at all. A few plot holes remain till end. So much talk about FL father, but no mention of her mother at all. Even after she had left a suspicious jade for her. When did her sister transmigrate into this world? Nothing is mentioned at all. A good read if you can ignore the end
I don't quite understand how there's British Royalty involved, but other than this, I do like this story. There's a bit of confusion for me as to how all the characters that are supposed to be princes are connected, but other than this, I like how things are progressing with the FL and who I belive will be the ML in the end. More chapters soon, please!
I really enjoyed this book. found that someone posted the raw in the review and checked it out. it's not too long, just 361 chapters. things moved fast in a satisfying way. it did not feel rushed. lots of funny moments. I only missed being able to leave chapter comments and paragraph comments, and better English (had to deal with gender mix-ups and all that which is normal for google translation). hopefully, the book gets released here soon and it can be enjoyed better. all in all it is recommended. Thank you Author
omg!!! I love this novel. The storyline is smooth and interesting make me want for more.. and the characters are well thought . I really hope that this novel will be selected. I can't wait for the next chapters to be uploaded. Will Yunrong say yes or no? and I am really looking forward for Prince Chu and Yanfei interactions.. I hope Yanfei will not become the stepping-stone for others. Let her shine dear Author xoxo
