i have wondered about this type of defence skill since I started reading these novels. how effective is it really, when the first thing every beginner cultivator/mage/martial artist does, is smash a rock into rubble when they want to test their power?

he has lots of sword energies and stuff to nurture "flying swords" but I still think the tier 1 slivered void sword he got early on is the coolest sword he has received. I really like the idea of a sword made of razor sharp slivers that are individually controllable and also as a group in the form of a sword. I really hope he upgrades it and doesn't just forget about it
