honestly, I would love to give this more stars, but I just can't. the writing quality is okay, but there are moments where words are missing or phrases are out of order making some areas hard to read or figure out what's going on. the pacing is WAY too fast, and events don't seem to have much connection or explanation. characters have a lot of potential but connections, relationships, background, and motivations are unexplored or missing all together. world building is probably the high point of the book, but is still lacking in depth. conversations are okay, but jumbled together to the point where I had to re-read paragraphs or even backtrack to figure out who is having the conversations. it's good as a first or second draft, the bones of a great story are here.. but it needs a lot of fleshing out. it is relatively hard to read and bare bones, but still leaves me wanting to read more.
