Mu Jiuzhou
Another op dad that comes out of nowhere. I usually like these types but it feels like it's written by someone that doesn't understand American culture too much or something. by just changing the city names or locations it would make it a bit more relatable to someplace that's unknown to the American readers, rather that making trying to make it fit and becoming unrelatable.
Don't read this BS unless you're a total simp. The FMC's enemies drugged her and her driver (MC) and they slept together ruining her reputation. To cover for it they make a deal with the MC to marry her in name but didn't take his end of the deal in the end cause he didn't need it anymore and seem to value the FMC. So the MC went on his way to make a name for himself to be "WORTHY" of her bs. Latter he came back, and he was made guilty for her business hardship and rising a daughter he wasn't aware of like any of that is his fault, it's too infuriating, especially when even the FMC is acting like she a betrayed lover or something, and it's clear how it would be all about how deep his pockets are, and how he save her and there witch might be the good part, it's clear there would be a lot of forced ridiculous misunderstanding as I'm already faced with many ones just in the start.
The first few chapters already give me the impression that this story doesn't make sense most of the time with lots of forced drama and unnecessary situations which would have been cleared if the ML acted as he was described. There is nothing intriguing or sensible about the relations and politics between the families and characters with a lot of unrealistic and carbon copy characters which makes it feel repetitive. An interesting summary but it doesn't deliver with my average expectations that expect the character to at least act the way they would have acted, at least throwing a reason why they didn't act that way.
a god plays with mortals in the mortal realm. this romance novel is nothing special at all. it's filled with cliches, nonsensical plots and characters, insane coincidences, and just general trash. the only people to like this are children and middle aged women who don't know what a good romance story is.
The story Is pretty good With decent character development. Some of the scenes repeat and a bunch of the characters act in ways that is hars to believe. The biggest down side is the Later chapters are really short so it takes a teally long tome to read the book because only only get one chapter every 11 hours.
I very much enjoying this book. From the start it had my attention as he was gone for 6 years, for me to know why and why he return. Although, you find a few mistakes in the writing. it was very well written. I just can't wait to finish the book to see how Lucas and Cheyenne future will be once h as s pass is revealed.
