Kathleens phone rang at that moment, interrupting them. She stopped and fished out her phone from her bag and saw it was a call from Eleanor. She stood up from her seat and informed Shawn, "Excuse me, I have to take this call."

A lovely smile spread across her previously angry face as she swiped the screen to accept the call. "Hello honey," she said making her way from the table.

At the word "honey", Shawn felt a jolt of anger in his chest and he stared fixedly at Kathleen's happy expression. Her eyes which had remained cold while speaking with him were now filled with so much love that Shawn burned with jealousy.

He was sure the one on the other end was her lover, for her to be so happy and relaxed. She has never smiled so sweetly with him the way she did with that person since she came back.

In the past, that smile belonged to only him.
